Please help me with this question, will the waterproofing be lost after the back glass replacement ?
You have to ask the repair guys you had it done, but I wouldn't discount it.

Dear all,
Thank you for all the stuff you are sharing right here, that's really great.
I 'm quite sad because a few days ago, my tab felt the glass is badly broken .
Hopefully, the LCD and the touch screen are ok.
Gorilla glass is not that unbeatable so take care of your tabs guys.
I'm searching for a replacement part but as we are kind of early adopters, it's really hard to find ( I tried Alibaba & eBay).
If anyone know where I can find a new replacement front glass for my galaxy tab I would really appreciate to have a link.
Thanks in advance
You have a one year warranty. Call samsung.

Samsung can't do anything if it is physical damage. It's in the manual. That's what insurance is for. Or, if you purchase with Amex, they will refund you after proper paper work.

Hey guys,
I recently got the S4 from tmobile, about 3 and a half weeks ago, and today I dropped it from about 3.5 feet and the almoled screen inside cracked. I am really pissed off and really freaking out because it really is an expensive phone and I am unsure of what to do. It's not the gorilla glass, the the almoled inside. Is there anyway to replace that myself, or send it to samsung for repair?

You maybe better off getting a new phone. At those heights, who knows what else broke.

You should send it in for repair at a Samsung service centre. The phone is new on the market. Genuine parts may be hard to come by for you to do it yourself.
By the way... was the body damaged ? Was it in a case ?

Wasn't in the case, just the inside amoled is cracked
So I had a unfortunate mishap with my gorgeous galaxy s7 edge when I over indulged in st.pattys festivities. The screen is cracked in several places and I managed to be decent damage to the aluminum body as well. I've put in a request for a insurance replacement with asurion, however the device is backordered for them. I'm wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation and has more insight on how long I'll be waiting for the replacement. Thanks!
Ouch, lol one of the reasons I don't go out *to drink* and If I do phone is staying in my pocket. You have to remember it's not no 200 phone you have in your HAND

Hi all,
Having a few issues with my main board in my S7 edge and I'm going to get it serviced by Samsung as I've been told they will likely replace the board.
Doespecially anyone know if they replace the board do you always get a new IMEI number as I'll have to inform my insurance company?
Also, I have cracked the rear glass but obviously that will need to be replaced but will I be charged for that as I would have just left it !

1. Yes you will have a new IMEI as every board has its own number.
2. You will be charged for any cracked screens or back panels but under warranty you will pay less for it.
Ahhhhh thanks you. Do you know if IMEI numbers are automatically updated in any sort of database regarding network , insurance etc?

Hi, S7 edge screen cracked with an accidental jab into a concrete ceiling.
Can I replace the screen myself? Please suggest where to get the kit.
Or is it too risky and should I just take it to a shop for professional replacement?
How much should I expect to spend either way?
Post links and suggestions please.
Thank you.

I would recommend you get Samsung to do it - go to nearest Samsung repair centre. You will have peace of mind with regards to quality and water resistance. In Australia, Samsung quotes a replacement screen ~$200 AUD . Convert to your currency, and you got an estimate.
