My second issue is i got verticales lines today for the first time it looked like this : https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2017/07/1487418523-1487368082771123595.jpeg
(This issue is software or hardware? if it's only sofware i can keep the phone)
So i'm wondering if i should return the phone, i have 14 days right of withdrawal.
Thanks for your responses!

The second thing happened to me also . Open closing the screen makes the line slowly disappear but a full restart fixed it . Never happened since .

Return it. If you can, exchange it. Screen bleed and lines not a good way to start. Exchange for new now if you can because after the 14 day period, you are at the mercy of Lenovo/Moto and you will most likely get a refurbished phone.

Thanks for the answers,
I will try to ask for Exchange, but last time i ask they told me they can't exchange because they are out of stock of Moto X Style.
So i was wondering if i should return for refund, but i love this phone and i don't know if i can get better/same for 170-250€ (i got this phone for 170€)

Randomly Repeating Letters??

I've had my x1 for 10 months now, and love the functionality, but HATE the constant cracking all over the place. I now have a new problem... when i type using the HW keyboard letters randomly repeat. EG. when i type "hello my name is joel" it will look something like this "heeeello my name isss joelll", which is SH!T. any solution, or people experiencing this?
Funny, I thought it was just my fingers getting bigger, but I've seen to have a issue with this through the first 3 months having this phone. Currently on my fourth month and sending it in for cracks.
Mine does this too. Wierd.
Mine started doing it not long after I updated it to RSAA010, although with no internet the last week to check if others were having problems it was nearly in the bin!
no what u need is a new rom.
I had weird keyboard behavior before (random letters unrelated to what I was typing), then I uninstalled the XT9 keyboard and no problems since.
I had the same problem. Took it to the service center and got it repaired. And i had just the default R3 rom, and no XT9 keyboard. It was a hardware fault, i guess they cleaned the keyboard and gave it back.
So its definitely a hardware fault? I already sent back my X1 before due to cracks and failing slider. I got a new one. Now this . bharat4ever, how long did they keep yours?
Hello to all :
your problem is the same like all the others (look last 3,4 sites):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=489331
for the solution look here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=535664
I´ve got it about 3 times, now its gone after cleaning, ..... hope for the next 5 months
Same Problem for me. Have it for 10 months now and since 1 month always letters are repeating. its so bad

Lower part of screen stopped responding

After 4 months of flawless work, the lower part of the screen (a strip several millimeters from the edge) suddenly stopped responding properly!
E.g., all buttons in this area (including launcher/phone/+ on home screen) either don't work at all, or sometimes activate after a while when strongly pressed with the thumb (orientation doesn't matter).
Just two hours before they responded fine to the index finger.
Also, I've noticed that when I "multi-touch" the lower line in a file browser with two fingers, it works nice! Buttons are too small for that, however
I first tried to restore backup, but it didn't help, of course.
Has anybody had the same problem?? I guess it's a warranty case ...
I would agree, it's probably a hardware problem that you'll have to bring your phone in for service to get fixed.
I'm having that same problem my self, but just now and then. What helped with me is that I press the upper left corner of the phone with my other hand and then the lower part works fine, so i think i should get a new digitizer or its just loose connector.
im having the same problem , i have put up with it for the past few weeks and its driving me nuts now. today i did a factory reset which made no difference , i called htc who didnt sound a bit suprised by my phone call it gets picked up tomorrow morning to go for repair so the question is ... is this a common fault? and how the hell am i gonna cope without my hero in my pocket ?
Yeah happened to mine last week, a few have had the same issue where it's just the launcher bit not responding. Although the good news is that I'm getting it back tomorrow though so it's good times!
I had the same problem with my touchscreen (after a month or so!)
Mine got picked up thursday by HTC and I just checked the tracking site and they just recieved it.
I wonder how long it's going to take
Visited their service center last week.
They've immediately replaced my screen with a new one without any ado. Now everything works as before!
BUT a friend of mine who bought his Hero in January is having similar problems now...
It is a common problem according to HTC.
Mine was repaired in just 10 days.
Same problem here, did htc said anything about this problem? is it a common fault?
thank you
I said it in the post above yours.
ah yes, right, thank you

If they acknowledge it officially, couldn't you provide a link please?
i gave mine last week to repair, they returned to me unfixed. on the paper stated that they only updated the software, what a dumb this htc guys. need to go back and tell them again the same story. im wasting my time only for this. wtf
I recently had this problem. The 3 buttons at the bottom of the screen wouldn't respond, took it into T-Mobile who said I'd have it back within about 7 to 10 days... 3 weeks later I got a text saying I could collect my phone...
On the paper sheet it says they've replaced the lens.. Which I can see they have as before I had a miniscule hairline scratch near the top.
They also mention a software update (1.0.0.A6288)
Either way it works nicely now.
I've recently experienced the same issue - the lower part of the screen, the one where the LauncherPro icons usually are stopped responding to touch. If I press really hard it works sometimes, but it's pretty annoying. I didn't sit on the phone or drop it recently, it just stopped working all of a sudden.
Is there anything I can do, as the phone is out of warranty ?
HTC South Africa gave me a new hero after I took mine in for the 3rd time. Hardware problem. Very happy with their service.
i have this exact same problem, is the only solution to send to htc? >_> Cuz my warranty's out already unfortunately... i flashed my hero to CyanogenMod 7 and it seems to have helped, but still not completely responsive... I also have a problem where at times i completely lose control of my touch screen where the spots i touch seem to respond to opposite sides of the screen... anyone else?
Remove battery, Remove sim card. put a dryer on the htc logo for about 40 mins. put the phone under a heavy object. Let it dry for about 15 mins and your fixed.
^ wtf do u mean?... are u just being a gimp...

