New Xoom MZ601 doesn't have USB menu

Computer - Windows Xp 32 bit
I have XOOM MZ601
GAS_ASIA_USAEVRSRTURTIRD_P016
Baseband UCAEVEUB1B8EU034.0R
Build H.6.1-38-9
There is no "usb tethering" at all neither in menu "Wireless and networks" nor in other menus.
When I connect this phone to PC, in device manager it gets detected as MZ601. But it doesn't take any drivers when I press "search automatically".
When select "applications" -> "development" - "usb debugging ON" it is getting detected as MPT
Of cource, I have Motorola_End_User_Driver_Installation_5.4.0_32bit.msi installed.
Can it be detected by the RSD lite in powered ON state?
Is there any way out?

Solved by installing Windows media Player 11 LOL

Root toolkit 1.8.1 , stuck at configuring "MTP drivers".

Hi, I am having problems with rooting, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
Problem: No ADB connection.
Here are the steops i am stuck in:
Step 2.2 and step 2.3.
2.) Plug your device in via USB.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
This was done by windows.
3.) Disable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Uncheck MTP.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
Nothing happened.
Going on with the installation(2.4-2.6) even with this not done, i found that i managed to see the nexus device , and that it installs a driver after turning USB debugging on.
However, continuing on with step 3, i can't install the Android ADB interface drivers.
Thanks for your time.
Lee
Step 2 is listed below for reference.
Step 2: Configuring your MTP drivers
- This step is to ensure you can access the files on your devices sdcard through windows explorer via USB.
1.) Disable USB debugging:
- Setttings > Developer Options > uncheck 'USB Debugging'.
2.) Plug your device in via USB.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
3.) Disable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Uncheck MTP.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
4.) Re-enable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Check MTP.
5.) Re-enable USB debugging:
- Setttings > Developer Options > Check 'USB Debugging'.
6.) Check to see if you can access your devices internal storage through explorer using the button below.
- 'Launch Explorer' > 'My Computer' > 'Devices' > Your Nexus device.
7.) Proceed to Step 3.

[SOLVED] How to install Asus drivers on Windows 10?

I've downloaded the `ASUS_Android_USB_drivers_for_Windows` found here and tried to install it from the `android_winusb.inf` file but despite the success window I still can't find the device through fastboot when it's in CSC Mode but on the other side when the phone is on ADB does find it and lists it.
How can I flash anything given this weird issue?
disable Windows driver signature enforcement (reboot options F7)
connect phone in fastboot mode, pick yellow triangle exclamation mark in windows device manager -> open properties -> Update Driver -> Browse my computer for driver software -> Let me pick from the list of device drivers on my computer -> Show all devices -> Have Disk -> android_winusb.inf -> Android Bootloader Interface
