I preordered 32gb Black pixel XL the minute it was announced on the 4th.
Everything went through fine and I got a confirmation email of the order.
Then I notice that there are no funds on hold in my account .
I think nothing of it and figure they will hold funds when it ships .
Fast forward to Monday the 17th .
I call customer service to inquire when I should receive my phone and why there isn't a hold on my bank account for the funds.
They tell me that I should receive the phone between the 26-28 of October .
And that I will be charged when it ships.
That my order is processing and every is fine .
Last night I get an email from Google saying that my order has been cancelled.
It states to reason as to why ....
So I call customer service , they tell me its a billing issue and transfer me to google wallet .
We verify that my billing and mailing addresses match and they do .
Next we get on a 3 way call with my bank to see if their were any declines from their end .
Once again nothing , the bank has no record of google ever making any attempt to charge it hold funds.
The customer service representative from wallet says " well everything looks fine , so you should go ahead and place an order again "
I said to them it's sold out , how do you want me to do that .
They had no answer for that .
Then she transfered me to the ordering department .
I went back and forth with them about what took place , they escalated it to a tier 2 person , in which they told me to join the waiting list .
This is complete bull**** , they canceled my order for no reason and now I have to get on a waiting list for a phone that i ordered and got confirmation was shipping next week .
What can I do at this point ?

That sucks. One thing to try is pleading on twitter. Many companies hate when you make something public on social media so you may get a better response.

Contacted them via phone and chat and was told something happened in the system and a bunch of orders got cancelled and that there was nothing they could do about it. Absolutely ridiculous! Having ordered over two weeks ago only to get on a wait list now and probably not get the free VR headset!? Really wish this was a regular retail store so I could take my business elsewhere.

So far it doesn't seem like it. All I have been told is that I need to get on the wait list. That is unacceptable as it looks like it will push the order out 1-2months and we would be screwed out of the VR headset. I just called back myself to try talking to someone else or a manager if needed. They said they had to check on something and they would call me back in 5 minutes (we shall see if they do).
The only acceptable resolution for me is for them to reinstate the order and get it shipped out soon as well as still providing the codes for the headsets . After committing to spend over $1600 with Google for two phones I think that is fair on my part.
If you are getting the 32GB, it often goes back on sale multiple times a day. I say 1/3 times I checked the 32GB is available, the 128GB is the hard one. Just keep checking and you will be able to order another one. I used their financing, that might help too if you can, don't have to deal with another bank. No reason not to at 24 mo, 0% interest. Saves yourself a tiny bit through the time value of money.

I used the Google financing and the order was still cancelled! I have 3 different email addresses set on the wait list since I am trying to get 2 phones. I am constantly checking to see if I can grab one. If I can get an order in for two by tomorrow I will be satisfied. Not happy, but satisfied.

You will get a hard inquiry in your credit report, that was the reason I didn't finance.

Ya, you think they would just force an order in, even if they have to add it to the next batch, just put it in reserve.

Yes you will, that is the only down side, so make sure you have no problem with your credit being affected by that.

I just called back again and pressed the issue. They finally escalated the issue but this just means they emailed me to tell me I would hear back in 1-2 business days. I made it clear that this defeats the purpose as by then the preorder is over and I loose the headsets.
Not holding my breath here though.

That's where they left off with me last night.
Escalated and awaiting an email ... Meanwhile the phone launches at best buy and Verizon tomorrow.
Really weighing out my options at the moment to make sure I don't left in the dark.

yeah, really blows. I don't want any other phone but really need a new one. I really don't want to buy from VZW or anyone else with their fingers in things. Worst case I wait until they are available again but I am still going to be very bitter about being screwed out of 2 VR headsets.
google pre order system works backwards.
Same thing happened to me today at 3pm. I had google finance and pre ordered the phone on October 4th and all of the sudden it got cancelled.
There seems to be a lot on canceled orders on here alone. I wonder if it scales up with everyone that pre-ordered? If it does, could it be google canceled random people due to low supply?

just a heads up. I called Google the other day to ask about the pre order promotion. I said specifically that I wanted to take advantage of it but was afraid that I would miss it because the window was closing.
The rep from Google told me not to worry that "no matter when you order, if you get this phone, you get a headset".
Verizon seems to be doing the same thing. I called them and they gave me a promo code over the phone they said you just need to activate a phone to use the promo. Doesn't seem to matter when you buy.
I think it was setup this way just to build hype.

