[Q] [I9505] No sound when receiving text message

I'm getting no notification sound when receiving a text message. And I've checked every sound setting in setting and in the settings in the message app and at least 10-15 other "tricks" suggested in threads with similar problems.
And I've so far only found one solution; the master reset... But I've got a lot of settings I don't want to lose (and Titanium Backup does not do a good job of restoring them all).
Anyone?
Come on! Really? No one?

I'm back, and had success! Firstly mine changed when I tried go sms and did not like. After uninstall I was stuck with no sounds for a week. I solved mine by:
Added go sms back on phone including go sms emoj.
Went into apps, force closed go sms. Cleared data, then uninstaller. I repeated the same steps for go sms emoj as above.
After I did these steps my sms notification in stock sms program is back!!!
Hope this may be helpful?

[Q] Best way to restore sms/mms and call logs

I know I hear of Titanium Back up as being the best app to have on a rooted device but I don't know how to fully use it. I also don't know if it can restore every text message, sms AND MMS, which is kind of important to me.
I want to be able to switch roms and not have to worry about losing all my text messages. Is there a way to do this easily? I am willing to purchase an app if there is one that will fit these needs.
Also, if anyone can point me to where a guide is that will help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
Open tibu, hit menu, choose backup data to xml. I'm sure you can figure out the rest. This backs up sms, mms, and call logs.

Does this require paid version?
There's a simple app for this call SMS Backup & Restore, just take a backup before you wipe store it on your external card. Then re-install the app after and point it to the backup and it restores all your SMS messages.
Download this right off the Play store. I believe it's made by Ritesh Sahu.

I'm not sure on that one. I've had paid version for years now so it's just always been there. Download free version and give it a shot I guess..

Uh oh, what happened to all my SMS messages?

I'm a fiend for backing up SMS messages. I'm one of those guys who always thinks "you never know when you'll need it so back it up." A few weeks ago I had a soft-bricked Security Error on my G2. Luckily, this was in the same day after fully backing the phone up to OTG USB via Titanium. I decided to jump on the CloudyG2 train from CM12.1, mainly for xCam. I restored all my backups through Titanium. All of my SMS messages came back in my default app, Textra. However, those messages do not appear in other apps like the stock Messaging app or SMS Backup & Restore. Any SMS I've sent after flashing Cloudy show up fine in all apps, but Textra gets the backed up/restored SMS plus all the new ones. Any idea where they are? Are they permanently "locked" into Textra now because of using Titanium?

Anyone else getting errors when making a call from the contacts widget?

I keep getting this error message when trying to make a call from the contacts widget. I'm on tmobile, and have Wifi calling off. "cannot connect to the mobile network. To make calls, connect to WiFi."
Me too - LG G5
I get this too since upgrading my LG G5 to Android Nougat.

I found that if I have launched the contacts app at some point, then calls using the contact widgets work. Clearing the contacts app from the running apps list brings the issue back.
I have an LG G5 too and experience the exact same issue. Called LG support and they don't have a clue. The workaround that I've found is to just open the phone dial pad and then close it. It somehow resets whatever is going on and clears the issue.
Happens to me all the time. Very frustrating.

LG doesn't restore completely?

Hi. I always had Samsungs and my phones always backup to Google, when restoring use to restore all messages, call logs, wallpapers, shortcut cut exactly as it was on previous phone. I now moved to a g6 an extremely happy with it. But today I had to fully erase my g6 and I selected to restore from backup of Google from my g6 backup that I had yesterday. It restored all apps, contacts , but my messages and call logs aswell as way I had set up my icons were not recoved. Why didn't they? Is there a solution for this? I can see backup on mydrive but how do I recover call logs and messages, aswell has phone use to look like with icons an so on?
