Hi all,
is there any software that allows my trinity to swtich off and on at specific time and date? or even to put it in standby mode... my purpose is to drastically reduce the battery consumption during night hours.
Thanks.
Bye
hi everybody, I use my s4 everyday and sometimes my phone dies before getting home. The main battery drainer is of course the screen, so I noticed that the new Galaxy S5 has a new feature, the ultra power saving mode, which above the other things set the display rendering to grayscale, which can be very useful in terms of battery life in an AMOLED screen as far as I know. I think it would be nice if there would be something like that on the S4 though, the display colours are great but sometimes you just don't need them, and they only drain precious life juice from our phone... Is there something like that for the S4? I'm not looking for something which turns itself on automatically when battery is low, I'm fine with a manual application (maybe a switch on a widget)... is there anything like that? Is it really convenient for the battery?

You can find the ported power saving mode from the S5 here:

Or there are apps that provide similar functionality below:

or

Try C.F.lumen by chainfire. Turns everything greyscale, not just the launcher. Tried it so far, it seems to save some juice, but havent done any scientific testing so hard to say for sure

I switched my Galaxy S5 (SM-900M ... NG3 july kernel stock ROM) to Power Saving Mode (not Ultra Power Saving Mode). Despite the default internet browsing being laggy even when doing simple tasks as scrolling Facebook, I don't see any noticeable gain in battery life. What's wrong with my phone? :crying:
Power saving isn't meant to be used while playing the internet....

Did you Restrict Background data, Restrict Performance and turned on gray scale mod in Power saving mode?

I selected every available option. The Power Saving Mode is very frustrating. I definately would like it to make my limited 4G experience a little bit longe on the S5. Power Saving Mode on a mobile device should be able to make your online time much longer...

No, it won`t. It extends batterylife when the phone is in idle mode so you can use the phone for a longer period
Hey there from France,
I have a quick question for you all S edge+ owners.
Very happy with it, but I'd like to tweak some battery saving features. In that respect, what does the regular (not "Ultra") Battery Saving mode exactly do once tunred on?
There is a brief description of course, but I was wondering if it does such stuff as "limit background data", or resorts to location pinging less often, other than the basic "reduce CPU".
Thanks in advance !
well
When i turn on the battery saver, my phone has some lag issues and the brightness turn into lowest, but it seems that the battery is not improve.
Hey there, just wondering if I switch to wqhd do I need the phone to learn my usages again or adjust to the new screen resolution to get better battery life again
How can we make the device re-learn our usage habits?
No just put apps to sleep that don't have to run, turn off background data for.those that don't have to use it. Use your phone in medium power configuration and you're gonna get good battery life