It definitely isn't everyone. I have a buddy who ordered one the same day and he also financed with Google. His order has not been cancelled as of now. Granted he did get the regular Pixel so maybe it is related to the XL only?
They claimed to me on the phone that two nights ago at 3am something happened and the orders had issues/got cancelled and that it happened to many orders.

I haven't received any shipping information as of yet. It has been 24 hours since my transaction already went through. I even have a pending charge on my CC. I was thinking of calling Google, I'll reply with any further information I receive.

I can't wait for mine either but i can't help but think that they could have predicted huge demand for either there nexus 4 and 10 with the huge spec and low cost....
I'll be upset if my order is delayed because of them... its Google one of the biggest company's in the world. This should be child's play for them

Ordered in the UK as soon as it was available. Took half an hour as the site was throwing error after error due to the number of people trying to buy Nexus products.
In the end I got TWO orders and I only had one successful order on-screen
Was told they couldn't cancel either. Multiple phone calls and escalations later and one has been cancelled, but the other is just in state "pre-ordered" and none of the staff know what that order status even means! They've had to escallate the issue.
No tracking. No payment taken. Yet it is supposed to arrive by tomorrow.
Dreadful experience from the Google Play store. Absolute shambles.

Kinda feels like you're being jipped, paying 14 bucks for 2-day shipping, but having to wait for 2 days to have them "process" it.
Nexus 10 order received, put in box, pack with peanuts, close box, label box, put box on truck. Its not rocket science.
I got my shipped email. My tracking reference shows it as being delivered to Christchurch on 1 November. Will give them a call tomorrow and find out what gives!!
Mines tracking too but the consignment numbers take up to 24 hours to update to the new system. Be patient, you'll get your goods.
Which means they're early by one day.

Mines was ordered by my father as a birthday/Christmas gift. He ordered it, sent to my address but used his gmail account so I can't see shipping info. He forwarded me order number but I can't tell if its been shipped! I also live in CA not far from the order details Google address.

I ordered just after 8am in UK, some people who ordered at kid day have had tracking numbers already.
Over 36 hours later and my order still says pending, and I called up to be told it'll ship by early next week.
Why on earth am I paying £10 for them to take a week to ship me something?

Same here, except the girl wouldn't tell me any estimations on shipping. She would only tell me it takes 1-2 days to process...

Does that mean you have to go back in time to get it on the 1st? All I ever heard was how good Google is with this stuff, and it doesn't seem like they were ready... I guess with any big release there are going to be issues.

Hey guys has anyone had any details about ASDA dispatching the xperia z preorders?
I'm pretty sure that when i selected the free delivery option, that it mentioned something about it being a guaranteed delivery date of 28th Feb. Does anyone else remember anything similar?
I ordered on the 14th of Feb.
Mine is sitting on 'Back Order' haven't heard anything from ASDA.
Mine says this on the tracking system:
Awaiting Stock - We're waiting for stock of all these items to become available. As soon as these items leave our warehouse and are their way to you we'll send you an email to let you know.
But even if they get stock tomorrow i doubt they can get it to me the same day
It's wishful thinking, but hopefully they're just crap at keeping the website updated. Mine reads the same as others.
Going to be mighty annoyed if I don't get it tomorrow. I never go to Asda for anything - supermarket or online - they're not doing a great job of turning me around...

I spoke to them about 6pm and was told "your order isn't showing as back ordered on my screen. You see the phone isn't released untill tomorrow, so it can't be dispatched before then. If it doesn't say dispatched by this time tomorrow, call us back"
This was after I'd already explained the guaranteed 28th Delivery. Not holding my breath for getting it on release day. Even though the accessory pack was a big bonus, I picked Asda because no other site had commited to a delivery date at that point. Seems like another examine of Asda over promising and under delivering.

I saw some sites got their deliveries late and had to dispatch on the 28th, i wonder if maybe this was the same for asda.
Mine still says on backorder. Just went through the process of ordering again to see if there were any delivery options this time and there were options to leave with neighbours etc. This wasn't an option when pre ordered. I am not sure if it means anything though.
I have seen on game forums that asda have form for this sort of thing too. Gonna see if I can find more info.

