It's some type of screen retention but I doubt it's screen burn since it does it within 15 minutes. If the OP will look on the Lenovo forums they will see a long list of people reporting this and a reply from a Motorola employee. Most of these problems appear to be from users in India.

I had the exact same issue. Had to get the display changed. Apparently there was a faulty batch of this phone which had this problem.

It's not a screen burn... LCD's don't burn.
It's a software issue, and that's what they are doing when you sent it for a fix - recalibration, not replacement.

I can bet that its not a software issue because I had the same problem. I agree that LCD's don't burn but there are screen retention issues.

I know right
They'll follow their procedure.
At first they'll tell you that its a software issue and factory reset the phone.
Only after that, they'll think of display replacement.
Its gonna take 15-20 days depending on your area.

actually changing rgb values in ex kernel manager fixed it for me once then i forgot the values search these forums u can find them

There is no "LCD burn".
The LCD panel comes with an embedded hardware chip (driver, touchscreen) and that's the chip that is affected by a software miss-configuration. That one can be partially solved by lowering the RGB values, or re-flashing that chip. Probably some service centers would replace the screen just because is faster or they don't have the flashing tools for that driver.

Dead Pixel on Camera

I just got my Nexus 4 (16GB) after being in Limbo 2 since Monday and when I got it today and tested the camera, there was a black mark/dot on the camera. It appears on photos and anything that accesses the camera. I've already called up Google and placed an RMA, but I'm curious if anyone else has this issue?

I think it's probably something very small stuck to the glass of the camera. Can camera's even have dead pixels?
take more photos and we can make this into a game of find the black spot!
My phone has a rattling sound when shook, or picked up quick, tapped....
Then... i started focusing with the camera and the camera focusing started to make clicking and locking sounds....
Yeh it doesn't look like a dead pixel. It looks like a speck of dust/dirt..
looks like a dead pixel to me. i had the same on my Galaxy Nexus, but the dot wasnt as big as yours. Proceed with the RMA and get a new one
How about trying to take some reference pictures. Get a sheet of paper with a grid on it and take a photo then give the camera a good (but careful) shake, then take the same photo from the same place and see if it has moved. If so, you know it's dust.
Not sure how that helps cos you can't get at the camera to clean it out. I suspect you'll need to RMA it either way

Yea just call Play Support. I confirmed with a rep today that they have phones in stock. Just be prepared to have them place a pending charge on your card for the amount of the phone while waiting for the warranty process.

Pretty much this, except my replacement hasn't shipped out yet it even though I place the order on Monday evening.
Seems like it was just dust as the black mark is no longer there.

It gets disappeared when screen gets off or if I turn off the mobile. But when screen is On it is clearly visible. What is it? Is it a hardware issue? Has anyone faced the same isdue on any phone. Currently downloading the latest firmware. Wish after updating firmware this issue get vanish. If not then I have to go to svc.

Hi, looks like a stuck pixel on your screen. Use an app from play store that fixes stuck pixel and should fix it.
Something like this >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/...EsImNvbS5odGMuY2hyaXMuYmxhY2tzcG90ZGV0ZWN0Il0.

A dead pixel is black. He has a stuck pixel. This can be fixed with some apps. In case doesn't fix , you can go from where you bought it and replace it, but first give a try to some apps that fix stuck pixels.
Thanks for reply Dean and Kimkim. I have installed that app and run it twice. First time for 10 mins and second time for 30 mins. But no luck. That stuck pixel is still there. Now have to go to service center only.
Btw what is the reason behind happening of this? Any idea?
Thanks & Regards,
Chintan

I have managed to remove a stuck pixel on my S2 by simply rubbing the screen!
It sounds crazy but someone told me to try it and it worked, it never came back.
Just apply pressure to the screen where the stuck pixel is and keep rubbing, it should disappear.

I remember i did this on a old LCD monitor and it worked, but i really wouldn't suggest apply any pressure on s4 screen. They're lots of reports of broken amoled under the glass. So doesn't sound like a good idea. Better to have it replaced for free than to bring it back with broken screen and to be charged for that.
Ok. Thanks everyone. Will go to service center in a day or two to get it replaced.

