You don't get your imei lost. Just after all, flash correct Modem for your device (if your device has Kenzo hardware, flash Kenzo modem and if have Kate hardware, flash Kate modem) and you will get phone capabilities working fine! Only way to lost in fact IMEI and Mac addresses is erasing EFS (modemst1 and modemst2 partitions). In other cases, IMEI show 0000000 because incorrect modem are flashed on it.
You can try it by youself. If you have Kenzo, convert it to Kate then flash Kenzo modem and you will get phone working fine.

With QFIL the imei is erased...and no, the phone don't working for calling. Tested many times in this days we need to investigate about this "modem" on kate for understand if is different from Kenzo modem...

Already tried to restore EFS and modem partitions in TWRP from a backup or restore from QCN backup? I tried to restore Kate QCN in Kenzo and I lost IMEI and my radio don't turn on with Kenzo modem. I flashed Kate modem and get IMEI but NO SIM CARD, then I booted in TWRP, restored my full backup and I got back IMEI and all things and when I boot into Android, my QCN back to Kenzo without restore Kenzo QCN backup.

I' m confused, my tests:
- Converted kenzo to kate and the modem don't turn on;
- reflashed modem from kenzo and modem don't turn on too.
But if i convert kenzo to kate i want band20 of kate, reflashing kenzo modem is useless (for me) because i want the unlocked bands.

Try this. Convert device to Kate. Restore Kenzo QCN and flash Kenzo modem. This will work and you can turn radio on but no Band20 at all. If you want to unlock Band20, I think it's a waste of time, because I think Kenzo Modem don't support Band20. Kate Modem Hardware is not same from Kenzo, unfortunately.

I got this because I have 2 Kate devices here. And Idk why, one comes with 5.1.1 ROM from VENDOR!!!! Vendor flashed 5.1.1 bloated ROM and shipped it! When I put SIM Card, radio don't turn ON NEVER! Then I have the idea to unlock bootloader unofficially and flash Kate MODEM to test and BOOOM, got Radio ON and SIM CARD works with calls and mobile data! After it, I downloaded 6.0.1 Kenzo ROM, flashed it (to avoid MiFlash fail when flashing directly Kate ROM, due to different system partition size and get a hardbrick without fastboot mode access), then downloaded 6.0.1 Kate ROM, flashed it (This will get 2 errors in MiFlash after complete successfull flash but as you already in 6.0.1 from Kenzo, you can reboot it and get fastboot mode working!) and got device completelly back to Kate!

What is kenzo and kate?

What is the use of this conversion? Can you use all kenzo ROMs on kate (after converting kate into kenzo) without modifications?
Sent from my ASUS_T00J using Tapatalk

I don't think so,.you must mix roms to have the same result... i think probability of brik device is very high and results are mixed... this metod will work as soon as xiaomi patch rom to avoid such modification...

I want to flash this rom or really any rom on my Redmi 2 that has play store bundled with it. I however want to flash x rom without the modem drivers, as that resulted on a no baseband and missing IMEI the last time, Can I delete the modem drivers of any rom and flash it? or not advised?

Please verify that you are not installing the 2014813 rom. That's what might cause invalid baseband and IMEI as they are not designed for the 2014811/2014819

That is what happened to the phone. A friend bought it and flashed it to 2014813. After a lengthy time of Google I found a solution how to change IMEI with a hex editor again. I just heard rumors that a international version might do the same again.

Bricked Phone, a very mysterious case...

This is the brief history of the mysterious case of my phone: a Redmi note 3 pro oficially unlocked bootloader.
The first ROM that I flashed was the AOSP 5.1.1 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (kenzo)
The phone was a delight with this ROM; a rocket. And so I had it several months.
One day I see that there is a new ROM with very good appearance and assessments; and installed [ROM][Slim][6.0.1][AOSP_r61][Slim 6 For Kenzo].
Another super ROM, like a rocket. I had it a couple of months and, as it had no support for 4G, I decide to return to the AOSP 5.1.1 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (kenzo). I had a backup, fortunately.
I install the backup of the AOSP 5.1.1 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (kenzo) and... everything works well, except SIM. I do not have telephone connection.
I install it from zero and... everything works well, except SIM. I do not have telephone connection.
Of course, when installing the [ROM][Slim][6.0.1][AOSP_r61][Slim 6 For Kenzo], I had to install CM13 Radio. That must have deleted the baseband to AOSP 5.1.
No problem.
I flash a ROM MIUI to get the baseband of android 5.1 y...Boootloop.
The phone enters bootloop and does not pass the logo of MIUI.
I have tried everything what I have found in this forum and in that of MIUI to recover the phone.
In the end, the phone was a brick with the logo of miui on my desktop.
I remember my only backup of AOSP 5.1.1 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (kenzo) and everything works again. Reset to factory data from ROM retrieved from the backup and...everything works well, less the SIM. I do not have telephone connection.
No matter which ROM I install, everything works fine, less the SIM. With the exception of the MIUI ROMs, with those remains in bootloop in the logo.
My phone works but only with the backup of AOSP 5.1.1 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (kenzo).
Any idea?... any advice?...i do not know what to do...

