I've searched far and wide for an answer to my problem and I've returned with nothing. It's been almost 24 hours without my phone and I think I'm losing it. I've downloaded and tried LGUP (alongside Uppercut), LG FlashTool 2014, LG Bridge, LG DLLs, etc and nothing has worked to flash my phone to stock with the KDZ. The closest I've gotten it to work is with LGUP but stupid me, I managed to edit the buildprop before it went self destruct and changed the device identifier to a Google Pixel XL and LGUP refuses to cooperate. Any help is appreciated. Please. :good:
I've managed to get into fastboot. I'm sure I can do something from here but idk what to put. Any help is appreciated once again

My guess is that you're rooted considering you've edited the build.prop? Why not enter recovery and flash a stock rom?

Can you not get into TWRP?? I believe its the same way as everyone else..\
Hold the volume down button and the power button and as soon as you see the LG logo left go of the power button and press it again. This manual step is a pain in the arse, but it will get you there eventually. Since youre rooted, you also get the "This device is corrupted screen" yes? The LG logo popup you are looking for is right before that.
What I do for easy and fast access is this. I keep the back cover off and hold the volume down button for ease. I hold the power button, let go, and press it again and ususally that first try doesnt work. As soon as I see the corrupt screen I take the battery out very quickly and put it back in and repeat the process. After a few tries the LG logo will hang before the corrupt screen and that gives you the time you need to let go of the power button and then hold it again until the factory reset screen comes up. Just hit yes twice... It will go into TWRP.

Well with the corrupt screen, it seems that the time frame that would allow you into Recover/TWRP is shorted. So pulling the battery after trying usually gave me more than enough time to boot into it. Probably not the best for the phone though xD

i am planning to take the phone to repair, and saying it happend during one of the htc updates..
but if someone out there could help me unbrick i would really appreciate it.

I had almost exactly the same problem, nothing works for me. Phone keeps rebooting after HTC logo. recovery is no go.
HTC service center needs to replace the motherboard in the end.
good luck
Are you certain that you cannot even get into fastboot? Take battery out, unplug the usb cable and put the battery back in to stop it from getting stuck in a reboot cycle and then hold back and power on.
If you cannot even get into Fastboot then thats about as bricked as you can get i'm afraid.
I performed a SPL flash, the phone rebooted ,it took long time rebooting so i got panicked i pulled out the battery ( wasn't a smart move ).
tried to start the phone.. now i was stuck at the first splash screen.
-pulled out the battery and back again start the phone... stuck at the first splash screen or boot looping endlessly,
-did all possible key combinations to get in fastboot, recovery mode... nothing.
-cried for help, got directed to a post similar to mo my case... worked for me hope it dose for everyone else.
here is what i did (followed):
-On the PC, i ran the command 'fastboot boot recoveryimage.img'.
-At this point the command says 'waiting for device' (or something like that).
-I removed the battery.
-went sleep
-woke up in the morning, went back to my old duct taped SE phone
-came home in the evening
-I Connected USB.
-I inserted the battery.
-I booted the phone while holding the HOME key.
-The phone still froze at the first splash screen, but then suddenly, the waiting fastboot command detected the phone and booted the recovery image!
flashed again but this time checked all steps twice before i check them a third time, and flashed the SPL and radio and the rom.

sounds like you may have not installed radio/spl in the proper order.. shouldnt be a problem if you can get into fastboot... please tell us exactly what you did, and in what order..
hey,.. sorry for the long time since last time..
i sended in my phone
i couln't get into either fastboot or nothing else.. the CMD said waiting for device when tried to fastboot while in logo..
the only thing i could get into (that booted otherwise) was the action + power
i first updated followed a toturial where i updated my phone.. first spl, then radio, and then recovery img..
but since i read about people having probs with a radio where the phone boots but after a 4 secs restart i installed a new radio and thats where the probs started happening.. and then i could not get past the boot logo..
thx for the many answers and sorry i first come back now to see ..
if they cant fix my phone i will try follow ur guide Ch3w
BTW
as soon as i get my phone back i am up for another go i think..
i got a sapphire 32a.. can anyone give a link to a good tutorial?
thx
From my limited knowledge, u are always supposed to update radio first then spl then recovery.