Update: just got off the phone with asda, while my order still says on back order, they're are saying that they have the phone in stock (as reflected on the site) and awaiting dispatch. Though I'm not certain I completely trust that!
The asda website looks like they've done a hasty removal job of anything to do with the preorder, so much that they still have photos of the preorder accessories, with absolutely no mention of coming with any.
I wouldn't imagine anyone would have felt the need to take proof of them promising delivery today, but it was plastered all over the site. It was even in the hidden T&Cs regarding the accessory pack saying you wouldn't actually get the dock and case today, something along the lines of "on 28th February you will receive the Bluetooth speaker, and a voucher for the case and dock redeemable from Sony stores"
The phone is being advertised as "in stock" for new orders, so I've got my fingers crossed that they are just being really poor at updating people's accounts.

I just remember it being mentioned when in the checkout process, i have searched online and others have mentioned the guaranteed delivery date for game pre-orders form asda direct in the past.

I've decided to cancel my preorder with asda and get them directly from sony with the free headphones (which more then makes up for the extra £29). Though I'll probably sell the headphones.
Though even the order cancellation is a hassle, apparently it has to be passed to a "technical team" and will take 24 to 48 hours for an email to come through stating the order has been cancelled.... I don't think I'll ever use asda again!
Can't believe the way ASDA have handled this pre-order. Even their website shows 'in stock', but my order still says 'back order'!! Im on hold to speak to a manager!

The manager gave me a £40 e-voucher for the inconvenience. Ordered with Sony directly, with free headphones!

GeraldC: I have checked on the order details and I can see that yes, your current order is being back ordered. Due to the high demand of the device our inventory isn't able to suffice all order from activations and upgrades. The estimated delivery date is 6 weeks from the date the order was made.
You: wow, will it be better to get it from the store?
GeraldC: That depends on the available inventory on our store, you can head to the nearest store on your location to check if there's available one.
You: when are the stores supposed to get them?
GeraldC: Usually if a store runs out of stock, the estimated delivery date is 6 weeks as well since the device is ordered and coming straight from the manufacturer.
You: Do you know when the stores will begin to receive them?
GeraldC: As of now the information is not made available for us, it would be best if you head to the nearest store so that they can give you specific date based on the day when they have made an order for their inventory.

My pre-order date was the 25th at like 7am.
I couldn't get the system to work the first couple days...didn't pre-order till the 27th... order says processing

Hope your right. I went to my local t mobile store on Saturday and the rep told me that my note 4 should be delivered on the 16th or 17th. He said he was pretty confident of that. Sidenote.. on my order status page under order history it does say backorder where it use to say pending shipping.....hopefully that's because it is not available yet.
I order mine by 9:06 am that day.
I doubt not many people would want a phone this big + its not an apple.

Mine doesn't say backordered, but it really doesn't matter. Their whole system is messed up.
I preordered mine Sept. 27th. Then on Oct. 3rd my status went to being processed and on back order. That's when I did an online chat and I posted the results in the OP. This is for the Note 4.

Stores get them sometimes a full week before release dates. Sometimes they even do a "soft release" when they have it in stock but not on display. You have to know they have it in stock and request it though and there is no way to know that unless a rep tells you or you are in there asking every day.
I got my vibrant (sgs1) this way.... was in store looking to upgrade from my G1 to a g2... saw someone looking at a vibrant right next to me playing Avatar on it n I was like.. "ummmmmm, what phone is that?" Told it was a vibrant, not officially on sale till the next week but I could get it now if I requested it by name cause they had them in stock and were doing a "soft release".
nice thats next friday. hopefully they dont sell out.
same thing happened last year which is why I just go to the store...usually a small line, but you will get one (this is not the iphone)
their online system is whack

