My S4 - 9505 in last 2 week gets very hot on charing... battery temps about >50°C..
I noticed that front glass get little out of bazel and realized that battery swell on center little bit.. and thats the reason why front display panel is not properly on its position.. it is little bit out from bezel on center bottom..
anyone have suggestions or experiance about this problem?
Wait so your battery is more fat?

Replace battery. They normally swell up like that at the end of their life, but given you've only had a it a few mths maximum, I'd be asking Samsung for a replacement (if you're using a genuine Samsung batter).

Hey folks,
I had my X10 a few days ago and since then I've been fairly happy with it's performance apart from the power consumption issues we're all experiencing. Anyhow.. recently, after powering down due to running outta juice; I've notice there's loads of speckally bits under the glass. I'm wondering is this normal? Or is my handset defective?
Thats not normal, unless you have opened it, or dropped it
Not done either!
Think ud be calling for a replacement.

Hi guys.
This morning I woke up as every other morning and did my breakfast on a glass table.
I always gently put the N4 on the glass table, with the bottom speaker just slightly out of the table's surface for being able to hear its sounds...I'm sure you know what I mean!
Fact is that this simple, standard and fair operation completely broke the back glass of the phone. I didn't even understand at first what all that creaky sounds were...then I felt like much dust was under the phone, but it was its back in millions of little parts. I posted a photo on G+ here https://plus.google.com/u/0/104235829819528805196/posts/dgbDjvAtGjM
Now...as I ask there...do you think warranty will cover this? It's a big hassle because I live in Italy and I bought it in an online shop in Germany with a re-shipment from there just because, as you know, the device wasn't much available elsewhere back in January (it's not available here in Italy even today). Do you think I take a risk if I send it back, like the device coming to LG and they refusing to repair it, so I just burnt lot of money of shipments and repair service for no reason? I see I could buy a replacement back for around 60 EUR but I will void the warranty opening it...and seeing how fragile it is....who knows what happens in the next 19 months....
In short, I need some advice
I'm not sure about warranty in Europe, so I'm not going to touch on that, however that break was caused by rapid temperature change, like if you run hot water on an iced over windshield on your car

This makes sense. The glass table is particularly cold at the touch, and thick. Even if I could also note that the phone was previously just in my bedroom at ambient temperature and no sun was on it, so, well, if the back of the phone was made of -some- part of simil-glass too, it was somehow cold too!
If you look close, the pattern comes from the camera, which doesn't sit flush, my guess is heat off the battery "vents" there, it was warm there, touched cold glass, and shattered

That looks pretty cool. I would give google a call, but if anything you can always hide it with a skin.

Thinking more about it, I remember I had just detached the phone from charge. But something weird happened! When I woke up, and the phone was still under charge from the night, I noticed the battery was still at 99% and charging, after 7/9 hours!!! I just let it complete the charge to 100% before detaching it. It could be it was particularly how and I did not notice it....
won't lie, that is by far the prettiest cracked back i've ever seen for a n4. hahaha
@ErgMeglio Well, you weren't dancing on it, so I'd say Google and/or LG would cover it with an International Warranty. I'm no lawyer, and bought mine through Google Play ... So I'd simply go back to them for a repair.

I've sent it under warranty after so many headaches with the shop.
Now I am awaiting for their investigation to know if they are going to cover it as they should.. imho...
Cross your fingers for me please

I think people should know about this, including that Sony do not cover it at all in warranty, nor do insurers.
I left my phone on the dashboard of the work van for around 4 hours whilst out on site. It was a baking hot day and I never considered the heat to be a concern.
Come back 4 hours later to find a crack, yes a crack, in the top right corner of my screen. It certainly wasn't there before I left the van, I changed the screen protector on the drive down, as I was in the passenger seat before anyone says something
The crack is roughly two inches long and has affected the panel beneath the screen, push on the crack and the screen goes all funky.
Having spoken to various shops and Sony themselves. They all agree it's the heat. It was only about 25° Celsius, scorching for the UK, so for you in the hot countries, heed this... DON'T leave the phone exposed to direct sunlight. Sony don't give a rats ass if the screen breaks.

Ride it like you downhill it.
I doubt they would honor the warranty because it's not factory damage. The obvious is that you left it in an extreme condition. Many electronic devices have advise that do not leave them under direct sunlight. Especially, Z is black which absorbs a lot of heat when compare to other colors.

I've had CDs warp when left on the dash in direct sunlight.
I know it was only 25°C outside, but consider that the windscreen will magnify the sun's rays and the heat is also trapped in what is basically an enclosed metal shed.

Yeah, I got unlucky on this, It didn't seem warm due to the wind but silly me didn't think of that.
In my country, the Nederlands, there is a instance which helps customers get in contact with companies like Sony. It's called the 'Consumentenbond'. They wrote and article about these cracks and asked everyone with a crack to contact them. Sony gave a reaction and should now be working on the issues people claimed.
I definitely think Sony does actually care.
My Z is to repair for a loose back panel now, but I also contacted this instance about this. Sony would get in contact with me in a few days to solve the problems and complains.

cars easily get over 140 fahrenheit inside on hot days. of course it's going to get heat damage. i destroyed an ipod several years ago leaving it in a car glovebox. it would only work when it was refrigerated.

There has been some days here in portugal that got over 45C and just leaving the phone for 10minutes on the passenger seat would make the glass extremely hot, it's like a sun-magnet. I reckon that 10 more minutes and something realy realy bad would happen like a glass crack.
Other than accidently placing the phone in the car on a hot day, I am more worried that the phone overheats itself when I'm using it to play games. What more living in a country that's has tropical weather all year long

You are lucky.
I did the same worth my bb9900 and the battry expanded inside the phone opening the back cover of the phone.
If it happened to XZ then the whole phone will crack.
Ps temp was that day close to 40c

All I know is that I have left it for 5+ hours in the car under direct sunlight in mid summer (40°C in Greece) several times while GPS, bluetooth, 4G was on and Google maps was running, the battery reached 58°C and my phone is still alive! No cracks, no melt downs, no back cover unglued etc.
25 degrees is not what your dashboard's temperature is. You should be aware that the dashboard is on a whole other level of freaking hotness under the sun. I don't think any company would honor warranty for cooked gear.

Leaving your phone in the car on its dashboard, on a hot day has nothing to do with warranty or any faults of the manufacturer! This is his own fault not sony's..
The cracks you're thinking are build-quality problems.

Need help from other S5 Users:
I own my S5 since last friday and the gap between the screen and the top frame seems to be a little wide. I would like to know from other S5 Users: Is your top gap also gathering so much dust in those few days since release?
Some Note 3's also suffer from this, and people got it replaced due to defect or just lived with it, my Note 3 didn't have it. But I have seen some with very big gaps. Manufacturing error It seems.
I had that on the s4 and now on the s5 but it's not noticeable ,

I got a replacement from my provider. The gap seems to be less wide.
But in general: My Speaker is eating fluffs from my jeansbag.. I am not really excited about the S5 in comparison to the S3.

There are strong adhesive between screen and frame. The gap get so much dust due to the adhesive. It is not normal to appear such gap. You'd better change a new one from the Samsung store.
today I desided to buy a Note 4 again..
when i would insert the battery i noticed that the BLACK area where the battery goes, there was som left over adhesive, not much but it was there..
I decided to return it and got a new one.. then again when putting in the battery now on the black edge on the left side in the battery area there was a small amount of adhesive...
I never experienced this on a samsung product before...
have any of you seen this before.. ??
the Note 4 works fine as i can tell..
On my note under battery there is a samsung sticker with emei, model number etc and another color changing water sensitive indicator.
