[Q] SM-G900H imei turned to 0049

I've bought SM-G900H from China. A different firmware was running (G900HXXU1ANCG) and when I turned it on, it said "NO SERVICE AVAILABLE". Therefore I tried to update firmware, and being an Android noob, I have no backups of EFS. Now my phone have 0049xx generic imei. I've tried some stock ROM's with different CSC's but no luck. Also I couldn't find original stock rom (G900HXXU1ANCG), and when I googled it I just find Chinese sites.
My questions are:
1) How a firmware update flushes my IMEI? (I think it is written somewhere inside my device, but Android firmware could not read it?)
2) Is it possible to recover my imei with some other G900H firmware?
3) Is it possible for me to recover my imei if I can find G900HXXU1ANCG firmware?
4) If no firmware helps me out to recover my imei, is it possible to repair it?

Also, my device S/N in battery bay is not verified by Kies3. But Phone INFO app recognizes as April 2014 made in China.

I found it in a chinese site but it need registration with a landline number in china, so I couldn't download it.
Can I flash another firmware that will repair the phone?

Null / null imei, unknow baseband

Hi, my phone is i9505, i have null imei and unknow baseband. I
was on 5.0.1 when i buyed, my misstake i dont verify the imei if is broke or not. Imei was /01
After that i flashed 4.4.2 ([email protected] with Modem_GNK2_FULL.tar and Bootloader_GNK2.tar) in hope imei will restore but neeh...., i dont have efs folder. Now imei show me null / null.
I have any chance to get imei back to use cellular network? If YES, are you kindly to give me step by step guide with download links?

Flash a lollipop modem. Then you get your imei back.

Hi,
You might search for a modem that from your region code. If you don't know your region code, unfortunately you should go to Samsung Service Center as you didn't have any EFS backup.

Phone (i belive was buyed in Germany), his build inside is LRX22C.i9505XXUHOB7. I need to flash modem for this build or modem from network where i live? I`m not in Germany.
Some download links please if you kindly.

Flash modem from the region where the phone was bought. Since I couldn't find the package that only contains modem, you should download a full firmware. Grab it one from SamMobile or Samsung Updates.

It really has nothing to do with a modem with your region code.
You can use any modem it really doesn't matter.
Try flashing a stock lollipop firmware.

Well, let me explain more.
1- This phone was with stock I9505XXUHOB7 5.0.1 and IMEI was / 01, after that i flash [email protected] 4.4.2
1.1- I dont know if i can come back from stock 5.0.1 to stock 4.4.2, can you tell me if i can? I was afraid and i tryed with that repack rom.
After that IMEI was null/null with unknow baseband.
2- so i flash again that stock 5.0.1 and i have IMEI null/null with a working baseband.
Advices?

i flashed lollipope to my i9500 then i returned to 4.4 after that i flashed custom rom the result is i got nul imei and when i flashed lollipop modem i only got generic imei.
log time a go i backuped my efs partition to my PC but loose it i dont know how.
now my situation is : generic imei. no gsm network.
any solution please.
Nb : i have another working s4 i9500

Unfortunately, you both should bring your phone to Samsung Service Center for IMEI restoration.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Flyme Os 2014811 question

I want to flash this rom or really any rom on my Redmi 2 that has play store bundled with it. I however want to flash x rom without the modem drivers, as that resulted on a no baseband and missing IMEI the last time, Can I delete the modem drivers of any rom and flash it? or not advised?

Please verify that you are not installing the 2014813 rom. That's what might cause invalid baseband and IMEI as they are not designed for the 2014811/2014819

That is what happened to the phone. A friend bought it and flashed it to 2014813. After a lengthy time of Google I found a solution how to change IMEI with a hex editor again. I just heard rumors that a international version might do the same again.

Does the phone show the correct imei when you dial *#06#?

Nope..... imei is incorrect...baseband also wrong...bro...new rom can't repair...

Restore your backed up EFS folder .

Was the phone new or used? You confirmed the model # in download mode?

yes bro ... in download mode SM-N9006 and
i was brought form china ...
But now i have a original Pit file and i don't know how does it work .
Can pit helps this case....

Had the same problem with a Galaxy Note 1. It's a hardware fault, you need to take it to service, no software flashing is going to fix it.

Imei issue since downgrade of yureka plus

Hi there I have downgraded my ROM n soft bricked it. But after unbrick imei was lost so I used qfs tool to feed the imei and it worked but since then I can't use any marshmallow or lollipop ROM on my phone and even if I install it my imei get changed to 1234567123. N even if I repair the imei still I can't use volte. Even after flashing modem n using patches. Any idea what might b issue n what will b solution for it . thanks in advance
