Hold on there,
- When you unplug your device and press & hold Power it does NOT turn on? and still just black screen?
- Only Turns on straight to EDL when you plug it in using your PC/Laptop
if both are correct you better off, doing a RMA, why that's my final answer?, cuz i had the same problem and couldn't fix it and there's NO tool yet to fix for this type of brick.
Sorry pal,

It would be beneficial to know what steps lead up to this failure.
I'm considering importing this phone and to RMA could be quiet costly (delivery costs).

I said there was a failure when it was updating software I got soft brick but no unlock bootloader they pay for shipping read the warranty passport 2.0 when you have a chance but short info it has to meet warranty criteria and if it's repairs you have to pay for repair cost if you Dont want to pay for repair cost they will send it back the way they received it. It take about two weeks for the process and they're in Dallas tx.

Hi, my screen doesn't seems to work. I wanted to downgrade from Nougat, so i flashed oeminfo and then rebooted and installed b130 l-21 firmware. Installation reached 100% but then it tell an error and i there was just a button to reboot, so i pressed it and after that, black screen. Charging led not working too. By the way, i don't know why, but my phone is booting only in fastboot mode, even if i force reboot by holding power button, the device is rebooting in fastboot. I re-unlocked the bootloader and then tried to flash b160, but it seems like it din't flash nothing, because when i type "fastboot getvar rescue_phoneinfo" it says that i'm on B130. Any idea?
Edit: DC-Phoenix unlocker says that "battery state: 0" is this ok?

Oh, yea, i finally got my device working again without using warranty, but i had to pay 15€ for the DC-Phoenix flash service. With that service i could flash any file that is into an .app instead of just flash system, boot and recovery with classic fastboot method. So i downloaded b161, flashed it and my screen came back again!
I can't seem to get anywhere with ADB. ADB won't list the device, and obviously it won't take any commands. I've tried just about everything I could think of.
It was booted up the other day, but unfortunately I let it die, and now I can't get it to boot again.
Just need to recover some files on the phone and call it a day.
Any ideas?
what variant? if you have fastboot access hold vol_ and plug in and it will load the bootloader then type fastboot reboot and it will boot to the system
Fast boot worked for me, Also worked for my girlfriends g5 like me2151 said , also I did power button replacement on both devices its really easy if you want to do it.

Nope, no root.
Reviving thread with an answer (at least for the H910). Plugging the power cable in powers the phone on, but it normally powers off a minute later if you leave it plugged in. If you unplug it after it wakes up the phone will continue to boot and power up normally.
well phone was ta 1000 and i have installed december ota of mena region
when i started rolling ta 1025 it stopped then shut down
the only way i can make phone do something is high volume and power then it goes to no command for split second and shut down again
any idea?
i have uploaded a video of the problem : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuIW1xlTH-4
problem fixed with this method :
you need to try to go emergency mode. Try this:

and firmware (Old, Custom):

It seems you corrupted aboot partition. If sbl is still from Nougat you can try entering download mode with EDL cable (or do a makeshift EDL cable with tin foil). I bought the Axon 7 Mini B14 a few days ago and installed a custom Rom without backing up the original, worst mistake I won't recommend making, so I thought this zip from zteusa site may help resolve the issue, but now my phone says its corrupted and it needs to reset but would instead reboot. I would try to go to recovery by the Vol up+Power button but i would only get a white screen. Is there a fix, or do I need to replace the motherboard?
Let me rephrase this, my phone wont boot to fastboot mode, and wont allow me to use adb. Is there a way I could fix this? Upon further inspection there is a recovery, but its a white screen but I still can't use adb or fastboot

Hej there,
I just bought a ZTE Axon 7 Mini and did a lot of stupid things...
1. try to flash TWRP with Android 6 (doesn't work)
2. update to 7.1.1 from here via adb sideload
3. install TWRP from here
4. reboot the phone - the phone only turned on in recovery-mode
5. try to flash the update again via adb sideload
and then nothing I think it's bricked
First I thought it doesn't turn on - but the cellphone is on, it vibrates all the time like a little heartbeat - tocktock, tocktock, tocktock...
Now if I press Vol+ AND Vol- for seconds, it will stop the vibrations, but when I press any other button or put it onto power it will start again to vibrate, but doesn't turn on.
Can anyone help me please?
My Axon 7 mini is back in life... How does it get there?
Buy a EDL-Cable
Get phone in EDL/TWRP
Flash Stock-Recovery
In Stock-Recovery make a factory-reset
Flash Stock-ROM via EDL
Install Magisk v16.7 via TWRP (newer version doesn't work for me)

I got a replacement device from OP and I was unlocking the bootloader and rooting it. The guide i used had the incorrect patched boot image and everything went bad quick.
I can't go anywhere except fastboot now, can't boot to OS, no OS installed.
TWRP WAS booting from fastboot, I pushed the rom from there and flashed it...said no OS installed after, I installed it on both slots.
I can't get into EDL mode, the volume keys work...I think, but the second I let go of them when it's plugged in it defaults back to fastboot immediately. I tried the bat file that people use, says it worked, phone stays in fastboot.
I even tried holding the volume keys the entire time but the MSM tool wouldn't read it enough to flash anything, although it did read it enough to register some data, but was stuck on "waiting for device".
I am in need of some major help. Now I can't even temp boot to twrp, getting an error failed authorization. I'm afraid I really messed things up.
I have 5 days to send my old device back. Please help!
May be a longshot, but does the stock recovery work? Maybe try sideloading the full OTA zip from there?
Sent from my IN2025 using Tapatalk
For EDL mode, you need to hold the buttons then plug it in while continuing to hold the buttons. It won't work if the phone is already plugged into a usb port and then you try and get into EDL.
Really hard to brick a OnePlus device in my experience.

I was doing just that. It seemed to work initially but after I plugged it in and released the buttons it went back to fastboot and disconnected from MSM.
Make sure MSM is ready keep vol up/down pressed, connect cable and immediately press Start in the tool. Have done it like this 3-4 times with my Pro
