And what firmware did you install, exactly? Go into Settings, About Phone, am am looking for both the base and version and Build Number.
A screen shot would probably save time, if you don't want to type all of it out.

The only thing left to check is that the CSC and related stuff updated when it flashed. KNOX Status Samsung (Found on the Play Store) can display this information.
If it all updated correctly, it should look like this:
Device: Galaxy S7 Edge
Model number: SM-G935F
Android version: 7.0 (Nougat)
Android security patch level: January 1, 2017
Baseband version: G935FXXU1DQB1
Kernel version: 3.18.31-10422490
Build number: NRD90M.G935FXXU1DQB3
AP: G935FXXU1DQB3
CP: G935FXXU1DQB1
CSC: G935FOXA1DQB1
Release date: January 7, 2017
The big one should be the CSC, your country code. G935F "OXA" is the country code for the UK, G935F "MEO" is Portugal. Looking around, on an unlocked phone, the CSC being incorrect may cause issues.
If everything looks like it does posted above, then you might have to wipe and reload it. G935FXXU1DPLT is the UK 7.0 original firmware, G935FXXU1DQB3 is the update. Maybe try loading the DPLT first and see if that helps?

Speaking strictly from a cellular tower perspective, it sounds like your phone isn't either properly transmitting it's registration request, or the command channel isn't being received correctly.
If it's not staying registered on a tower, the cellular system has no idea where your phone is, assumes it's off or out of range, and goes directly to your voicemail.
The firmware & Samsung S7 phones for the UK use the same type of GSM (2G)/UMTS (3G)/LTE (4G) frequencies as Portugal Samsung S7 phones, the control channels might be different. When your phone isn't being used (no data is transmitting, screens off, etc), your phone is trying to talk to your cellular providers towers. It's very low data, low usage talking, but it's how the system knows where you are.
If the radio channel that your phone uses to tell the network where you are is talking to the wrong channel, then you get missed calls. Some of this programming may be programmed into the firmware itself.
When something makes your data connection kick in, it re-registers with the tower, and that's when you get your voicemail notifications and such.
When you load a different county / region's firmware, especially a completely upgraded one like Android 7, you always run the risk that the basic phone functions won't work properly.
I checked in the app that you said, and it looks like you said. The storage thing is that the Phone is always connected to the tower, the 3g is always connected and im always usina the Internet. http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/58b68f13d9156/Screenshot_20170301-090511.png?

Sorry for the necro bump, but I have scoured the internet looking for an answer to this issue, which sounds exactly like mine.
I have this issue using a Verizon branded s7 Edge with official US Nougat firmware on Total Wireless. Everything works fine on Android 6.0.1, but any Android N 7.x official Samsung firmware I use calls will go directly to Voicemail upon rebooting the device. It also says searching for service, data works, and I can make a call. As soon as I make a call everything corrects itself and the phone will work perfectly until I reboot again.

I was curious about how to check if my device has all the updates. I just got the new note 2013 edition, and the device had only updated twice when I turned on my tablet. I'm reading others have recieved three updates out of the box and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
Updates are released locally, and provider locked devices (like phones) get updates whenever the provider offers them. There is no universal software update mechanism by Samsung.
I was intrigued by the topic title, because so far even with Auto Updates switched off I got bombarded with forced messages that an update was available, even while watching movies on it. Really hard to miss, or ignore.

