System Profiles are gone in CM14.1 from quick menu and I want to make a Widget to run it directly but I can find anything about it, what do I call it with ?
I would like something like this but directly to System Profiles instead.
startActivityForResult(new Intent(Settings.ACTION_SETTINGS), 0);
I can't find anything about the app name to call ?.

Hey guys.. what format do i need to have my sounds in so i can choose my OWN alarm. I converted a few to wav but they don't show up in the list of reminderes or alarms. Can you help or do i need a 3rd party app? (i'd rather not go this route due to system resources).
2ndly... for some reason.. my messaging plugin has dissapeared (the one that lets you know if you have a txt msg or not). I can't see it in the list in today settings. Have no idea where it is or gone. what registry edits do i need to look for to restore it? I think it happend after i installed alarm today.

I'm looking for a program or whatever which is able to start an application based on a registry change. Something like: A specific registry entry is changed and the specified programm starts automatically.
I know MortScript can do domething like that, but with my script the usage of CPU is at 100% the whole time. This also drains my battery....
So is there any other app out there (preferable freeware) which can do what I want?
Any help appreciated.

I have a PPC profile changer (freeware, www.modaco.com) and this program changes profiles automatically based on rules (something like phonealarm).
Additionally I want to have different ringtones for different profiles. That is possible but for the ringtones defined in the contacts the ringtone is fixed and therefore always the same.
So what I'm looking for: When the profile program changes the registry value of the actual profile I want to run a mort-script to copy all my profile ringtones to the actual windows folder. That is also to help the vibration to be longer if a VIP-ringtone assigned person calles (about 2 sec.) and shorter if somebody else calls (0.5 sec).
Thats why I want to start an application on change of profiles (means change of registry-entry).
I also want to keep my profile programm because I need the profile information to be stored in the registry to be displayed in Battery Status.
I hope this claryfies the why-questions.

Love my HD2, but am wondering if anyone knows of a shortcut to get to call forwarding or an app to turn on and off call forwarding, without having to go through all the screens and toggle?

If you use Launcher Pro as your launcher then you can open that page with an activity shortcut.
Long-hold the home page to add a shortcut and go:
Shortcuts, Activities, Dialer, Call forwarding
It still takes a few seconds to populate that page, but it has to get the information from your provider every time you start it, so there's nothing you can do about that. It is, however, a shortcut to that page.
If you don't use Launcher Pro then I don't believe you have the ability to add activity shortcuts.
I know its been a while since this was requested. I have just changed my car and the new one has an old factory fitted Motorola startac fitted as a factory option. Rather than mess and fit a new hands free kit I was wanting to forward my HD2 to the Startac.
I have just found the way to do what you require. Firstly use your file explorer (i used resco) to unhide hidden files. Then look in the windows folder on your device and look for CMcallforward. You should then be able to send this to your start menu. Im using Cookies Home tab so I was then able to add this as a quick link.

I installed Cyanogen Mod 7.0.3 from stock rom. On the stock rom I was able to create a desktop shortcut to any contact, which would take me directly to the contact screen. In Cyanogen I try to create the same shortcut, but I can only get a "quick contact" version, meaning it acts like a widget by giving me options of call/contact/text/map. All I want is the old shortcut that takes me directly to the full screen contact when I click on the shortcut. Does anyone know if this is possible to do?
I looked at the source of ADW, and it seems like shortcut items are entries in ADW's database, so modifying files like you would on Windows seems out of the question.
Ok, i found only one app that can get the job done easily, after trying a few other popular shortcut apps. It's called xShortcut, and there were some bugs with it and cyanogen mod, but the developer was able to fix them after my feedback. As of this posting the market still has the old buggy version but I expect him to update the market soon.

Did u ever use a WP8 Devices? It seems u didnt to me
- more themes and customization for tiles
- ability to intercept sms by apps so we can have more than one sms app.
- folders
- ability for app to use all ringtones available
- ability to save live tile layout for different occasion
- Gapless playback
- Sleep timer built-in
Im not sure if this thread would end up in something usefull. U should better try to find some solutions for ur problems and post them here. U could also try to find as much as possible things u miss or dont like on wp8 but that wont change anything.
Maybe its much better to post all this on the microsoft suggestion forum. i dont have the link but u should find it with google