I followed that exact one.. but when the 6.35.10.18 failed (kept reboot every 3-5 sec) i decided to install the 6.35.08.29 instead and thats where it failed.. :/
THIS! NOW! COME ON!
This is my problem also! Please help me to un-brick.
As I saw on youtube, it's a 'semi-brick'.
It's not a brick if you can go into fastboot.
Riffbox unbrick
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Sorry to hear mate, hope it gets fixed. Don't really have any helpful suggestions for the un-bricking part, but next time upgrading radio etc., I'd suggest using Eyegor's radio switcher. Although if you sent it to the dealer, you'll probably have to re-root if they fixed it (but I know, that you know how to do that, you helped me in my early days )
I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Try this. i tried and it worked for me. press the power button and home together and push the battery in at that time. it would take you to recovery .
Ok, the guy I sent it to, couldn't make something, so the phone will return to me, possibly tomorrow.

try installing a normal RUU .. that should do it .. depends on your computer some times finding the phone though..
this thread died more than a half year ago when i created it :/.. in the end I send my phone to the repair shop
Hey people, I usually upgrade roms on my blackstone, been 2 years now, all fine, until yesterday after a task 29.{Ypsmav rom} My phone didn't want to start, eternal freeze on start up with the htc logo ..
Can you kindly help me please.Tried several HR, to no avail..
It's likely not a freeze. Can you still enter the bootloader? (press and hold volume down while switching on or resetting the device). If yes, try putting a valid blackstone ROM as "BLACIMG.nbh" in the root of an sd card while the device is not connected to your PC, and flash the rom.

Known Issue:
During the first start of the device, it may freeze on the white screen or just showing the background.
in order to avoid this problem, pls proceed as follows:
After flashing the device will do the UC (user customization) and will restart. After restarting when on the white screen, just hit a few times the top left corner of the screen, until you see the dropdown icon menu to appear. You can also hit the send button and topbar. When the device reacts just let it finish the startup processes and Sense should start without problems.

If you are not able to make the device to react, proceed as follows:
- hardreset the device: turn off (by removing battery), press volup+voldown, hit the power button and follow the instructions.
- the device will start, run the UC customization and then restart.
- Hit the top left corner as described on the previous paragraph.

Hey, worked just fine. Thxs
Tbh a brick is when the phone does nothing, i.e. won't turn on, no lights or anything....hence as useless as a brick. If your phone is stuck at htc logo, can enter bootloader or even if the light comes on when connected to a charger......it is not bricked and can be recovered.
I have tinkered with many phones and literally bricked 3 of them.......not pleasant.
I'm not having a dig at anyone, just want people to stop using the term "bricked" when in fact the phone is not bricked
I'm glad you got your issue resolved
For future, make sure you have a BLACIMG.nbh (rom file) in the root of your sd card before you do a task29 as a t29 wipes everything including the rom, hence why your device got stuck at splash screen (as no rom to load )

Today i did a flash firmware ( G935FXXU1DPLT_G935FOXA1DPLT_BTU_FULL_SAMFIRM.NET) by Odin and all seems to be ok by Odin... See the screenshots. S7 got restarted but still freezes as in the beginning.
Any help please??

I tried to boot recovery again, same issue... I didn't install new application or something added to phone for more than 2 weeks, from then i haven't observed issues with my s7 edge.
I tried back to flash it now, but with my 7% low battery, i couldn't hope more than this ! i'm letting it charging now until his 100% then i'll retry to flash it.
It doesn't charge or shows any sign of life... what the hell! what must I do???
The best solution for that is bring your phone to samsung service center or wait for other member reply in this thread. Maybe some other could help you with your problem. Anyway i'm sorry couldn't help you.
Did your phone is rooted before? Its strange that happened to your phone. Or did you flash anything or something in your phone before?

Hi man,
Thanks for the reply.
I didn't flash berfore or tried to root it. i just used Lucky patcher for non root user.. don't know what it could do to the s7 edge knowning that it hasn't privilege to change anything in the software of samsung.
Problem with samsung warranty, is that about 10 months ago s7 edge felt on the ground, got back cover little bit broken. so the local shop told me that sure they will ask for reparation because there is a crack behind the phone so certainly that the issue comes from the crack... so i think i'll just repair the cover and send it properly to samsung, 'cause it stills under warranty.
i've got him back but problem is when i launch the odin flash, it reboots the phone and makes a fail for the flashing rom... it does a bootloop...
I'm not sure bro but sounds like your eMMC phone is broken that's why you're not allowed to flash firmware. But try to contact other expert member here try to send a pm message maybe they can help you out.