[Q] Middle horizontal line of the screen no touch

Hi guys,
Last days my Nexus 4 start to have a problem:
the imaginary middle horizontal line of my touch doesn't work fine.....it's just a line!
It makes difficult to scroll o to posh down the notification bar, to tap or click and so on!
I'm not sure it's physically damaged!
I've installed CM 10.2 20131026.
I saw someone else have this kind of problem, but everyone is a noob! (About like me)
Just for info, I've tried to use the developer setting to "view the taps".... it confirmed the problem!
Thanks in advance guys!
Matteo
Nexus 4 on the roll!!!!
restore to stock and check if its still there, generally you use the phone for a few days to check if its alright before you flash
No solutions guys, now I've two horizontal not working lines!!!!! Digitizer broken maybe.....
Nexus 4 on the roll!!!!
Seems to be the same problem that I got. I also opened a thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2660476
And I did a bit of research and it seems to be a known hardware issue. I will return it with warranty I guess.
Edit: Take a look at my screens I did in the thread. Or try it on your own with any screen tester app.
I just had this happen to me. I just get the nexus 4 from t-mobile last week. And know the touch screen is no working in the middle of the screen. I got a replacement coming. But I was play with its some time work normal if I had it plug in for 30min or more..
I just like to know how common is this issue. I hope it not that common. because I just paid 30 for the phone the first time and now I paid 20 for the replacement. They gave me the option to get a different phone. I hope its just a uncommon thing. they did made over 500,000 phone.
its just a bad digitizer.
(its specific to some areas due to lg´s zero gap techonology)

Vertical green line after update?

Lately, around 50% of the time my phone will have a vertical green line on the right half of the display (around 60% of the way across the phone). It will also come in spurts (e.g. will have the green line 90% of the time for a few hours, then disappear for a few hours). Turning the screen off/on sometimes fixes it.
Weirdly, it seems oddly coincidental that i had never seen this at all for the first 6 months of owning this phone, but after the most recent update (not the 6.0 update, the small one after), it has begun. Anyone else have the same experience?

You will want to get a warranty replacement on your phone. It's a hardware issue, not a software issue. It will continue to get worse and worse and multiple lines will begin to display over time. It may even get as bad or worse than this: http://i.imgur.com/0MHcos0.jpg (my phone pre-replacement)
All warranty-associated fees should be refunded when your original device is returned to Motorola because you have the green line issue.
Thanks! Wasn't the answer I was hoping for but good to know I'm not alone. Off to the Verizon store...

I`ve had the same problem. It`s a hardware issue. Send the device to Warranty replacement.
how about the green line issue now?
is there any date that maybe new phone produce after some point won't have this issue? (like bootloop in LG G4 - now if the phone produced after 2015 October is safer for example)
i'm thinking to buy a turbo 2 but i'm not in US so it's impossible to return to Moto for replacement.

Don't buy the Turbo 2 phone, there are 2 known issues and no information about what you ask. One problem is the green line commented on this post, the second one is the phone won't turbo charge and even no charge at all, even it seems it will charge normally. Both issues are hardware related and required return to carrier/motorola for warranty replacement.

Moto X Pure exactly half display not working

I've a Moto X Pure (XT1575) which is rooted and running 6.0.1. Not exactly stock as I flashed CYMD before, had problems and returned to near stock. Two days ago I flashed LineageOS and when I turned my phone on the screen was cut perfectly in half with the right half all static. I restored the phone to a backup I'd made before the flash and the screen was fixed, while in bootloader and that the screen was normal. Then yesterday I take the phone out of my pocket and the problem is back, this time when I'm in bootloader/recovery the problem persists. Did a restore again to no avail. The touch still works on the right half of the screen just cant see anything. I've seen a few threads like this and they all say it's hardware related, which it probably is, but why would it happen straight after flashing Lineage and without dropping it since? I also had a new screen installed a few months back by a third party, not Motorola.
I've attached a picture of what it looks like.
I just logged in to post in the other thread that my replacement screen only lasted a week and I saw this.
This is my third screen.
The first replacement was because I dropped my 4 hour old phone, the second was replaced because the left side of the screen went all staticy just like your picture, and now my third screen crapped out all staticy on the right hand side after only 3 days of use. At $50+ a pop for new screens I think its time for a new phone.
They are real easy to replace though if you choose to go that route.
My old Nokia Lumia 920 had this problem too, after I upgraded it to Windows 10, but the whole screen looks like what happened to your half screen. The problem could be caught by the Lineage OS, maybe it's the kernel's problem I think...
Yea this will be my second replacement screen. Replaced the first myself but don't have the proper heat gun/glue tape myself so may pay to get it done this time. Bringing the cost up to near $100 a screen. Time for a new screen is right, just waiting to see what comes out in the next few months