ok.
your phone works well ,but no radio singal right ?
no baseband ?
no imei ?
Any EFS backups available? I'd start from there, another option is flashing through EDL mode the stock MIUI ROM. That should restore the device's functionality.

Flash, then put the device in Flashboot mode, then use the MiUnlock tool. It should boot.

I have been doing tests while you were answering.
Bootloader always unlocked.
Clean Flash of rom aosp 5.1: all ok.
I believe that the solution has been to use these drivers that are in the folder of the first ROM: QDLoader HS-USB Driver_64bit_Setup
The phone was recognized with other drivers before.
@micro77, thank you very much for all. I had spent many hours trying so many things. Even, I dismounted the telephone.
Thank you again.

download the file i shared earlier on NON-HLOS.bin and replace it with the copy in your stock firmware and QFIL again, that's what I did earlier on to regain my mobile signal.

VoLTE Fix For Problems On Custom & Stock Roms [Z2 Plus]

Volte or Voice Over LTE is a feature of LTE(4G) networks which allows the voice and sms to be carried over the mobile network just as data packets unlike older networks which requires a dedicated voice channel.
It needs to be supported by both the carrier and the device to work.
Jio is an Indian Mobile Carrier with solely uses Volte for calling and messaging
In case of our device (Z2Plus) the efs partition contains all details of the modem including the right configuration for using volte and also mac addresses of bluetooth and wifi. Only stock rom has exclusive rights to modify some parts of it.
Custom roms dont tamper with it as it also contains the valuable imei and mac addresses info which needs to be preserved.
If the efs partition is somehow corruped then the phone would be unable to connect to any kind of network
As efs partition contains the volte details and cant be edited by custom roms so it has be carried over from stock rom after volte details are lodged into it. The efs partition if doesnt contain the volte details from stock rom will not give any volte details to the custom rom making volte unable to work on custom roms
So for making volte work you have to first use volte on stock and then move to custom so that the details are carried over
If you have your TWRP efs backup from your phone when volte was working then restoring it might help in regaining the volte functionality on custom roms.
For restoring stock rom of 7.0 nougat follow this guide(recommended) https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...lenovo-zuk-z2-plus-2132-indian-t3678826/page5
If volte doesnt comeback even after installation of qpst stock rom then you need a baseband update on your stock rom, Boot to fastboot mode & then follow this guide. Use the pc tool to flash baseband.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-zuk-z2/how-to/lenovo-z2-plus-zuk-z2-plus-baseband-t3713109
Some users claim that flashing a stockrom throught twrp also works but I have not tested it. If you wanna try this simpler method use this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...xed-z2-plus-nougat-2-5-334-st-t3594483/page55
Also remember if you mess up with your efs partition it would not be repaired by just flashing stock rom!
Is you have somehow messed up with your efs partition(eg. Restoring efs from another z2 plus) then here is the guide to repair it https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...de-restore-lost-imeis-repair-network-t3635734 always remember to take backup of efs partition in recovery

Hi, i am unable to make calls only to Jio numbers. It says "call ended". I'm using AEX Oreo 8.1.
I'm pretty much a noob, so please explain in simpler terms.
Thanks in advance!

U r asking the network ??? Ok for this flash the zui2.5 firmware through twrp , it would lock your phone's bootloader ,then unlock your phone bootloader with two commands the 1.the unlock bootloader one and 2.the oem unlock one and then Ur phone will boot to twrp ( Ur data and everything will be safe n Ur ROM will be as it was earlier). Now boot to Ur ROM and then again to down the phone unlocking commands here.
1.fastboot -i 0x2b4c flash unlock unlock_bootloader.img (This the first command)
2.fastboot -i 0x2b4c oem unlock-go (second one)
Pls do find out the Indian firmware on XDA it is easier to find,(2.5 firmware, which is twrp flashable)
Also the reset modem commands.
Thnx.

Qfil is different method and the one that I have told u is different method. Remember her that stock zui2.5 firmware only contain the modem partitions , which means it is not the ROM. It's size is around only 25MB or something like this.

Try to flash the firmware of your choice for X720.
Otherwise flash a fastboot ROM via All in one tool
