Dear Brother,
Yesterday I have tried to install the latest Greenify in my LG V20 H990N. I found that the battery drain speed is very fast. Before I install the Greenify, the battery can sustain for 1 day but now it has reduced to not more than half day.
Would you please advise whether LG V20 has built-in software that similar to Greenify or suggest some software which has similar function to Greenify to make the software inactivate.
I've got problem with Greenify.
Automatic hibernation doesn't work well with second screen, it disable the main feature of the screen: to see notification while main screen turned off.
Also fingerprint unlock sometimes failed.
do we still need in N? I thought doze was a similar feature

Hi,
Is anyone having sensor battery drain issue with WhatsApp?
This during my sleep where the sensor is on 100%.
Not sure how to turn it off.
I excluded WhatsApp in the whitelist for battery monitor.
Wondering if anyone have similar issue.
Yes. I posted this to another thread and got no responses. I wound up uninstalling. There is no reason for this. Their support was useless
Kill the whatsup? Do you really need to get updates while sleeping? Are there any settings, how often program updates? Any program that misbehaves like this gets deleted from my phone: either it's broken/not working properly or it's the way it works, not sure which is worse.
I have this drain, too. BBS says Sensor: invensense Accelerometer(1), wakeup=false, Time: xxh xxm. In another thread someone suggests that this drain is related to the usage of whatsapp web. I use wa web a lot, but the drain continues even if I don't use it and even when I kill and restart whatsapp. Why does wa need the Acceleromter?
edit:
With the latest WA version (2.17.190) the high battery drain doesn't occur anymore. It seems the problem is solved.

Isn't the case for me. I have OnePlus 3T, with the WA version you mentioned above, and I still have this issue.
Bump. Anyone get anything useful from their support?
No help from Whatsapp support. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same issue. Reset the phone, the issue still persists. I need Whatsapp for my daily work so can't afford to remove it. I hope GSAM/BBS are reporting it correctly. Will have to wait for another update and keeping fingers crossed they solve this bug.
Anything off this? The problem still persist, the app uses the acelerometer like crazy in my moto x style.
I stop caring and just use the phone as it is.
Still getting 6 hrs of sot.
Some apps are using the sensor and I bet if we disable them the battery life will improve.
I dont see the drain anymore. Did you update Whatsapp?
I'm getting the drain atm... phone was at 88% last night.. got up this am and it was 55% and WhatsApp was using 23% above everything else..
I have the same issue...is there anyway to deny permission to whatsapp for sensor usage?
Anyone managed to solve this one? It's really annoying. Thinking about it, the only (reasonable) reason for Whatsapp to use acceletometer would be the camera, right? Since I never use Whatsapp's camera I just disabled the camera service for whatsapp and blocked Whatsapp from using phone's camera in the Privacy Guard settings, will see if that changes anything - so far this seems to be working.
I have the same problem

Put whatsapp to sleep, go to Apps->Special access--> Optimize Battery usage and enable Whatsapp here. Then go to device maintenance, remove it from 'unmonitored apps' if present and add to 'always sleeping' apps. Try this for a day and check BBS for wakelocks. Also you might want to check partial wakelocks when 'screen off' and not 'since charged'. You may miss messages for a day or two but its worth the effort

Then why dont you post on that forum? You may not get answers here.
What did you use to make it all black?
The same problem.
It's look like WA collect my activity data.
Any way to (may be utility) to deny WA use acceleration sensor?
Hi guys,
My phone is having sleeping problems. He's just not relaxed and is constantly bothered by something and this tension keeps waking him up many times, even though he is supposed to rest! I've tried my best to give him the right conditions - no Wi-Fi, no BT, full Airplain Mode, yet it is simply not enough.
I attach some images to make it clear.
[edit: why is Google Play Services doing all that? Could they just stop messing up with my hardware - GPS, CPU and so on?]
YD-206 with software for 201
root
TWRP
Xposed - Greenify
NovaLauncher
Nothing special
Is there any hope?
Thanks
Absolutely the same problems on my YD-201 6.0.1 with the same configurations (TWRP, Xposed, Greenify, NovaLauncher + Stock Battery Optimization). Besides, my wifi cannot be disabled, it is always active whatever i try. It is always on search mode even it is disabled. Hey, how do you get the dark theme for stock settings menu? And is your Battery Optimization Settings active?
Android Version?
What's the android version do you have? Lollipop or Marahmallow, i have YD206 with YD201 software, it has some issues with lolli and others with Marsh.
Do you have the hybrid Radio? The european or the chinese? If you dont even know then i suggest you to install the hybrid radio, it solves problems with the battery drain and the warm issues (yota hell xD).
I dont use greenify, i just use the freezing mode from titanium backup.

An update: THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER [after installing Better Wifi on/off (read below)]
1. I'm using Greenify and have hibernated many applications - this might be one of the solutions to the Wi-Fi usage. (See attached zip file for which apps are hibernated)
2. I installed an app called Better Wifi on/off version 2.1.0.0 from Google Play Store and have set the rules how to turn on/off (See also attached zip file for the exact set-up).
3. The Wifi sometimes appear to be ON on Battery Usage Graphic, but actual battery consumption is not noticed. The the normal consumption for 'Phone idle' is about 3-4% per day (around 120 mA). This would suggest that the phone will be able to last around 20 days if totally idle.
4. BLUETOOTH BUG - somewhere in this forum I read that after connecting the phone via Bluetooth to some external gadget (in my case UE Roll 2 music box), even after disconnecting, the Bluetooth causes Wakelock and this dramatically drains the battery!!! (See screenshot) The solution is Restart of the phone. On the Battery graphic you can clearly see the drain from Awake and after that I did a Restart and let the phone stay idle - the usage dropped immediately!
5. I'm using stock Battery Optimization
6. [OFF-TOPIC] To make background color for menus dark I use projekt.substratum_490_minAPI23.com.apk (attached to the post) and after installing it, I downloaded the theme InversionUI from Google Play Store. (I can't stand white/bright colors on my screen, especially at night, and knowing what it does to my battery since I'm on AMOLED display).

