My g1 started shutting off randomly. I'm not sure what the problem is. Anyone else have this problem before? Thanks.
I'm on SuperD 1.6 with darkstar theme and sterricsons lockscreen
Amon_Ra recovery
BFS and locksreen sleep hangs some times. I installed the same thing this morning and havn't had one yet.
I would say re-partition, wipe all, flash. make sure you back everything you want up. good luck!
I was thinking my battery needs to be calibrated? It's weird it just started happening...
I drain my battery until the phone dies then charge it when it's off. The LED turns green in under an hour. Something has to be wrong here right?
hmm, have you tried a new battery then? and I read you want to drain it to about 20-30% not all the way, this way it lasts longer. But I would say try someone else's battery or buy a new one
have you re partitioned wiped everything and flashed?
I don't want to buy a new battery if I don't need it. Money is tight! I have wiped everything though but haven't re-partitioned.
I let it drain and wiped everything today. Let it charge while off and it hasn't shut off. I'll have to see if the calibration was off or something..

Mine did it to me before and then it just shut off and died.
Mine (actually, an ADP1, not a G1) was doing the same thing. I returned it to the vendor. I wasn't running anything fancy, it did it on both the factory 1.0 build and after I upgraded to 1.6.
Hey guys I am selling my hero to someone and I wanted to put it at stock sprint without root,
The error I keep getting is my battery is less than 30% when it is at full charge
anybody else experienceing this issue
had that problem when i was putting in 2.1. I tried to restart my computer, turned off the phone, took the battery out for a while like a min or so, put everything back in. Deleted all the files in my temp folder on my comp as well and that worked. Don't know if it was my comp or the phone though.

Sounds like a problem with your battery stats, if the above advice doesn't work. Are you rooted? If so go into recovery and wipe battery stats.
Then let it charge and try to RUU again.
Hey all,
Since unrooting my phone the battery seems to go down a lot faster, now I didn't clear anything off the phone once I added the new firmware so that maybe the issue.
When I look at the battery meter it's saying most of it's being used by android services, can anyone help me sort this?
Cheers
Paul
Hi,
Try recalibrating your battery . To do it, just let it fully discharge, then charge it completely while turned off (battery icon will pop up). After it you'll let it discharge completely again and do the same. I don't know if it's really the method, but always worked for me .

Before unrooting did you use stock rom too?
Sent from my GT-I9500 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes used stock firmware to unroot everything and went okay but now my battery doesnt last long and wondered what I can potentially try to sort the issue out. I have tried letting the battery drain as above.

It's not.
Charge to 100%, pull battery, charge again to 100% while off. Battery calibrated. Fully discharging only damages your battery.
Yes I have done this also.
I have now done a factory rest and wiped everything clean so I will report back with my findings. Fingers crossed.

I had the exact same issue; yes, you're going to have to do a factory reset, that's what fixed it for me. It's generally a good idea after an upgrade of any kind, even a small one like this, to do a factory reset to avoid any potential issues.

It takes a couple hours to charge in general. If it wasn't doing that before, try a different charger, to see if that fixes the problem.
yea i have tried many cables and some just charge the phone slower than others. i find really short cables will charge the phone quicker too. anyway it seems a factory reset cleared up my battery issues so thank you for the help
Howdy, first time post here.
For some reason, my Galaxy Core Prime's battery has started draining rapidly even without using it very much. By mid-day it is beeping that it is almost out and wants a recharge.
This is with no apps running that I have launched.
I've tried stopping various apps, have clicked to stop them, etc, uninstalled a few new apps, but the problem continues.
This morning I noticed that the screen kept coming on. I would turn it off, place it down on my nightstand and it would immediately pop back on. Not sure if this is all related or not.
I'm leaving Saturday morning for a week of testing at Mayo Clinic and would like to have the phone with me in the various waiting rooms -- without running the battery done.
Anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what caused this to suddenly begin happening over the past week or so?
Thanks,
Chuck

Hey there Chuck!
Try reciting the phone in safe mode first to confirm that the battery drain is because of apps and boy the battery itself, alot of members had battery issues(me included).
If there is no battery drain in safe mode, then it is some app(s) that went rogue.
If there is battery drain then it may be due to battery itself.
Thanks!
Have you tried this yet?

Hi. I know this is an older post but wanted to respond in case someone may have similar issues. If your screen keeps coming on than it could be caused from spyware installed on your phone or from apps that were downloaded. First, I would check device administrator to see if there is anything unusual or that you don't recognize that's checked off. If there is than try a factory reset if you can't remove the application causing the problems. Also there are apps that you can download to fix it repair low or bad cells, and calibrate (reset battery stats). Make sure to charge the phone to 100% before doing repair and calibrate. Restart the phone when finished. Most of the time that will fix the problems but if not than you may need to purchase a new battery which is pretty cheap on eBay.