Yea, I don't think I'm going to pre-order again in the future, this whole process does seem messy.
For my situation, I have a 4 Year Anniversary so I decided I'd get us a pair of Note 4s. I called the rep and one I was just going to order on my account and the other I was just paying outright for it. Well the rep couldn't process them both at the same time because it triggered some fraud warning. (Oh I was also ordering one of the WiFi calling routers). So after a bit of a hold she came back and said she would have to separate each item and buy them on separate days.
So that day I got the Black one ordered, the next day she called back and got the white one ordered, and finally the 3rd day she called back to order to the WiFi calling router. At that point everything looked great, all orders pending, I was a happy camper (though still wasn't liking the fact that it appears I would get it a couple days after release due to shipping, which after reading the posts here seems like that might be debatable and they might actually arrive early).
Well fast forward a couple days, I was checking the orders cause I'm crazy and impulsive like that and just noticed an update. On my Black N4 and Router they both say 'Pending' still. My White N4 however is now saying backorder! Having a bit of a freakout cause its an anniversary present and timing is critical. And to make matters worse, everyone I seem to talk to says something a bit different and so I've come to the conclusion that nobody really knows. Some say 'Oh our system just says that, but there will be plenty available' or 'I'm sure it will still be sent on time because we haven't had that many orders come in' to 'Oh, yes there has been a very high demand, maybe you can give the one that does make it and yours will just have to wait' or 'The system had a minor glitch and has now been corrected, because of this we now have an update on our stock and thus many orders have been changed accordingly'.
Sooooo yea. Here is keeping my fingers crossed, but just wanted to share that on my account I have two order and one says Pending and the other says Backorder.
Edit: Just to let you know this order process was on 9/24 (black one), 9/25 (white one), 9/26 (router).
Everything went smooth, got my loaner which was the crappy J7 and pre-ordered that other phone (cough) But when I checked my account I see they tried to play me! She removed my Jump 1.0 and put me on Jump 2.0 so I called 611 ASAP and got that changed back. Why the heck would I want to have to pay half of the device off before I can jump? The way it's setup now I get 2 upgrades a year. I always get one in May and then another in August which is only 3 months so I only make 3 payments on my phone and then I get to jump again. Got the HTC 10 in May, jumped to the Note 7 in August and T-Mobile pays off the $594 I owed on the HTC 10. I remember when I first got with T-Mobile I waited 9 months before my first jump so I'm guessing that's why I get a jump at 9 months, then again after 3 months but I like it like that.
I refuse to accept a crappy J7 phone as a substitute for the most expensive phone they had in their stores. I've spent the past six days either at the store, on the phone or on Twitter and have absolutely nothing to show for my effort.
Sunday, the store said they couldn't do anything, to call customer service. Monday I called and requested an S7 Edge. They ordered an S7 instead which was supposed to be shipped overnight. Tuesday when I didn't get the confirmation email, I went on Twitter. I told them I wanted an S7 Edge, and they told me that once the EIP is signed, it's a done deal. When the phone didn't show shipped Wednesday morning, back on Twitter. I again told them I wanted an S7 Edge. I finally got someone who said OK, we'll get you an S7 Edge, we'll stop UPS from delivering the S7 and we'll overnight it. Thursday came with no tracking information on the S7 Edge. Back on Twitter. I was told that the Edge would ship Thursday overnight. Today, no Edge. Come to find out they're out of them. One representative said to turn the Note 7 in at the store and pick any phone they have. The other wanted me to call a phone number to arrange for a loaner.
This has been the most focked up customer service experience in my life. I want to flame T-Mobile on every venue that I can.
when i did the same they literally called the 800# and handed me one of their personal cell phones and had me set up the exchange with corporate. I have my Note 7 until they send me both an S7 edge and the replacement Note 7. Once the replacement note 7 shows i have to return my old note 7. Really just means i have 2 phones for a while

She had a email with all the steps they were supposed to follow so I didn't argue but the J7 does suck lol. They have my account all screwed up now, and I have a balance of -$488 some how so I ain't gonna complain lol. But I would like to know how each T-Mobile store in my area (4 within a few miles of each other) only got 1-3 regular iphones each while the lines were around the building lol. This was the absolute dumbest launch for a phone I have ever seen.

If you had held out for the S7 or S7 Edge you would have been eligible for either a VR or a 256 gig SD card. You have a receipt and a ESIN because you essentially bought the loaner they're supposed to credit back when the replacements come in.
I already got the card with the Note 7. I want the VR.
My account is also all screwed up! I have a balance of almost $1000. not sure how that is, when my normal bill is around $240 and paid in full long before the due date.
With this fiasco tmobile ****ed up my bill somehow... Someway... So won't be putting my hands in any loaner. I got a note 7...it is a note 7 I will return. The funny part is I did a normal jump 1...first and last time I do that over the phone.

Call them... What I did they fixed that up and some screw up. Cause I was being billed for the note 5 still as well as the iPhone 6 I paid off... My bill went from 271 to 190 somehow

Mines the same way, but -649 instead of -1300. Called and they said it was the EIP refund for the n7 for when I got the s7e and it'll clear up on the next bill. If you had 2 n7's that makes sense, as it's double what mine is.

Went to exchange my Note 7 with the s7 edge (loaner) at my t mobile store. Before I went up there I called and asked if they have silver Note 7 for exchange and the girl said yes. Short story is I wait inline for 45 minutes just to hear that samsung never sent any silver phones. I called 3 other stores near me and NO ONE has silver, I also cannot exchange my silver for a black. WTF
My store would exchange my silver for blue (which I didn't want) but i decided to get it anyway. sat there my entire lunch hour and still didn't get to the desk. another store just hasn't got any yet. the third has them locked in the safe and won't sell/exchange them until they hear from "upper management" tried twitter and calling for support and was told that exchanges can only be done in store. oh and the other store I called said that I could exchange it, but i'd have to bring in the box, which i don't have, so that's nice. they sent me a survey for my call, that was a mistake.