All your questions are answered by the Screenshots in my first post - have a look.
Hi everyone,
When i view the battery usage, i see that Google services isbthe first process drain my battery. Do you have idea why ? And how to fix it.
I have N910C with stock rom.
Thanks.
I have the exact same problem.
This might be a bad update from google .
I installed naptime and wait to see if it gets better .
I didn't make a change in the phone, but it's a strange.
Why don't you block it and do not allow it to work in the background anymore? In this way, you can control when and how much Services will work.
Hi, thanks for your answer.
How can i block them ? With greenify, it is already.
I tried them all: greenify, amplify power nap, force doze etc .
For me the best battery life I get is when I just let my phone do what it wants.
It does show a big number of wake locks but they don't appear to impact battery life as much as you would think .
If you really want to get rid of most battery drain in standby you can just disable WiFi and mobile data but I wouldn't do this as you won't get any more messages from what's up or Facebook .
Otherwise just leave it alone . Android knows what it's doing .
Is there any life w/o google?
Yes. it is.
I have rooted my 910C, installed Nemesis Refined (gorgeous ROM with a lot of wonderful elements, including a great battery saver kernel - SpaceLemon), then I ditched every google service and if need I login from browser and that's it.
And so there is F-Droid, Aptoide, APKPure, and others.
Never ever had any security problem, my apps run smooth w/o hiccups, and my phone has a new, reborn, life!
Of course, there is Xposed with Greenify, Amplify, and others alike.
Guys, try it, you don't know what you loose if you keep your phone steered by google.
Good luck!
If you need more info, here I am.
Have a nice week-end all!
The problem is gone when disabling 4G and using Wifi with 2G only.
Coming from a Note 9 on android Oreo I've notice none of my apps stays open in the task manager on my S10+. I will find all the apps I had open in the background gone after a few hours, even if I locked them in place from clearing all. This is super annoying! I don't know if its a Android Pie issue, new Samsung issue or just my phone alone.
I am currently set to high performance mode, adaptive battery is toggle off, sleeping apps is off, and auto optimization is also toggle off.
No issues here, multitasking works as it should.
Yes, this is an issue and it is an Android Pie issue. Even if you have sufficient memory, apps that are unused for a few hours will shut down completely. I see this on my Essential PH-1 as well, and have seen it on other devices too. It's extremely annoying and there is no way to turn off this behaviour. Shutting off all app optimizations and excluding from optimizations, sleep, etc. does not bypass it.
So I broke my old Note 4 that I used at work. I'm now dusting off my daughter's old S7 Edge to use that, upgraded to latest firmware, used CCSW to disable all what I consider crapware, and now I have a question. Since this is running Oreo the battery and data optimization is not as complex as what we have recently (my "weekend" phone is a Note 10 running Android 11), so should I still use Greenify to control my running apps or is the battery optimization in Oreo is good enough without the need for an "extra" app running in the background to control that. I appreciate everyone's opinion!
Lol, that app and a 3rd party launcher were the prime suspects in 2 back to back boot loops on my N10+ Never again.
Not sure about Oreo but power management always causes issues in Pie including poor battery life.
I simply close app when done with them and Android does fine.
Any apps that don't behave under those terms I deal with on a case by case basis. Some are uninstalled or temporarily/permanently disabled.
Google Framework, Play Services and Playstore are habitual offenders.
Play with it and see what's using the battery, go from there. Maybe it will behave better than you expect.

Thx for the reply. Yes, besides CCSW to disable apps that either I consider crapware or apps that I use rarely, I don't use Greenify or other "battery saving" apps on my Note10. I feel that Pie and above has way better management options for apps that previous Android releases. If I close all my apps on "recents" and reboot my phone and let it sit there overnight I get only a 2-3% drop in my battery. That tells that battery is well managed.
Now for this old S7 on Oreo well I dont have many options in the apps settings besides the battery optimization switch. That's why I'm debating if I should use Greenify or not to have better control of apps that I really dont want running on the background but still want to receive notifications when they arrive.

I reboot my 10+ every few days or if it acts up... no reboot in 3-5 days can do that
At night I simply close all open apps although I do that throughout the day as well. I use Device Care to do clean ups every 2-3 days. Other than clearing the system cache that's about as much system maintenance as I do.
I also police the download folder daily and once a month scan with Malwarebytes. A very low maintenance, clean running system.
Greenify worried me as it wasn't seamless or fast and running at boot up means it had the capability to boot loop the device. If I never see another boot loop it won't be missed...
Maybe on an older OS you would see tangible power savings but it didn't do much for me on Pie.
In the end, tracking the power hogs down and dealing with them on a case by case basis did.
I run with Google play Services disabled 98% of the time now. It nets me about 2%@hr better battery life.

On my N10+ ruunong on Pie, all Device Care power management toggles are turn off except for fast charging.
The power mode is always set to "Optimize".