I have had similar issues.
If the phone does not react to any pushing of buttons, I suggest you completely let the battery drain. Just leave it for 28 hours without charge. Then charge and try again.
Second, if you can get into download mode, use samsung smart switch and or Kies to get emergency firmware recovery going. This also worked for me.
If the phone does not react after powerdrain and recharge, hand it in to a service center.

Yes SmartSwitch on the PC.
It has the recovery option. You must be able to get into Download mode on the S7
I did it. It works to drain it and recharge so i have flashed with the official nougat firmware but then bootlop at samsung logo. When i tried to force reset it. It came bacl to the blue light so now im forced to wait until it ďisappear and then recovery mode to see if i can access into it

Sorry if I am over simplifying but it is important to be very accurate. As you state that "you" flashed the nougat software? Sounds like you used odin or
Did you:
1) Put your phone in download mode? (not recovery)
2) Did the PC recognise your phone?
3) Did you use Samsung Smart Switch on the PC?
4) Did you use the Menu in Smart Switch on the PC: "More", "Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization" option?
5) and then choose Device initialization
6) Input your model name exactly (on the back of your samsung eg SM-G935F?)
7) Hit "OK"

I'll try it this evening, because 100%'s battery to drain take about 28hrs like you said.
Hopefully your method will work for me
See you soon
He is right try to use Samsung Smart Switch it's officiall software.
I apologize if i have posted this in the wrong place.
I have a vs995, I am following the dirty Santa guide in order to unlock bootloader and root.
I am not getting any errors during the process.
After step 2
I am able to successfully backup my bootbackup.img and abootbackup.img to the pc.
the phone reboots and start vibrating (so far so good),
Then i run step 3 in order to flash twrp.
I dont get any errors and this step completes.
However I noticed that it still says that the bootloader is locked.
Then phone reboots, it gets to the verizon logo with the dots moving from left to right, and is vibrating.
I believe that it supposed to say in this vibrating state for like 30 minutes until the home screen comes up.
. However in my case it stays in this mode (vibrating with verizon log spinning) for ever.
I have let it sit like that for hours and nothing happens.
The only way I can get out of this loop is to flash a firmware.
I have tried this numerous times with firmware 13a (VS99513A_04_1205_ARB00.kdz) and 12a (VS99512A_06_1114_ARB00.kdz)
I noticed that I cannot get into recovery, i get that error saying your phone is corrupt and will shut off in a few minutes.
Am I DoiNG sOMething wrong?
Shod I be on an earlier firmware then 12a?
Is there any other way to unlock the bootloader or is there a different firmware that I need to be on?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thats pretty much it
It says locked, but if you try and flash/boot something through fastboot, it should let you. TWRP should also be installed if Im not mistaken.
The engineering bootloader reports that it is locked, but it isn't.
Ignore the warning about your phone not booting, and use the key combination to get to TWRP.
Hold vol down + power until the LG logo appears. Immediately release power and then hold power .. never let go of vol down.
Ignore any messages that appear until you are at the factory reset screen. THEN you can release vol down and power. Press vol down to choose yes. You will be in TWRP.
Flash the Alpha ROM for the VS995, and you should be good.

Thank you so much that got me further along.
I was able to flash the latest twrp and superSU
Still having issues with phone vibrating none stop and stuck on the verizon logo.
As expected I am getting that stupid google warning about hte bootloader being unlocked everytime I boot,
Since i cant get the vibrating to stop.
I tried flashing the bootbackup.img but the display was corrupted, so i re flashed the boot1.img and went back to the none stop vibration and being stuck on the Verizon logo.
Per your suggestion I will try to flash the omega rom next

I tried flashing the bootbackup.img but the display was corrupted, so i re flashed the boot1.img and went back to the none stop vibration and being stuck on the Verizon logo.
Per your suggestion I will try to flash the omega rom next

As I recall the vibration is a side effect from unlocking the bootloader with dirty santa and it will stop once you boot into the rom and won't come back until you reboot the phone

@klute1 if you flash the US996 firmware, but keep the VS995 system, the vibration will stop.