According to Twitter TmobileHelp A box is preferred but they should still be able to help you. Ask for twitter public confirmation a box is needed in the store.
Confirmed. You are not required to have the box but the would prefer it.

As far as my return, I just returned my Note 7 yesterday for a refund. My account currently shows -747.50 and there is no EIP for the Note 7 on my account anymore. Now I just need to wait for everything to get squared away which T-Mobile is slow at doing. I too have the original Jump 1 plan and will be watching closely to make sure they don't screw it up. My Note 5 also shows that it was not returned but that is the only EIP I have now. Returning the phone was painless and the girl training the guy knew exactly what to do.

I did. Actually don't know if he got fired because the franchise store owner said that from what he was told by the guy trying to be my friend there, I was a threat to the other employees. He wanted to put a restraining order on me after I called the cops.

Soon as he approached me it would have been game over. Another typical kiddie. I'd make sure he lost his job and even threaten to post it online if he didn't. Then I'd do it anyway and post it as many places as I could. Ruin his punk ass life for good. Did I mention I'd also get my law partner in my firm to file whatever criminal and civil charges we could just to make sure he ****s in every single pair of pants he owns?

As bad as it sounds I didn't pursue to much on this because I couldn't miss to much of work. But the whole store is full of **** heads. That guy and the manager who i think has been trying to find me on social media.
I do have a police report. I think he got fired bit it'll be OK since apparently his mom is an undercover CIA agent.
So I am trying to exchange my phone. Verizon Tech support sends me to local store to exchange. Local store is FAKE. fake plastic demo phones. not a corporate store so they couldn't exchange my phone since it was a online purchase. So back to the tech support again. 1st guy was going to overnight me a phone and then put me on hold then I got shuffled to a 4th person and after 2 miserable hours for a 10 min ordeal I find out that i have to bill the sales tax on the new one to my bank account and overdraw because i have no more money to put in since i used what i had for the first phone. add a few expletives. Then they would reimburse me after they get the 1st one back. So since i can't do that I will get a refurbished one and "oh" i have to do a factory reset and reinstall my phone to verify it is bad.. So waste a few more hours I did that and the audio still cuts out when i play music as talked about in a diff thread. So now i have to call back again.. I'm so mad. anyone else have this kind of problem with Verizon?

That's what thought.
Go on Twitter and raise a fit. Specifically tag @JohnLegere @Tmobile or something. They have specialist teams running on social media to try to keep down negative feedback. They may even have a @verizonHelps or something Twitter account... I would tweet them and explain your situation.
I don't know how dedicated Verizon's specialist team actually is. They're likely going to be highly motivated to retain their reputation though, being a highly coveted big name brand. All I know is I call yearly to "cancel" my services to a lot of companies and that's how I keep a lot of my bills nice and low. I couldn't get a connection to my house for broadband when I was living in the sticks, so I contacted the corporate # for AT&T... got us put into the system so we could get a connection... Squirrels were eating our lines at our apts (unbeknownst to us) and after four lying techs and several months of barely useable internet, I called the President of Comcast and the team there had a guy out with a specific time he'd be there and he fixed the issue in hours. My point is you have to raise the issue further if you want things done and there are twitter accounts, hard to find phone numbers out there that may help with your issue... you just have to look.
T-mobile was giving me issues with possibly returning phone due to the "your phone is corrupt" message, and they did finally get me to Buyer's Remorse so I could exchange the device. Decided on not exchanging the phone just yet and just test a little while longer. At least my account is notated... sometimes it's a matter of who you get on the line. I had to call a few times before I could be routed to Buyer's Remorse. Also, BE NICE.

I wouldn't put it past anyone to put a phone right back in it's box and send it out But yeah, video tape, document, take pictures of that unboxing... and the entire return/packaging process... even the person putting the tape on the box, get their name, note the register #, etc...

After another wasted phone call they go to process a refurb then tell me the phone is too new they don't have any in stock till after the 14 days or something like that. arrgh!!!! Time to cancel my dr's appointment and drive 100miles round trip. they did say they could reimburse me for the gas and credit it to my bill.
