Hey guys. I am using SM-G935FD indian version (INS). Yesterday i downloaded latest firmware (that samsung cloud) from sammobile.com. I tried updating the firmware with flashfire. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-easy-to-update-rooted-phone-t3342896) I pressed flash firmware package and kept "recovery" (because i wanted to keep twrp) unticked. But after that phone goes into bootloop. Only recovery was accessible. Phone was not booting up.
But thank god all my data was saved.
Then i odin flash the firmware with only AP ticked and damn my root was lost. My data was still reserved. Only was root was lost.
1. so is there any way to retain root while updating firmware with flashfire or odin
And
2.is it necessary to wipe internal data while rooting the device (as flashing twrp with odin and then booting into twrp for first time requires formatting internal storage). I know it is necessary otherwise phobe wont boots up but I DONT WANT TO LOOSE MY DATA. SO JUST PLZ TELL ME THE WAY TO ROOT AGAIN WITHOUT WIPING DATA.
Sorry if this question has been asked before. And i know we should not post any repeated question. But trust me i read all threads before posting here.but i cant find any solution for it.
Thanking you for your kind cooperation and support.

Plz help guys
Hello
I have unrooted my s7 edge using supersu and now it bootloop in the s7 edge screen , i have twrp and download mode access.
I have searched arround for someone having the same problem as me but no luck.
you have to reflash SuperSU to get the phone up running in odin. if u want to go back to stock u have to flash the original firmware in odin.
Can we rollback to MM on the s7 edge?
OK back to MM lol it is possible
Yes. You will lose all installed apps and data though. Download ODIN and flash this OS. http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=75535027AEF511E6B04AFA163EE8F90B
It will get you down to 6.0.1
Don't see why not. They're both bootloader 4. Why you'd want to tho....
Cm root CF - auto root difference nougat Active S7 edge devices and still using nougat IMEI thrown S7 Edge devices into the system, you should be able to install the superuser application into the root without the need to get the drk without the need to reset the Samsung article without getting the boot system root file Odin and z3xbox flash from the AP tab
Thanks to this file without the need for hard format, twrp DM verity flash device can be root without resetting the device
Root method on IMEI mounted devices without going to the network

Don't forget to factory reset and clear the caches via Recovery after you flash.
Enjoy!
