Hi, I am having problems with rooting, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
Problem: No ADB connection.
Here are the steops i am stuck in:
Step 2.2 and step 2.3.
2.) Plug your device in via USB.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
This was done by windows.
3.) Disable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Uncheck MTP.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
Nothing happened.
Going on with the installation(2.4-2.6) even with this not done, i found that i managed to see the nexus device , and that it installs a driver after turning USB debugging on.
However, continuing on with step 3, i can't install the Android ADB interface drivers.
Thanks for your time.
Lee
Step 2 is listed below for reference.
Step 2: Configuring your MTP drivers
- This step is to ensure you can access the files on your devices sdcard through windows explorer via USB.
1.) Disable USB debugging:
- Setttings > Developer Options > uncheck 'USB Debugging'.
2.) Plug your device in via USB.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
3.) Disable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Uncheck MTP.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
4.) Re-enable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Check MTP.
5.) Re-enable USB debugging:
- Setttings > Developer Options > Check 'USB Debugging'.
6.) Check to see if you can access your devices internal storage through explorer using the button below.
- 'Launch Explorer' > 'My Computer' > 'Devices' > Your Nexus device.
7.) Proceed to Step 3.

the problem is my computer can't recognise the phone when usb debugging is on.
i try to use nexus 4 toolkit to install driver on my PC,but still can't show serial
how can i solve the problem?
uninstal drivers using nex toolkit, restart pc instal drivers using toolkit and then connect phone to pc
if you're on windows 8 you have to do some crazy special reboot garbage to get it to work...
Steps to be taken:
1.) Bring up Charms by mousing over to the right of the screen
2.) Go to Settings
3.) Change PC Settings
4.) General
5.) Scroll down to Advanced Startup > Restart Now
6.) Trouble shoot
7.) Advanced options
8.) Windows startup options
9.) Restart
10.) Choose F7 (I believe) or click on "Disable driver signature enforcement"
11.) Reboot

I have my sg4 plugged into my laptop, but it is not showing up in the android debug monitor. I ran it as administrator, and the device does show up in my computer.
Do you have debugging enabled in Developer options? Make sure you have the right drivers installed otherwise you may need a reboot on both devices
I have the Nexus 7 drivers installed, and the adb interface.
and I do have debugging enabled.
I think that you need the Samsung drivers. The Nexus 7 drivers are different ones. So download them here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads
They should also be installed if you install Kies.

There is a well-hidden menu that you may need to access.
Assuming you have developer mode enabled...
- Go to Settings, then Storage
- Click on the menu (top right)
- Select USB computer connection
You'll see 2 boxes:
- Tick 'media device'
I found that if neither box was ticked, I couldn't see my device...
Maybe the first time the dialog says "Allow this computer debugging" appears, you clicked NO.
Try go to Developer options and click "Revoke USB debugging authorizations", and reconnect the device.
I've redownloaded every driver, and my cp still says "Unknown Device". ADB and Fastboot do not recognize it. I have last nights nightly flashed in.
Any suggestions?
You got debugging on?
And under Storage > Menu > USB computer connection > MTP is selected?

try enabling developer options and untick usb debugging , this might help
Since many guys are not able to connect their yureka phone to PC so for them this thread might be helpful. I was also facing the same problem, even USB computer connection setting was not popping up. So following are the steps to resolve that problem.
1. Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Tap several times on Build Number to enable developer Options if you haven't enabled it yet.
2. Now You can see one setting titled "{ } Developer options" under Settings Menu. Tap on developer options and enable "Android Debugging".
3. Now connect your phone to PC via USB cable. Now You will see that your phone is successfully connected for debugging. Now without disconnection your phone from PC, go to settings->Storage->Menu (Three vertical Dots at top right corner of the screen). Now click on "USB computer connection", now the usb setting pop up will come. Now enable Media Device (MTP) checkbox.
4. Now you are ready to access your internal and external sd cards of your phone. Enjoy
hi. tried many drivers - and it doesnt connect
doesnt connect as external storage - only charges
and doenst connect with preloader drivers when switched off
in xp and windows 10
what can I do?
Go to your windows device manager then select the mtp device. now rightclick it and select "Update Driver Software" -> "Browse my computer for driver software" -> "Let me pick from a list of devide drivers on my computer" -> remove the tick in front of "Show compatible hardware" -> select "Default MTP-Device" -> now select "MTP-Device" on the right side -> accept the warning.
Youre finished, hope i could help you.
