Don't double post, against forum rules (#5).
As you were told in your other post, it looks like your media scanner is the culprit.

my battery drains from 90% to 57% in 5 hours on standb!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP

Hellp. Usually it drains 2-3% over night and now it drains to 2% over night after a full charge, what could be the problem i install lots of apps all the time the only big thing i changed recently was that i (on android revolutions hd 6.3.3) flashed ultra smooth rosie and this thing to add extra quick settings... Could that be a problem.. also, in the batery usage place it says that my cell standby is using 15% is that normal... I have juice defender ultimate so dont suggest installing that please.. also o have set cpu but i have been using that even before i started getting drain. All help is greately apreciated!!!!
Remove juice defender and check betterbatterystats to see what is causing partial wakelock.
Try doing a full charge to 0 mA in currentwidget and then drain until you can't get into hboot, and charge again.
Here's a thread with instructions to find out what is actually draining your battery :

Remember that the battery stats in the guide is gone after 2.2, so download BetterBatteryStats and the application here to get the most information possible: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12815868#post12815868

Galaxy s5 battery drain 50% in 3.5 hrs + overheating

Hi,
I bought my galaxy s5 exynos version. It is overheating a lot. Its body gets pretty hot and temp sensors show that the battery temp is 38 degrees and body temp is 33 degrees. The battery life also is really poor.. it went to 47% in just 3.5 hrs of usage even with power savings. Is it a problem with phone's battery? I have attached a screenshot of battery stats.
Are the other users using smg900h facing this problem of heating and battery drain? is there any workaround? Please help me.

Not at all... There's something wrong with yours. I usually get 6+ hrs screen on time on mine.
Battery lasts a day.
Any app you recently installed? Or maybe your SD Card has some corrupted files and the Media Scanner gets stuck?

No the media server isnt popping up. Now as I am writing this , the battery drain slowed down and now it is on 23%. This is my first discharge of phone though.. Also what about overheating? Mine remains warm while browsing and becomes hot after using a bit of camera. I dont know why but my ears feel the heat during a voice call.
Try the fixes in my thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2745909

Hi! sorry about my English.
I'm having the same problem with my exynos galaxy s5. It sometimes gets really hot and the battery drains really fast, even with low usage (emails and whatapp). It's definitely a software problem, because it disappears on reboot. But after a while it returns.
After a reboot i can get sometimes 4.5h to 5h or more of screen on time with no overheating, full day, but than something triggers and i have 2.5 screen or 3h max on with a hot device on wifi, and terrible standby time.
I can't pinpoint the problem. It's not a wakelock problem. I Checked wakelock detector (PC version, since my device is unrooted), and it shows only 8% wake on a full day (yesterday).
The battery on setting shows normal usage: the screen is always on top, followed by android os.
I really don't know what to do, besides keeping rebooting the device every day. No luck turning locations services off.
As I mentioned, that is not normal at all, this is my battery life:

Do you have the Exynos or the Snapdragon version?
i'm having similar issues with mine, but i managed to get better battery life by turning off location reporting, samsung account, chatON, my magazine, polaris and changing the location to GPS only, it's not drastically different but as of right now im at 61% with 13h off the charger and 30m on screen time.

Yes, an old class 10 16GB card. I have it since I got the S3... I stopped using it while I had the Nexus 4 and 5.

Dont have this issue at all, i charge it when the battery is below 20%
use greenify and blaze kernel for SM-G900F with the power suspend 1% drop in 5 hours
Try to reboot every time of overheating. This should resolve the problem.

man! Really ?? I can only get around 3 hours and 40 minutes at best.
which variant you're using bro ? I am using SM-G900H and trying to buy another spare battery.
Do you perhaps have 1+ Exchange accounts filled with data (email, calendar, contacts, memos, ..). I had this issue on my Nexus 4. As I wiped and flashed the device often, I noticed that the issue was not appearing when I forgot to add one of my Exchange accounts. What fixed it was deleting most unwanted data from my Exchange accounts (old e-mails, all sent e-mails, ecc.). Just guessing.

You should mention how it was before the Flash... Is this just cm13 related or did the phone is more power consuming in general .. Or Is some app lagging the phone, wakelock issue or something. Is the Rom running smooth? Take a System Monitor and watch the apps for which one is lagging. Check the Cpu Load and Core Clocks, if its high value, or maybe its some bug that only cm13 insiders know...
Be aware that cm has horrible battery drain on the s4, but this isn't ROM related. Use better battery stats, that'll help you learn what's causing the drain

Battery drain after root / Deep sleep

Hi folks,
Did you notice any difference after rooting your device about battery drain ?
Mine can use 5%/hour some times more even with greenify...
I see this problem after rooting my device 2 weeks ago. I have the original ROM with some tweaks. (950FD)
Is it a deep sleep issue ? Something else that I miss ?
Thanks in advance.

You can use gsam battery monitor app to check these stats. CPU frequency 0 shows if your phone is going to deep sleep or not.

By the way, could you tell me how long do you last with your S8 ? Normal usage with data enabled all the day ?

Depends on my useage. It's on average about 4-5 hours SOT and around 15 hours on battery. With heavy usage it's around 3 1/2 hours SOT.

CPU & Battery general question & need your feedback

Hi guys !
So, after few mounth with LineageOS i remark that my Axon 7 mini is maybe bugy ...
I install a CPU monitor and I remark that only 4/8 cpu is working.
I don't know if it's normal or not so I need to have your feedback for to be sure that my Axon is buggy or not :crying: .
Secondly is my battery life, I guess that is the same of all of Axon 7 users ... but to be sure, I explain my issue.
So fresh install, no application running in background, Battery Saver ON, battery at 100% at 00h
8h after in IDLE my battery level is 20% ...
So I need yo have your feedbacks ...
Thx !
