Don't forget to factory reset and clear the caches via Recovery after you flash.
Enjoy!

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500F). I downloaded the Marshmallow firmware from SamMobile and flashed it via Odin. Success. However, after using it for a few days, I found a lot of bugs. I tried to download the Lollipop firmware from SamMobile and flashed it again via Odin. After rebooting, it wouldn't go past the "Samsung" boot screen. Tried to reflash the Marshmallow ROM, but still, same problem. I have already tried to factory reset and wipe cache in recovery and reboot again but it still doesn't work.

My work phone is a Verizon Galaxy S7 and has had nothing but problems with Nougat since I updated. Factory reset hasn't fixed my issues and I want to return to Marshmallow if possible.
My question is, is it safe/plausible to do so?
I'd be using the firmware and guide (return to stock) from here:

Thanks
Good to go as I found some information in various threads. In case anyone is wondering or stumbles upon this one, here's what I did:
I have the Galaxy S7 Verizon GT-930V that was running latest Nougat OTA from VZW
1. Downloaded the latest MM firmware from Android File Host:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120708283
2. Downloaded and installed Odin 3.12 Prince Comsy:
http://dl.psouza4.com/android/Odin3_v3.12_PrinceComsy.zip
3. Downloaded and installed Samsung USB Drivers:
http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117
4. Downloaded and installed adb system wide:
http://dl.psouza4.com/android/adb-setup-1.4.3.exe
5. Unzipped firmware and loaded each file into Odin and flashed.
Great success.
I'm wondering why I have to flash stock firmware in Odin and then immediately afterwards, do a factory reset in Recovery Mode for the s8. With the s7, you could just flash the stock firmware in Odin and be good, everything becomes reset. Is there something different with the s8?

Dear community,
I use a Galaxy Tab Galaxy Tab A 10.1 T580 with Stock Firmware on Marshmallow 6.01 installed.
I rooted it with CF-autoroot (old guide) from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/how-to/root-t3674409, TWRP and SuperSU installed.
Knox is tripped already.
Now my question:
How can I safely update to Android 7 Nougat without bootlooping or bricking the device, because Samsungs system updater app says that (because of rooting) my device's software has changed and therefore cannot be updated automatically over-the-air (OTA) anymore.
THANK YOU!
Download the latest stock ROM for your region from here. https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-a-101-2016/SM-T580/
You'll need to flash with Odin after a full wipe. Then you'll need to download the latest TWRP for your tablet and flash it with Odin because flashing the stock ROM restores the stock recovery.
Hi, I want to restore to stock my S7 Edge, SM-G935F, I downloaded the latest firmware version and odin but idk what do.
Instead OEM Unlock option is missing on developer options. Pls help.
Just download the latest view for your device, put the device in download mode and install rom via odin.
