I don't believe that can be fixed. ?
Maybe you must go to service center to replace the screen with a new one.

Really doubt that it will help. This is toast.. Try to replace it through warranty if there are no marks from the drop, maybe you get lucky

If I were you, I would do what he said (below). If there are no drop marks, there is a very good chance you can claim the warranty!

I heard a guy repare a pixels like that with fire, yes warming up with fire tell pixels turn of with the heat and after that the pixel cool down and reset the area.... but I don't now is true.

I think its the screen itself, that can't be repaired by using apps :/

I had a spot like the lower one appear on mine today. No drop, been in a case 99% of the time. Still in 14 day window to exchange with Sprint. Will they exchange for a defect that wasn't apparent immediately?

This doesn't look like a normal dead pixel. I think something has been damaged in the panel itself. Because, a dead pixel usually will just be one pixel or more not firing up, but here 3 pixels are glowing up in different colors. I think, they are receiving varying voltages of current and that makes them glow differently. If you don't have any scratches, take it to samsung service center ASAP. They will replace the entire screen along with the digitizer.

Yes, if you are still within the swap window and if there is no evidence of damage, you can easily get it swapped.

Exact same thing is wrong with mine. Does yours have a slight rattle like somethings loose inside?
I think I'm screwed. I bought mine used, don't have the original receipt of purchase and I'm using a 928T on ATT. Samsung won't honor a warranty without a receipt (according to their website), and obviously att or tmobile won't do anything

Did you get a new screen from Samsung service? I have the same problem and wondering can I get free because it's not worth of paying the replacement.

Is there any fix for this issue or it is really the screen that is broken and not the pixels. I got this on s7 edge aswell.

Looks looks a fabrication issue to me. Probably a defect in the frame that have developed into a chip breaking away!
I would have gone back to the store just to see what they said about it.
Who knows, maybe they can arrange something!?

I know mate, it'd bug me too but I'd put it in a case that covers the bezel so I don't have to look at it anymore. As long as the phone is working sound I'd be okay with a few cosmetic marks.
got similar chip as well 2 weeks after i got mine plus my usb port burnt too. sammy asked me to pay another S$250 (already paid $900 for the phone). i refused and wrote something on their facebook plus sent an email to them n got it replaced. good luck.

The Sammy pple told me the phone was corroded as there were water in the phone causing corrosion to the chip...blah blah. Told them there were burnt smell but they don't care. I was using the phone as per my other previous HTC phone from desire HD/sensation/one X ie., daily usage plus abt 3-4 times a week jogging with the phone in the arm strap. The only way the water can be found in the phone was from my running.

Screen burn in

Within 3 days of owning the note i have burn in already how is this possible. when the brightness is on the lowest setting and your on a screen with a black or grey background you can easily see back scribble marks all over from when i was in s note just drawing lines everywhere playing around. Its not like i drew them and just left the screen on for a day to burn it in either

The best thing you can do is go to the service center or return the phone where you bought it.
Samsung Service is really good and they replaced my hard bricked Galaxy Ace's motherboard for free under warranty.

i asked amazon but i dont want to return it and be without a phones for 2 weeks. they told me i should buy another one then return this one for a refund. the notes on amazon are not fullfilled by amazon now so if i get one through another dealer and theres a problem i just dont feel like dealing with them for a refund
Well, even if you returned it to Samsung for repair, you'd be without it for a few weeks, so your choice really is quite simple.
Put up with it, or return it.

daft suggestion but have you tried cleaning the screen?
it doesn't "burn" like a crt so you shouldn't see it when dark if there was a problem.
could it just be grease marks?

yeah its not the screen its clean as could be. i downloaded a screen burn-in tool and when it cycles through the colors and gets to red. u can see where the marks are but there blurry almost like they were bleeding. but all other colors u cant see the marks. but if i open up a black screen and turn the brightness down u can clearly see the black marks from when i was just scribbling lines on s-note. its def in the screen its not marks its burnt in
heres another pictures taken in the dark with a greyish background with the lowest brightness
Don't worry about the black dots, because that's a common problem for amoled screens. I also have it on my s3 that I have changed 4 times because of this problem. But sometime you can be a lucky and get one without this issue.

With many (if not most) cases, when the phone is face down the screen is raised from the surface. So if your phone falls face first, the screen won't make contact with the surface. Obviously if the surface is very jagged then the display may hit it. The case (particularly dual layer varieties) also adds a little bit of shock protection that will help decrease the chance of shattering the screen from blunt force to other parts of the phone.
I'm about to go into this thread and tell you to try flashing stock rom....

today I sent it to repairs, they couldn't give me any estimate of price, but when I hear from them I will report back with that info and when they repair it if possible I will also report final cost.
Only thing they estimated was that it is going to take about 2 weeks!
My One is she because well it's my One but not only and it also seems to break up easily..
It had this kind of case, but did not help when dropped face down since there was some small rocks.

Hi, looks like a stuck pixel on your screen. Use an app from play store that fixes stuck pixel and should fix it.

A dead pixel is black. He has a stuck pixel. This can be fixed with some apps. In case doesn't fix , you can go from where you bought it and replace it, but first give a try to some apps that fix stuck pixels.
Thanks for reply Dean and Kimkim. I have installed that app and run it twice. First time for 10 mins and second time for 30 mins. But no luck. That stuck pixel is still there. Now have to go to service center only.
Btw what is the reason behind happening of this? Any idea?

I have managed to remove a stuck pixel on my S2 by simply rubbing the screen!
It sounds crazy but someone told me to try it and it worked, it never came back.
Just apply pressure to the screen where the stuck pixel is and keep rubbing, it should disappear.

I remember i did this on a old LCD monitor and it worked, but i really wouldn't suggest apply any pressure on s4 screen. They're lots of reports of broken amoled under the glass. So doesn't sound like a good idea. Better to have it replaced for free than to bring it back with broken screen and to be charged for that.
Ok. Thanks everyone. Will go to service center in a day or two to get it replaced.

It'seems unusual to find scratches like those in pics. I would simply return it no point keeping it.
It seems like pressure points but to an extreme extent. I would probably just return it and get a new one if you can.

I think it should be clear to you now it's not something you find on a new handset. Simply return it no big deal.
Did you pressed hard on those location?
But yes for whatever reason it may be ill just go back to your supplier and get it ask for warranty.

I've had this problem with the s6 edge plus. I can only see it in the sunlight. I think its underneath the screen. It's not a big deal just use a dark theme.
