Hey there,
I am an active reader of this forum for 4 years now - thank you for all the information - and have a uncommon problem with my nexus 4,
yesterday i upgraded my purity rom to the actual build and have no cellular connection since then 8excuse me for my english right away)
What seems to be a trivila problem is kinda tricky (of course a looked a lot for possible causes and resolves in the forum).
the problem is: i have flashe the actual bootloader, radio and made a factory image flash and my nexus is working when on stock rom.
but when i flash a custom rom - i tried purity, psx and cm 10.1 - the cellular connectivity and in some cases wifi is gone. once i flash the factory image everything is fine again.
can you imagine a possible explanation?
one more information: when flashing the new purity update, i accidentally flashed not the current one, but the 2 month old version... but i allready made a clean-flash, wiping everything and flashing just the rom.
i'm on the most recent bootloader, radio und cwm-recovery
Any idea? Thanks in advance...
alex
update to latest recovery for either cwm or twrp its a common issue that many have posted issues about
hey,
it worked, reverted to an earlier cwm build and it works again. thank you very much

Hmmm, my sound has been perfect and I'm using Mahdi as well. Not sure what to tell ya other than perform a full wipe and reflash.
Some have suggested to flash the stock LG ROM, wipe, then re-flash Mahdi. I don't see how that would help but some have claimed it helped fix their problems.
mahdi
I solved the problem by editing the mixer_path.xml something like that.now im on nameless rom so i cant really remember the exact solution but its similar . on all aosp rom you can edit mixer path usually its the RX7 digital option you have to edit for example in nameless now on my g2 it was 65 and i edit to 68

have you found any solution em having same problem been trying many things since 2 weeks no luck. last step is to go back to stock using lg flash tool but its to complicated. which cell you are using ? model num ?
Hey guys! I'm trying to understand on which stock ROM you have flashed a Nougat custom ROM.
Personally, I'm on the latest RETEU 6.0.1 MPDS24.107-52-5 + January security patch (I don't remember, maybe 107-70) and I run AospExtended 4.3 with Optimus kernel r21.
So... what's your base firmware? Is it all ok?
I am using the combination you read in my signature. I have to disable HW overlays after every restart in order to have full screen video and stock camera working right. Except those, the device is faster and i love it.

And what is the stock ROM you have on the base?
Hm, didn't notice that part of your question from my tablet. If it may be of any help, i was using stock mm 6.0.1 but i erased system, data, cache and dalvik (clean installation) prior flasing the AOSiP 6.0.

The latest? And which version? European, Asian...
This one: XT1562_LUX_RETASIA_DS_6.0.1_MPDS24.107-52-5_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC (which i used to convert it from single sim to dual sim). There is also a newer one, you can find it here.
Hey guys, so I was on Oxygen OS 3.5.8 before updating and installed 7.1.2 roms (clean install) and both Sim cards have been losing connectivity over and over. Ive tried flashing the modem to 3.5.6 and even 3.1.0 and then doing another clean install but the issue remains. Ive tried multiple 7.1.2 roms and its the same thing, there was no issue before installing the roms. Any help would be appreciated
i am having the same problem, now i have to go back to stock rom.
I hear network drop issue is caused by Google contacts. If true, you could use the AOSP version. You might have to reflash the rom with pico Gapps.

Really? Ive never heard of that lol. Thanks Ill try that and update it here
Wow so that did the trick, Installed halogenOS with full gapss (not stock) and no signal drops
But now I only get edge connection for data, no LTE. Any idea how to fix that now?
EDIT: Updated to OOS 3.5.6 firmware and that did the trick! All good now. Thanks Murbert
Some updates
After go back to stock oos 3.5.8, no signal loss but not LTE also, only 3g or H+
Then I reinstall 7.1.2 ROM with gapps nano , so far no problem (never install Google contact)
Another update...
So Sim connection has been good but now wifi connection drops for like 10 seconds every now and then, very annoying.
Any idea on what this might be now?

By your good experience, I need suggestions for a good 32-bit ROM developed till now. Lag free running of phone, and battery backup are the main concerns.Plz suggest suitable kernel too. Replies are much appreciated. Thankyou.

Stock ROM with MoStock kernel is good. Try it.
However, if you want a little lightweight ROM, you might want to try @ED300's CyanogenMod 11.
You might also like ED300's CyanogenMod 12.1 as well. However, the latest updates, I find, are a little slow on my phone.
You can also flash MoStock on said CM11, but I haven't tried it, as you have to repackage some modules for WiFi & such.
I personally am on CM11 update 11 (with no special kernel) right now.

CyanogenMod 11 is a KitKat based ROM as far as I know and currently I am on RR 5.8.4 64-bit nougat ROM . Can you please tell does it require a specific procedure to flash from Android N to K or is it okay to flash normally like wipe > adv wipe > cache , dalvik , system / flash ROM , gapps , reboot.

Reverting to KitKat from Android 5.1+ (Lollipop, Marshmallow & Nougat) requires you to flash stock KitKat ROM.
Or you can try this firmware: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...itkat-lolipop-firmware-base-switcher-t3249046
Though I haven't tested this myself, I believe it will work fine.
---------- Post added at 07:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:04 AM ----------
Since you are on Nougat:
- Download KitKat firmware.
- Wipe dalvik, cache, data, system (don't wipe internal).
- Flash KitKat firmware & then flash the CM11 ROM over it.
If you choose to flash Stock KitKat ROM, do the normal flash:
- Wipe cache, data, system, dalvik & then flash Stock KitKat ROM.
Doing the latter (flashing KitKat ROM) will bring your device to the state of first, out-of-the-box, fresh boot.
What this means is that you'll have to start all over again (i.e flash recovery again).
go for official lineage by harsh
have been using it for one month or so , its flawless and works without lag