I purchased this phone from ebay, and of course the seller will not accept a refund/replacement..... arg.
Anyways, i tried to activate my google FI service on the phone, and i noticed it wouldn't connect to a cell network. I tried my google fi card in another nexus 6 (not p) and it works fine, so i tried another t-mobile sim in the 6p and that doesn't work either.
It seems that it will kinda connect to sprints network, SOMETIMES, if the moons align. i live in the middle of Minneapolis where my rooms mates phones both sprint and t-mobile, work with full signal.
My question, could the ebay seller have done something like messed with the phones modem/ROM/Radio that would cause this?
So far, i have unlocked the bootloader and re-flashed the angler-mhc19q-factory-f5a4e7a1.tgz 6.0.1 image , but that has not improved the situation.
Any one have any ideas?
For what it's worth file a claim with PayPal which trumps eBay's policies if you paid via PayPal. It may take awhile, you may initially lose but they have an appeal process which may allow you to return to seller for refund. The process may take some time and effort but give it a whirl.
Now, as far as the Fi, I rarely connect to Sprint as of late even if I force it using the codes. Join the project Fi community on Google plus!
It may not be the phone as it seems it may be a Fi issue. Here are the codes to force connections:
*#*#34777#*#*Sprint code
*#*#34866#*#* TMO code
*#*#346398#*#* Fi next
*#*#342886#*#* Fi auto
*#*#34963#*#* Fi fix
Copy one of them, open your dialer as if to make a call, paste the full code but don't make or complete the call. Just close the dialer.
You can also ask Fi to send a replacement sim card. Also, call their support team which is actually pretty good!

Thanks for that information. I actually did try those codes while I was on the phone with tech support with Google Fi. Problem is it never fully switches over to the T-Mobile code. It's like it's almost stuck on Sprint mode.
I was thinking I'm filing a claim through PayPal, but course I'd much rather get the phone working been waiting all that time. Is it possible that the owner was messing around with ROMs and screwed something up that might be fixable? On that note, does flashing the file I mentioned in the original post reflash the modem or radio? Could I possibly flashing older ROM and modem/radio that might work?
Its possible the previous owner was in the service menu and changed some settings. Dial *#*#4636#*#* and have a look around. It could be set on the wrong band or roaming mode. I had a similar issue that I created myself by choosing the USA radio band by accident. I beat my head against the wall before I figured out it needed to be band 6 instead. It could also be set on LTE/CDMA auto prn like mine which works great for Verizon but I suspect would cause issues for Fi or any of the GSM carriers.
---------- Post added at 10:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:34 PM ----------
When you reflashed the image did you do that via fastboot or recovery? The radio and bootloader can only be updated by using fastboot commands. Heisenberg has an excellent guide on how to do this in the general section. Its the first post.
File a claim with paypal.. They are real good in the resolution process
Does it connect on edge? I'm curious because after I upgraded my 6p to the mhc19q build I've had a lot of trouble getting anything but edge on t-mobile. Working with both t-mo and Google support now.
This one has me flummoxed. Not sure if it's a phone issue, carrier issue, or something else.
Phone is an AT&T branded S7 Edge. I'm using it on the tracfone network.
Starting about 3 weeks ago, I noticed that while on 4G I cannot use any app that requires login, cannot reach the Google Play Store, and cannot authenticate in DolphinHD via https (but I *CAN* log into websites that use normal http logins).
Speedtest apps shows normal ping times for my area (50-150ms depending on server), normal download speeds (5-15mbps down), but 0.00 upload speeds.
I have deleted the APNs on my phone and re-added several, rebooting between trying each, all with the same results.
Everything is fine when I am on wifi; I can use all the apps and authenticate as needed. It's only while on 4G that the blocking occurs.
Tracfone support was useless. I've not done a wipe of the phone; that would be my last resort.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Same exact issue for me on two of my phones . Using s7 edge and s7 on straight talk.
---------- Post added at 09:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:59 PM ----------
I was on the phone with straight talk for over 4 hours . They were useless .... please keep me updated on a fix when you find it. This has been driving me crazy. It's like a firewall or setting on the new s7 or Android 6.0 is blocking uploads
All,
We have all gone through multiple discussions on how to enable VoLTE in India with google and huawei not supporting us appropriately. As discussed in the Indian thread, starting this thread to identify a developer who could prove VoLTE would work on Nexus 6p and we could appropriately reward the developer. Looking forward to your thoughts and identifying a developer.
Jio blocked voLTE on Huawei devices I heard. There's nothing the devs could do.

