Rollback - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answer

Can we rollback to MM on the s7 edge?
OK back to MM lol it is possible

Yes. You will lose all installed apps and data though. Download ODIN and flash this OS. http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=75535027AEF511E6B04AFA163EE8F90B
It will get you down to 6.0.1

Don't see why not. They're both bootloader 4. Why you'd want to tho....

Revert back to stock to get Nougat

I only have supersu installed, how can I get Nougat update without wiping?
Flash the same Stock firmware you have on your device and this shouldn't wipe it.

Downgrading from CM 14 Nougat to stock TW 5.0 lollipop???

Sorry if I'm posting in wrong section actually I'm a newbie
Hi all, I've updated my Note 3 SM-N900 to Cm 14 nougat 7.1.1 unofficial lonage os by ha_3g. Now i want to go back to my stock Twiz 5.0 lollipop, is it possible I've all my rom backedup by TWRP. Can i restore my backup without any problem?
Thanks in advance
nah, usually i just flash my firmware using odin without backup
Usually if you want to revert back to stock firmware, everything will be removed, including your custom recover(TWRP in this case), miscellaneous files and folders that were previously on your custom ROM. So, in summary, you won't be able to recover your backed up apps/data as TWRP will get wiped out as well, being replaced by the stock Samsung recovery.
Yep, wipe system, data, cache & dalvik then restore your backup.
Before updating I've backed up my stock Twiz rom via TWRP, now i just want to revert back to my Stock rom which was lollipop 5.0. I'm afraid bcz I've seen some where that we cannot install 5.0 (lower version) over 7.1 (greater) version it will brick the phone bcz of some bootloader issues, btw I've not messed up with bootloader, so plz advise me if it will be safe or not.
Lot of Thanks for the members of the forum who replied in no time & who r ready to help. Salute to all of u. you people r great
Only a stock firmware flashed with Odin can upgrade your bootloader.
And the latest official firmware for Note 3 is Lollipop 5.0.
So your bootloader still 5.0 even if you flashed a nougat rom.
Even more, custom roms don't touch bootloader or modem partitions, ever.
Go ahead
Hey bro. Just go to sammobile.com and download your rom and flash via Odin. Only Odin can downgrade your BL and Modem
Thanks alot for the clarification I'll go ahead now.
I can swap between 7.1 Nougat and 5.0 stock, with no issues, through my nandroids.
If you had a nandroid before, you shouldn't have any issue just using the TWRP function to restore your backup. It will be exactly as you had it before.
The only difference will be that you will still have TWRP installed, etc.
Anyways, you can swap back and forth as much as you like. You don't have to wipe anything, or use Odin, since you made a nandroid already.
Yes you can go back to lollipop . I have done that in my sm 900 exynos version. marshmallow and nougat drains battery

Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T350 Only Boots to Recovery and Not to OS + To Update to Noug

Hello. I have a problem that I flashed the TWRP Recovery (so I could flash the xposed uninstaller, since the xposed framework doesn't work on my armeabi v7a). I was using Flashify to flash it. After I flashed I touched the reboot now button (without knowing that hitting an unofficial reboot button can make my tab on boot to recovery) and booted to the TWRP recovery and flashed the uninstaller. When I hit the Reboot System button, it booted to recovery again! I can boot to download mode, but can't boot the OS!:crying: Can someone help me fix it w/out loosing data? And also, I would like to know if I can update to the latest Android Nougat and have it rooted w/out also loosing data. Please, can someone help me?
UPDATE: I flashed the stock recovery using ODIN and now my tablet is working! :victory: Now, I ONLY need to know how can I update to Nougat without loosing root and data.
If you take the OTA update to nougat you should be able to update your system without losing your data. You may just have to reflash the SuperSU zip through twrp.
Being rooted now, it might not download the OTA update on its own. My tablet when I am on the QD1 MM build, will automatically download the OTA update for use at a later time. In your case you could download the OTA first and then do your rooting.
But I had this same problem under slightly different circumstances.
I used the Widget from the TWRP Manager app to reboot to recovery, and after I used that my Tablet would reboot to recovery and nothing else. I had to reflash the ODIN firmware to fix it.

So, you mean that if I unroot my tablet, then I could get the OTA update from the official samsung server?
Plus, if it's not the case, do you think I can use Flashfire to flash the firmware?

Yes because the OTA Update is only a couple hundred MB versus the 1.3GB size of the ODIN Firmware.
Or you can use the Samsung SmartSwitch PC app to get the official firmware downloaded and installed. But that program will just download the ODIN firmware for you which is over a GB.
Here is a link to the ODIN Firmwares available: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=154234
The build, " T350XXU1CQJ1_T350XAR1CQJ1_XAR.zip" is the Nougat 7.1.1 firmware.

One more question, the OTA detection for some reason it doesn't work. Now, I want to attempt an OTA update using FlashFire and I also selected the Modem firmware (13 MB) and the NON-HLOS.bin firmware (12 MB) and EverRoot enabled to inject SuperSU. Should I flash it like that?

I wouldn't use the ever root option. There is twrp and a supersu zip that can be used for the nougat build.
I'd let it remove root during the update and then re-root afterwards.
Hi, I updated my tablet using Smart Switch. It's working as a charm! Can you send me a link to get the twrp recovery for my tablet with Nougat? Merry Xmas!????

Yes just flash it with odin.I usually wipe everything with twrp except OTG and externel SD.Sometimes takes a few attempts to flash. When using odin sometimes when flashing it keeps coming up waiting 20 seconds on bootloader throughout the process and says pass at the end of it but rom never boots so just flash twrp again factory reset and wipe dalvike system cache and data then put phone in download mode and reflash through odin. You know when phone is flashing correctly as the script loads everything for flashing with no rubbish like waiting for bootloader 20 seconds.Have downgraded a few times to MM and back up to NOUGAT and mostly works on 3rd attempt on odin.

A310F flash fail, Odin, brick, no 4parted firmware nougat avaailable, how to go on?

Had A310F with custom ROM, then went back to stock marshmallow.
Now wanted to go for latest Nougat with the marshmallow rooted and twrp on.
Samfirm only gives my one oart firmware which does not fir in ap slot on odin 3.12.
using 4 part nougat carrier specific not free one it fials on flashing.
What is the way now to get a stock android 7.0 device here with which firmware please?
does flash fail due to downgrade?
think i deleted something in marshmallow rom to make bootloader security somewhat fit to downgrade
Try to download the firmware from sammobile.com i think you can't downgrade just download another stock firmwaee for the a310f (your device) and try to reflash via odin