[Q] Before getting a LG G2, I ask...

Hello People...
In a week I'm going to be able to get a LG G2 in my Mobile Company.
But, I want to ask all the Owners of this Great Phone, if there is the Same Problem with the Screen of the G2 with other LG Products.
Right now I own a Optimus 4X HD and 2 months after I got it, there was this kind of dust under the Screen. Actually it's not Dust but it seems like. Also, I've been reading the Nexus Forums and there is similar problems with the Screens.
I checked the G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and I nobody has complain about this Problem in the G2 so, I want to know if the G2 could have this problem.
I really like my 4X HD but I don't want to have the seme thing in my G2. This problem is the only thing that can change my mind in any second to get a S4 or a Moto X but I really like everything about the G2.
So, how you Screen in the G2??? Any dust under the Screen???
Not so far (had for about 1 month).
no issues so far.. been flashing roms after roms since 2months ago.. no complaint whatsoever for this great phone :good:
There is something under my screen. Doesn't look like dust.

This is similar to what I have in my 4X HD... So, maybe it is a General problem from LG.
Anyway I getting the LG G2 as soon it is available in my Cellphone Company.

Good to know that. Thank You.
I have been using my G2 since before it was officially available in T-Mobile stores (they didn't even have price tags for it)... September 21st actually is when I picked it up and there is absolutely nothing beneath my screen. Keep in mind that you can see the grid for the touch panel on this phone though. It is not usually visible when the screen is on, but definitely is in the light when it is off. I think it's kinda cool personally, but it is something I hadn't seen on other phones that I have owned.
This next part is not at all what you asked, but is something that I feel I should express to a potential buyer.
By the way, in all of this time I have yet to experience the phone getting hotter than 100F even with extensive gaming, and really have had no problems at all. The only thing I have found is that, if you download an app that has some issues, particularly if it accesses the internal storage, you will definitely feel it. I had the phone heat up on a couple of apps, but it about 3/4 of the way down the phone. I promptly uninstalled said apps and the temp immediately started to decline to normal operating temperature, or about 80F. I have had other apps that also access the storage, but do not bug out and the phone stays cool as would be expected.
I have used 4X, G Pro and now G2, never encounter dust problem. Understand from local forum that some owners of 4X and G Pro have dust problems and LG SC would clean the devices free of charge

My LG is crapping out.

Now I love my LG don't get me wrong but I seem to have problem after problem. First of all my service is terrible. I've tried new Sim cards nothing helps... Second my auxiliary port just stopped working completely. The plugs plug in and click but no sound is transmitted. Third my camera lens has seem to develop this "film" on it. Here are examples.

I plan on it, but I just wanted peoples opinions about it. I refuse, and I mean refuse to pay LG for any repair they do to my phone. I have never even dropped this thing and besides these issues it is in perfect shape. However my phone is rooted with a custom recovery, but since these are "hardware" issues and not "software" do you think I will have any issues?
Yes you will have to unroot it even though its not a software problem warranty's are terrible about denying people even though rooting didn't mess it up its like Chevy saying we won't repair your engine because you have custom seats and a custom radio

This doesn't look like a normal dead pixel. I think something has been damaged in the panel itself. Because, a dead pixel usually will just be one pixel or more not firing up, but here 3 pixels are glowing up in different colors. I think, they are receiving varying voltages of current and that makes them glow differently. If you don't have any scratches, take it to samsung service center ASAP. They will replace the entire screen along with the digitizer.

Yes, if you are still within the swap window and if there is no evidence of damage, you can easily get it swapped.
Exact same thing is wrong with mine. Does yours have a slight rattle like somethings loose inside?
I think I'm screwed. I bought mine used, don't have the original receipt of purchase and I'm using a 928T on ATT. Samsung won't honor a warranty without a receipt (according to their website), and obviously att or tmobile won't do anything

Did you get a new screen from Samsung service? I have the same problem and wondering can I get free because it's not worth of paying the replacement.
Is there any fix for this issue or it is really the screen that is broken and not the pixels. I got this on s7 edge aswell.
