Droid Turbo 2 available languages - Droid Turbo 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Planning to buy Droid turbo 2 for my father I just wanted to make sure that Arabic language is on there. By the way if someone can check the available languages it might be written in Arabic letters as below.
العربية
I need the confirmation before processing my order.

I don't see Arabic in language settings. Sorry.

Sorry for my ignorance, the one on the top is Arabic?

MZ606 (Chinese wifi version) seems the same hardware and MZ604, MZ606 MZ604's stock rom flashing is working.
If you just need the locale to be in Chinese, you can try More Locale 2 from the market. I can change the locale language on the Xoom with this app.
But if the Chinese Xoom has it's own 3rd party apps... yeah you need the rom.
Hmmm, not sure what we be the best route to take. I bought this wifi Xoom for my sister when it first was released. But my sister is in Taiwan and would prefer to be able to navigate through the system if it were in Chinese. Since I'm here visiting I figured I could perhaps load it for her before I go back home.
What would you guys recommend? Loading the Chinese install? Or using that More Locale app?
Thanks for all the assistance.
Just tried MoreLocale. Works nice but I realized I'd still need Chinese input without having to using the voice method.

Thanks for this link. I think this may just be what I need short of getting the Chinese install.

Language Support

Hi,
I need support for Hebrew which I found out that Android 2.3.3 doesn't have.
What ways can I get Hebrew support? (which means right alignment rather than left like in English).
Not having Hebrew support makes all my email unreadable since it turns around the order of the letters.
I'd appreciate your help
Look for madmack threads about RTL languages (Arabic & Hebrew)

Haha! And Toda (thank you).
Just one thing though, I don't really know anything about ROMS and ROOTing.
Can I restore my device after ROOTing it so I "unvoid" the warranty?
For the iPhone for instance, restoring the phone doesn't leave a trace of the jailbreak. Is it the same for android and rooting?

US Keyboard Layout from UK Keyboard

Has anyone tried a UK motorola keyboard for the Xoom?
I know I have flashed the US image, but a quick google seemed to end up on a Moto support page which seemed to suggest this is a problem with UK Xoom images too - and it is fixed in the UK 3.1 update!
No wonder its taken me a few weeks to find a shop which actually stocked a UK layout Xoom keyboard!
I tried more locales 2 from the market to try and set the layout correct and when looking in languages from settings it says I am using English (United Kingdom) which is a bonus but still was hoping to get the keyboard fixed...
Anyone else run into this problem at all?
Thanks

as its a problem with UK image 3.0.1 - and it isn't fixed in the US 3.1 - it must be fixed in the Euro only 3.1 update.
Hoping that it is fixed in 3.2 for US as I don't really want to flash back and let motorola take care of my updates...
same/similar issue reported here too for german users: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13919117#post13919117

My life with Moto X in Germany

Hi to all. I just wanna share my experiences with my Moto X here in Germany and I want to answer a few questions I had before to help persons like me which wants a moto x outside of the USA.
I've got my X (XT1053 developer edition GSM) via eBay straight from the US. I have to pay import taxes around 120€.
The first thing I've noticed was that the X only comes with 4 system languages (even on KitKat), no one of them were German. So I've tried around a bit to get German language but I doesn't succeeded.
Them I've unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP and rooted my phone with that.
The next step was that I've flashed eclipse ROM (which originally based on the VZW version of KitKat). That gives me all base android system languages. Even touchless control works now on German.
That I've flashed a VZW ROM doesn't break anything, I'm able to use the phone with my GSM SIM (Vodafone, nano SIM) without problems (except that LTE isn't supported because of the frequencies, but that is no problem for me since I doesn't have a LTE contact).
So far, I have a fully working Moto X here in Germany and I have to say that this is the best phone over ever had (I came from a RAZR i).
The last thing I have to say is, sorry for my English if it is not so good, but I hope it's understandable.

glad you're enjoying it! Best phone of the year.

I'm using mines in The Bahamas. Think I'm like the only or one of the only people to have one over here. This phone is just great, couldn't ask or anything better.

I live in Denmark, and bought the 1058 from Canada/Rogers - it uses the same GSM/LTEbands as we do here.
Unlocked bootloader, flashed several ROM's....everything is working perfectly.....really like it.
Coming from lots of Razr's og lately Oppo Find 5.

Nah, you're not the only one but not too many people have it either, just like the Nexus 5.

Does google now just google what you are saying or can it recognize things to do?
Like, remember me to pick up brian today, who is Tom Cruise (and google now speaks, not only googles it), Navigate to achtungstrasse 32 etc?
I live in Sweden and I don't care about having the system language in english, hell, every phone I'v had the last 10 years was set that way.
The problem is saying swedish street names, swedish names, swedish stores etc.
I tried to set the language to swedish in the google now options menu and sure, it recognize swedish but it only googles it. None of the commands are working so I went back to english.

Many, but not all commands work in German. Most of the important things like navigate, reminders, alarms and many questions work. What doesn't work are conversions (units and currency), translations, "what's this song?" and a few knowledge questions among other things.
All this has nothing to do with the device though, it's solely a matter of Google Now.

That's right. Important commands are working with speechoutput. Commands like conversion works, but without a spoken answer.

From which US reseller did you buy please? Did you also try/research to buy the Moto X Dev directly from Motorola US?
Why is everybody writing that the Moto X is the best phone? I am just curious, because I like it too and can't wait to see it in reality this Saturday in Germany. But performance / Benchmarks show that it is slower than the S4 Mini which I use at the the Moment, and nothing compared to the LG G2?!

Yeah benchmarks, getting this phone makes you realize that those don't compare to real world usage. Which is why the Moto X is blowing any and everyone away.
Moto X is Android smartphone done right. Not saying it beats every other flagship but it does more than what was suppose to be expected while holding it's ground.
It truly is a phone you would want to have and what to use. Also the customization option is great.

I've bought it over eBay. It's a original moto x (designed and assembled in the USA). I've heard that the x's from outside the US are build in Asia, so..

English translation quality on Chinese A2017 Axon 7

I'm considering buying the Chinese A2017 Axon 7. I want to know how well it is translated to English?
Are there a lot of Chinese apps/menus etc?
Other question, can I install the US firmware and add the nav-bar later using xposed and such?
Thanks all
Following this thread.

Not Advisable!!!
You gotta remember that it's running Android just like everyone else. It's just been tweaked a bit. So basically most of the translations has been done at Google before ZTE has even touched the codebase. Only the things that they've added on top will need the extra translation, and they're there. Nothing I've noticed that has missing or wrong English translation except first time sdcard insertion notification message. There are of course the Chinese only apps, but that's to be expected and none of them are really useful or required.
Sent from my ZTE A2017 using Tapatalk
You will want ZTE market if you don't have google apps installed but you can pretty much muddle your way through that by looking for familiar icons. It will also send you tothe right place if you search for "Google Installer".
Just remember to set the google play store, gmail and google play services to autorun through Mi-Assisstant after installing through ZTE Market...
Thank you all for your replies
I have the A2017G and am using it in Dutch. I must say that some translations on the device are just wayyy off. I verified against some of the English translations on the same place, and they are ok-ish. But for example, when you open the list of running apps, in English the bottom line says 'Clear all' to close all running apps, but in Dutch (translated to English) it says: "Erase all settings for the website?", which makes no sense at all in this context...
