Hi I keep hearing people complaining about their battery draining, but I found turning off and on some features does infact stop the battery from draining too much, but this only works with the latest 4.4.2 update because I noticed that Power saving mode was not working on 4.3. You should set your setting like this:
The final step is to set you screen brightness to 25% (Brightness level by Curvefish) and turn off your wifi.

Finally got my Axon 7?
I was wandering if someone knows how to delete a quick setting tile? And if it's possible to only show one network in the status bar. I think 4G/4G/3G takes a lot of space away [emoji22]
Any suggestions would be great.

I don't think you can delete them, but you can rearrange them.
Only the first 5 are shown in the statusbar (pulling down just once), so you can keep the ones you don't care about at the bottom and they'll only be visible with the double pull.
I personally set it up as: WiFi, BT, Soundmode, Airplane, Lockscreen
I noticed but still curious why we can't delete them. Perhaps the next Ota. Also battery drain is pretty fast. Hope that will settle during the first week

Battery life has actually been very good for me, a significant improvement over my N5X

Sitting here at work, with light use, I started at 100% at 7:45am... I didn't pull it out of my desk and start using it until 10:30, and it was still at 100%.
It's currently 5 hours since taking it off the charger and I'm sitting at 94%. I have absolutely no complaints about the battery.
You might install something like GSAM battery or BBS (better battery stats) and see if you can locate the source?
Are the Quick Settings still not able to be removed?
I have 2 questions.
Does it enhance our location accuracy?
Does it use more battery than its worth?
TIA
Al
Have it turned on...doesn't seem to increase battery use certainly. Screen off the v20 sips battery.

I always use it so I couldn't tell you what the difference is. I guess I always assumed that it was a good thing ?

I turned it on because it sounded clear. Don't know if I'm better or worse off for it.

For those of you wondering, there's no way to tell how much battery you have left on your bluetooth headphones with the Galaxy s8. There are a few apps in the app store that "try" to display this information but they're either unreliable or inaccurate. C'mon Samsung!!
Hmmm, ive thought about this also. My ipad mini displays battery life of my jbl speaker i have. Wish my phone did too. Havent tried the BT headphones yet though.
Are you sure it is down to just the phone? I have a battery meter show up on connection to one Bluetooth Speaker (Anker Classic) but nothing on a different one (JAM heavy Metal).
I've never had it on my Samsungs. It is sad

Isn't this more of an Android issue? I remember this being discussed on Reddit before. There's no API (or something) that makes it easy to port the battery information from devices without a dedicated app. Granted, Sammy does introduce a lot of its own software but my suspicion is that if they did do this, they'd limit it to their own devices and brands they own.
This is one area where iOS is superior.

I get a your battery level low from my Bluetooth headphones and I'm good to go...but I do understand makes no sense why this hasn't been implemented....but easy to forget
It does show battery percentage... through Samsung Connect.

Incorrect. Samsung bt devices do because they have a custom api. Only since nougat does Android itself have a std battery api.
It's not adopted because Google slept while Apple standardized. Haye the fruit but it's Wgat they do well.
It will be years before we see many devices with the API inbuilt.

If you use as I use Samsung Level U headphones you CAN see battery status. Samsung even has app for Level U headphones.
Can't say I have ever had a use for something like this. Most bluetooth headphones i've had lasted an age and I charged them at set intervals. No battery level status required.
The iphone generation has a lot to answer for. Apple has convinced everyone they need things like apps to tell them how to live, readouts to tell them how much battery their peripherals have, apps to teach you how to sleep now it seems too.
Thank you biffwitch. Can't believe this is even a legitimate issue.
Just give your BT peripherals a quick charge at regular intervals and use your best judgement to guesstimate the total charge if you have to. Why in the world do you need absolute pinpoint accuracy battery level info for a set of BT headphones? Most BT headphones have a battery level indicator on them as it is.
Good god... At the very least don't act as if this 'feature' is a MUST HAVE for a flagship phone. If anyone cared, it likely would have been implemented.

Jaybird X2.
I have powerbeats 2 and it doesnt show
Lol....battery level low is what I hear on any of my Bluetooth headphones and that is enough....
Yup, I'm missing that too. My friends' Huawei Mate 8 supports showing the battery of bluetooth devices. On the S7 the bluetooth battery status didn't even work with a custom ROM...
I have the AKG BT and cant see battery life. Tried them on my ipad mini and shkwed i have 90% left. Lol.
They sound really good. Can easily tune out my kids. Lol, so cant use till im alone or at work.?
In short, I just got my first BT headphones. Pairing them seems to be a pain in the ass. How much battery life does just leaving idle BT use for you guys?
I've read that it's not supposed to use much... Although my battery has definitely been draining faster than I would have expected on idle so far.
Am using trupjre 2.9

What's the issue with paring? I'm also using bt headphones and I just turn on buletooth, turn on my headphones and they are ready to go.
