Just obtained from ebay T-Mobile PPC Rom Ver: 3.08.10 ENG, Rom Date: 07/11/02, Radio Ver: 6.02, Protocal Ver: 324e4, CPU: ARMSA11110, Model: PW10B1, came with no sim card. Looking to unlock, which would best to use from here. Also how do it find what Bootloader version is on it and where or not the PPC2002 version I have is modem capiable?
to unlock, download the xda unlock tool from www.xda-developers.com/XDAunlock/ and run it on your xda.
the modem s/w is named wmodem.exe and you should find its link under programs.
good luck ...
opps! ... you can get the boorloader screen by pressing soft reset while pressing and holding the power button.
XDAunlock .exe
Ran this and got the following: error getting unlock code. What would cause this?
Could this be that this does not have a modem.
Or maybe this is the problem:

enterbl.exe
hi guys, I am new here. I have recently bought an O2i on ebay
ROM version: 1.10.00 WWE
ROM date: 12/24/04
Radio version: 1.00.00
PROTOCOL VERSION: 1337.39
ExtROM version: 1.10.124 WWE
I have been reading the forum for a while trying to look for the unlock software. I know some guys here have worked hard and created unlocks for the O2 model. I have tried that on mine and didnt work (I know but I had to try).
Anyway I have downloaded the enterBL.exe from here and tried it out and now I could not get out of the Boot Loader mode. I have tried hard and soft reset but no luck.
Could any1 please help.
Cheers
got out of enterbl.exe
Hey Braynard, I got mine out of the "bootloader mode" by following the version upgrade without actually upgrading and got my xda working again, thanks to the guys in here.... and now searching for the unlocking software....
cheers
meaning you ran Himalaya Upgrade without an *.nbf??? this works???
but what if i was in the middle of the desert (as i am now) without a computer (just my PPC), how do i get out of bootloader mode?
bootloader mode
I am no expert in this but I downloaded enterbl.exe from here then executed it and got mine in that frustating state. If you are in the desert then I can only suggest to do a Hard Reset if you havent done it already. How did you get in that state from the start anyway?
well, i got into that mess when i was flashing my Qtek2020 with the 1.60a64. i don't know why but the upgrade always stopped at 39% (i forgot the error message).
so i tried soft/hard resetting to no avail -- even tried removing the battery for 30 minutes.
i got out of bootloader mode after i got another copy of the HimalayaUpgradeUT.exe and continued the upgrade.
btw, i am really in the middle of a desert -- i am in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
send "set 14 0" command via usb console, then soft
this is what RUU.dll!BackCEMode() function sends to bootloader

Problems downgrading

Hi all...with the Wiki pages on the blink, I apologise if my questions and problems seem somewhat trivial...
I have a T-Mobile HTC Hero:
firmware: 1.5
s/w: 1.0.0.A6288
Kernel: 2.6.27-0078c992 [email protected] #821
Baseland: 63.18.55.06FU_6.35.07.08
Build: 2.73.110.91 CL#154725 release-keys
Looking to update to the custom ROMs on here, I am having problems...
I am unable to flash a recovery image, and have discovered I need to downgrade using an RUU...is this correct? Does anybody know which RUU I need to use?
I am unable to use the RUU's I have found, as they say there is no connection between the phone and PC...but all the right drivers are installed and HTC Sync works just fine...any ideas? It's error 170 - USB connection error.
Any help would be great!
Cheers,
Colin
it is the drivers. They should be MY HTC. Put your phone into bootloader also, by pressing Home + Back button + Power button at the same time. Plug in to PC and check driver is My HTC, if different RUU won't work.

Flashing ROM / Samsung Update tool Failure

I finally got my JIG and was able to put the phone in the DOWNLOAD mode.
1) After that I tried to update my faulty bootloader (4.10.1.9) using the guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1019112 but I got stuck with the message "CONFIRM PHONE MODEL" !!
2) Then I tried flashing the ROM "I8700 XEN I8700XENJK1" and subsequently "I8700XXKC1_XXKB2" (using all 4 files - csc,eb0,nb0,bin) but got the same error.
(I had installed the Samsung drivers - "I8700_Samsung_Mobile_USB_Driver_V5.2__V1.2.1050.0") before doing the above mentioned steps.
3) Next I tried to use the Samsung update tool "Device_Update_Support_Tool_for_OMNIA7_KC3_Ver1.2" and it detected the phone correctly but after clicking START, it stopped at 12% with the error "SLDR WRITE FLASH Failed".
So for me even after putting the phone in the DOWNLOAD mode using he JIG, it am unable to overwrite my faulty bootloader.
My Phone Info:
OS Version: 7.0.7390.0
Firmware revision number: 0222.10.10.6
Radio software version: 2424.10.10.6
Bootloader version: 4.10.1.9
Carrier: Orange (Switzerland)
By the way, my wife has the same phone from Orange and I have tried the same steps with her phone and it had the same errors reported.
So it looks like all the SAMSUNG OMNIA 7 phones from Orange Switzerland may have issues !!
Any help would be appreciated.