There is no VoLTE in our devices for them to block....
I called huawei India customer support. They say its a hardware related issue. So nothing can be done.
I feel there is some compatibility issues with Jio. Lte keeps on dropping after every 5-10 mins.. Not just volte, even lte doesn't work properly with Jio.

Can someone turn on VoLTE provison in the phone settings by dailing *#*#4636#*#* in dailer and see if this setting makes any difference for Jio?
I'm able to turn it on but when ever i reopen it is going in off state. I'm using Airtel.

Can anybody help me to get into LTE engineering mode of nexus 6p or get into builtin app called HiddenMenu in the system image. Dialer is supposed to respond to these "secret" codes: 33284, 3282, 786 and 7764726790. But all activities of the app require com.permission.HIDDENMENU permission for the caller to hold and the dialer doesn't hold this permission dialing these codes.
Rooting is not helping.

my 6P is running nougat and have a Jio sim. but after granting all the permissions for Jio Join app .. it still is not working properly. whenever i call somebody through the app it once or twice bell rings on other person's phone and after that my phone loses the data network (it doesn't loses the network signal, only the data connectivity) mostly 95% of the time .... i dont know if its the compatibility issue with nougat or something else because a friend of mine is having marshmallow running Oneplus 2 .. and he is not facing this issue.
please share the experience of using Jio Join app... whether u r also facing the same issue or not ?

Had a conversation with Google Support regarding VoLTE
yesterday i first called huawei support regarding the VoLTE no available on Nexus 6P. Although i was expecting a pathetic reply from them, and they didn't disappoint. First he told me that its the network provider (Jio) which doesn't provides this feature. Then when i went into details with him he finally said that VoLTE is not provided by manufacturer (Huawei).
Finally i called Google Support. Representative was extremely good in responding to every query that i asked him. He said -
1. Nexus 6P doesn't Support VoLTE right now.
2. Our technical team is looking into this matter as more and more queries are coming regarding this.
3. Nexus 6P is hardware capable to support VoLTE.
4. In Future Google might release an OTA to enable this update. (Please keep in mind its not a 100% surety)
5. If OTA happens
Google will be updating handsets purchased directly from Google Store and for all the other handsets google will be providing huawei the OTA to update those devices
so as per that conversation, its google who has to enable the VoLTE support on Nexus 6P.
So my advice would be to call Google Support and put as many queries as we can .. so that they feel the need to enable this feature.

I just rooted on the t mobile U firmware and I have a few of the common issues. The video calling option isnt there. The wifi password wont save and a few other minor issues. I fixed the wifi password not staying. Now I just wanna salve this video calling issue. The option to turn it on isnt even in the settings. Im just wondering what the most stable set up you guys have seen. The U firmware. The U firmware flashing the cp from t mobile or just the straight t mobile firmware.
If you search for ROOT Samsung S7 Edge, you'll find the issue with the WiFi very quickly. You have to download an app, and change a setting within it to keep it saved. Video calling, never concerned with it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/guide-post-root-common-bugs-fixes-t3427600
Video calling is specific to the carrier's custom OS that they use for their phones. That is why you do not see it as an option in the U firmware. It isn't carrier branded. But if you are on tmo, then you should be able to download their video calling app and have it auto integrate into the U firmware for use as normal. Never used it on the S7, so haven't tried it. I did bake it into a few ROMs before that were tmo and it worked fine.

Refer to that link to get video calling working correctly. I am on the tmo U firmware and just tried video calling my wife and it worked as intended. Hope this helps you out. Oh, and just search for volte settings under the actual settings menu of the phone to insure that it is turned on.

I have volte turned on with the icon showing but when I place a call the HD icon does not show within the dialer. How do I know if it is working?
If the other persons carrier supports the function, then a green icon that looks like a camera will show up allowing you to tap it to send a request to the other person. If they accept the request then the video call and HD calling will commence. Now as far as regular old HD calling, once Volte is enabled, every call is considered an HD call as long as you are on an lte tower. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
