I just knocked down my Note 4 battery and there is a little crack on the top as in pic. Is that safe to use at all?

My S4 - 9505 in last 2 week gets very hot on charing... battery temps about >50°C..
I noticed that front glass get little out of bazel and realized that battery swell on center little bit.. and thats the reason why front display panel is not properly on its position.. it is little bit out from bezel on center bottom..
anyone have suggestions or experiance about this problem?
Wait so your battery is more fat?

Replace battery. They normally swell up like that at the end of their life, but given you've only had a it a few mths maximum, I'd be asking Samsung for a replacement (if you're using a genuine Samsung batter).
today I desided to buy a Note 4 again..
when i would insert the battery i noticed that the BLACK area where the battery goes, there was som left over adhesive, not much but it was there..
I decided to return it and got a new one.. then again when putting in the battery now on the black edge on the left side in the battery area there was a small amount of adhesive...
I never experienced this on a samsung product before...
have any of you seen this before.. ??
the Note 4 works fine as i can tell..
On my note under battery there is a samsung sticker with emei, model number etc and another color changing water sensitive indicator.

Hey hey..
So i have a note 4 and a oneplus one and i switch between them regularly.
i wanted to use my note 4 cause i was going on a weekend trip and i wanted to take pictures with my phone.
i open up the camera and there are some black lines (almost looked like it's cracked)...it wasn't there when i last used it..
I treat my phones with the up most care and it was sitting in my wooden box that i designed on my night stand to hold my devices.
I didn't drop it or i didn't get it wet, i don't bring it into the washroom when i shower etc etc etc...
I want to send it in for warranty but can they say its physical damage and not replace it? i'll be so pissed cause the camera lens itself doesn't seem like it's cracked .. it looks mint!
the smaller lens on the module looks okay too...i did a full restore as well..
anyone know what the threshold is or what not for them to determine it was physical damage?

Samsung will check for HPF water detection sensor and gyroscope/accelerator logs (your phone will record if the phone detects strong impact). From your OP, Samsung will honor your warranty and replace the camera sensor without any costs for parts. You may, however, have to pay for the shipping. Let me know how the repair goes~

and knox flag but assuming you havent rooted youre fine.
knox flag wouldn't have anything to do with a camera going faulty... but u might be right ... it is rooted.
i ended up just selling it as is for $480 last night... the extra time and waiting wasn't worth it.. people were selling new Note 4's for $550-$600...rogers gave me $100 credit on my HUP (which is only $87.50) so in the end i should be paying no more then $10-$20 out of pocket for a S6 Edge with accessories and free wireless charger from Rogers for pre ordering ; >
thanks for the help though.. appreciate it!
I hope that I can properly explain my issue this time and hope to get a response this time. A friend of mine had brought to me his galaxy note 3 that was dropped by his son in water and I have myself the wife's S4 that was also dropped in water. My S4 I put it in the rice and few days later it was back alive but then after few months the phone would start but you cant see anything on the screen. THE SCREEN WAS TOTALLY BLACK. I thought the screen had died but it is flickering when I turn on the phone While my friend's note 3 after he put it in rice we can also hear it turning on but also the screen is black but no screen flickering in the case of note 3. S4 can be read by the phone and can get info and backup. Note 3 undetectable by the PC and cant get info out. does anybody have a diagnosis for both devices. If so what are the remedies that we can use. The S4 might not be that needed since I have extracted all the relevant information and have a new device. But the Note 3 is the main device since my friend also needs the info on the phone and he is welling to forget about the phone if phone is unrepairable
Can I kindly request your assistance with the 2 devices

Tried it but no go
I once dropped my Moto X in water, then switched it off and kept it in Sunlight for a day and turned it on. It was good.
put it in a bag of (uncooked) rice for a week or more... That should absorb any moisture....
Hello!
I have two issues with my N9005:
First and most annoying is some black pixels/dots on both cameras. Rear camera got two of these but they are visible only when i maximize the zoom so it's not annoying that much. The problem is about front camera - after a drop there is about 5-6 big black dots which are moving sometimes when I shake the phone REALLY hard. I bet it's dust INSIDE the camera, because I cleaned the lens, even picked the module out. Is replacement only way to fix this? I've found cheap camera module from Note N9006 - will it work with my N9005?
Second problem is bad battery condition. It doesn't drop like broken ones but it lasts quite short - I don't use background social synchronization and still I can't get more than 5 hours SoT (I'm on RR 5.8.5 with rom's stock kernel) How to check whether battery should be replaced? Or maybe it's normal Note 3 behavior?
Thank you in advance!
Time to replace battery . try anker brand .
If someone's interested - I just replaced the camera, because "dot problems" was getting worse. (Front camera was unusable!)