I had this as well when I didn't put the phone in download mode by mistake
after I was in download mode, flashing my device went without any errors

Had the exacly same issue (sldr write flash failed, stuck at 13%). Bootloader 4.10.1.9. I wanted to execute the Device_Update_Support_Tool_for_OMNIA7_KC3_Ver1.2 to update to latest WP7 version. I tried on another computer and it worked.

[Q] Omnia 7 updating - Where to start?

Hi. This will most definitely sound noob, but I have to ask in order to upgrade my omnia 7 8GB:
I bought my Omnia 7 a week ago, in Serbia and it is (apparently) "taken" from the Hungarian T Mobile (the logo screen is there) but it is carrier unlocked because I can put any SIM card and it works. At first there were problems like not displaying the sms and e-mail messages, and when I changed the "System locale" language and stuff it couldn't connect to the internet via Internet Explorer (I left it to Hungarian, so now it does). i also did the "Reset your phone" option in the settings -> about menu and the SMS and E-mails are now fine, BUT, I don't understand how to wake up the phone when it's on standby because sometimes the only way to wake it is by pressing the power button (at first I thought the WINDOWS button was non-responsive, but I was wrong). I even tried the download screen and hard reset screen (combo of keys) and while the Download mode is O.K. (I guess 'cos it displays the triangle screen) the Hard REST SCREEN seems to be faulty because it lasts only for a half a second and then the phone restarts without even letting me choose whether to reset or not?!?!
I still haven't even connected it to Zune. I've downloaded the MS Windos Phone Dev tools (the 400 MB package) on Windows 7, but waht to do next.
I also don't understand entirely what is 'firmware', what is 'ROM' (i know in other devices that the firmware is something like BIOS, but ROM can also be some oprating system, right?) and 'CSC (I know it has to do with the country selection) and which update contains what, and so on> I mean I've read the forums and I know what is to developer-unlock and carrier-unlock (sorta), and I'm getting along with OSes since the ZX Spectrum's basic - upto Ipad's iOS4, but I don't know what to do. I want to developer unlock it, to update to NoDo, or even Mango, and to try to sideload homebrew apps WITHOUT relocking and WITHOUT BRanding it (or carriel-lock it). Because the firmware and all are pretty old, what should I do first: flash the phone, or update via Zune or do the Chevron or something else 'cos I'm afraid if it can't be upgraded or if there may be some issues. PLEASE HELP and sorry 2 bother U guys
Thanx in advance
My firmware and everything is pretty old from what I've seen so far:
OS version: 7.0.7004.0
Firmware revision number: 2424.10.10.4
Hardware revision number: 3.15.0.4
Radio software version: 2424.10.10.3
Radio hardware version: 0.0.0.800
Bootloader version: 4.10.1.2 (this is pretty old, right?)
Chip SOC version: 0.36.2.0
and the Diagnosis data:
Diagnosis (ver.0929)
PDA: I8700XXJJ4
Phone: I8700XXJJ3
CSC: I8700TMHJJ4 (NOTE: the TMH isn't mentioned anywhere on the web but I think it's TMobile HU)

Bluetooth H/W: 0.01
Bluetooth MAC: bla bla bla
Wi-Fi S/W: 1.0
Wi-Fi H/W: 1.0
Wi-Fi MAC: bla bla bla
O.K. So I couldn't wait and unlocked the phone with Chevron. It worked O.K. and Zune installed the update 7008. After that I even deployed a .xap (it worked ). When I tried to deploy again it started O.K. but then it said something like "The port to comunicate is not a socket" or smt like that. Then, I noticed that Zune warned me that another update was ready (the 7392) and started and went well until the last step when it said "update fail, error code 801812dd". I googled and found that that may be because of the USB cable / port (I have the original cable). So I connected the phone to a USB port at the back of my PC, but Zune doesn't recognise any updateds any more? What should I do? Thanx in advance
Well, I figured it out. I DID IT, I installed the 7392 update. It works like a charm. It even updated my bootloader and what not. Thanx guys, you're awesome, but mostly thank to those who tried to explain the stuff in a more simple manner, for us, the beginners.