Thanks everyone
I was able to get into twrp then flash Omega rom on it, and get it working.
Thanks again.
I had to re-flash a new kernel to get passed the display issues.
@runningnak3d In regards to the vibration side affect, i saw another thread that if I reflash the backed up bootloader it should fix it.
If this is not correct, can you point me in the right direction or give me some links about flashing the US996 firmware, but keeping the VS995 system. I really dont want to through the data restoration process again since I have over 300 apps.
Thanks in Advance
Greetings, i want to install this ROM but in order to unlock bootloader i have to check "Enable oem unlock" Which as you can see is not available. Anyone knows about this problem or possible fix please?

This is not a rom thread so no idea what rom you're talking about.
You dont need to enable oem unlock because to root most v20s (aside from the h918 and us996) you need to use the dirty Santa exploit which replaces part of the bootloader with a leaked engineering version that doesn't care if it's unlocked or not.
Guide here
Basically rollback to 13a with LG up, do exploit. You may substitute magisk instead of supersu, and I recommend upgrading to the latest twrp afterwards.
Hi all,
I was wondering what anyone can tell me about the problem I've got with my Le Eco Le Pro 3 phone. So, I had access to the phone before I jammed both the volume up and down buttons, which caused me to go into fastboot mode. Initially I would get the trusty ole platform tools and just "fastboot continue" the phone into the regular boot. It worked the first time, but I guess the volume down button was still jammed and I got myself into a little bit of a loop. Now, instead of going into fastboot mode, I go straight into Recovery Mode, which I've had to translate because it was in Chinese. The two options I have in recovery mode are to "clear data and do a factory reset" or "install an update.zip". Now, I instead opted to exit out of Recovery mode by pressing the bottom left option, but it just boots back into Recovery mode. I haven't rooted the phone and I have no usb debugging enabled because the issue sort of popped up outta nowhere. Initially, I probably should have just backed up all the data on the device and not had to go through any troubles, but that's why I'm making this post. I would also like to further note that I do have a lockscreen code, so if that "encrypts" the data (making it harder to get to, I guess) is my only guess.
I read on another thread where I can essentially unlock the bootloader through fastboot mode and then be able to enable USB debugging that way and maybe manually remove the files from my phone and just factory reset it to see if I can get the phone running. I also looked into just straight up factory resetting it, but I would probably have to root it before I do so that I can run a third party tool to get the data after the reset. I'm also quite new to this whole issue but I'm stressed and straight out of options.
I would also like to note that there was a blue light when I had tried starting the phone on the upper right hand corner where it would indicate the battery level. The whole recovery boot loop could have been caused by a battery malfunction, but I do get a response from the device in fastboot mode (so I think the phone is not entirely dead). It also charged up to 100% without issue.
Basically, I just wanted to see what anybody had to say about my problem and if you all have any advice (like how do I backup a phone that is not rooted).
Many thanks in advance.
I've also posted an image with the recovery mode

Did you try to fastboot boot TWRP?
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6010 using Tapatalk
The phone doesn't have TWRP and has stock ROM. Installing TWRP would require me to OEM unlock it and then flash the current bootloader (thus replacing the original recovery boot). Unless I'm completely wrong and there is a way to install TWRP without losing the data on the phone, then I would love to be enlightened because I'm at my wits end.
I tried charging it to 100% and restarting it but it just leads me to the recovery screen. I'm not entirely sure if the phone volume buttons are still jammed, because that could still be the case.

Fix the buttons the phone should boot
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6010 using Tapatalk
Alrighty, so a little update. I got the phone's buttons removed but it still boots into the recovery mode. The metal button on the side was removed but the button module remains. It's just not jammed any longer, which now begs the question: Why is it still booting in Recovery mode? I am currently charging it to 100% to see maybe it could be bugged with the battery, but that is the update so far. Button module is no longer jammed but we are still booting into the Recovery mode.
Any suggestions would definitely help in my 2 month long battle with this phone.
Btw, I also replaced the screen because the repairman who removed the buttons broke the original one and the new screen responds to all touch.
