pit file for verizon galaxy s7 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

Alright I was wondering if some kind person could post the pit file for the verizon galaxy s7. This is what happened. I flashed the g930u files with odin and everything worked fine with root and debloated rom. Then, I wiped cache and wiped data factory reset and flashed the t-mobile rom, and it worked. But hear is where the problems began. I tried to flash back both the verizon rom, and the 930u unlocked rom, and they wouldn't flash using the PrinceComsy odin or any other odin for that matter. So, I said, well I'm stuck and flashed the t-mobile rom again, part by part, because when I tried the whole thing, it wouldn't flash either. Then at reboot, nothing. So, I flashed the pit file with the t-mobile rom, and the whole thing flashed in one wop, but still after boot, nothing. I used the pit file because I read in another guide it would get a t-mobile device back up when flashing it with the t-mobile rom, and no other rom would flash. So, I guess my last hope is that someone will have the verizon pit file or the original verizon rom.tar.md5 not one with out the pit file. If this doesn't work, I think I'm screwed. Please post it if you have it or if some one could pull it from there device.
Thanks

got it all working but on t-mobile
Alright, got everything working, but I want to share the final result. Flashed t-mobile pit file. Then flashed full t-mobile rom and pit file together. Of course wiped data and cache before doing any of this. Now just like a t-mobile phone, including band 12 and wifi calling. Can not flash back to verizon though, with out pit file, just for anyone else that wants to try this. I don't have another verizon phone to gather the pit file from, so, t-mobile is fine especially with unlimited data.

bootlooping sucks.....

Ok so now I have a brand new S4. Came in the mail yesterday. So I rooted it. No problem...... went to add a custom rom. (Sacs custom rom to be exact) reboots ok. Galaxy S4 screen. Then the custom rom screen and it stays there........ phone gets extremely hot. I went into recovery. Wiped data. Wiped cache. Wiped dalvik cache. Nothing. So I says ok, forget it. I'm going to Just take the root off and go back to stock firmware. Odin fails to unroot every time. I get Fail (Auth). I downloaded the right tar files to unroot. I even deleted them and re downloaded them. Same results. I'm going crazy because I just got this phone and I can't use it. Any help on what I'm doing wrong? Mind you I've been rooting for years and I've never had this problem before. Also it's a newer S4 that has the Sprint Spark screen. Anything would help. Thanks

sph-l720t?? I've heard conflicting reports about compatibility with custom sph-l720 ROMs and spark capable sph-l720t. Best case scenario is you get it to boot, I doubt you will have working Spark functionality, however.
With the galaxy s4 TW custom ROMs you need to reboot recovery after doing your wipes and before flashing your ROM. Also, IIRC, it is best to boot to download mode from fully powered off (maybe even recovery, but I've never needed to do so).
It is also best to be on the newest custom recoveries, like twrp 2.7.0.1 and latest philz (6.25?? not sure on this one)
The steps should look like this.
1 - boot to recovery and do all your wipes.
2 - reboot recovery
3 - flash rom
3.1 wipe dalvik and cache
4 - Boot and let it settle, if you are stuck on the splash screen for longer than 10 minutes chances are it is not going to boot.
Holler back and let us know.

If Odin fails then you DID download the wrong tar file. Since you said you just got your phone then you need to know what version you have, there are 2: the L720 & the L720T. If your phone was brand new when you bought it than most likely it is the L720T and none of the roms on this site are compatible with your phone. Some of them will work but you will loose features or have to take extra steps to get the rom working. Once you know which phone you have, you will need to download the correct tar file. If you do have the L720 than the only tar file that will get your phone up and working is the full NAE tar. If you have the L720T then you will need the NC6 ful tar. Any older tar files will fail.

You can download the NAE tar file from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663619
You should use Odin 3.07 or 3.09 to install. Make sure you run Odin in administrator mode.

Awesome, dude. Very happy to hear that.
tar files
Where can I get the NC6 tar file. I have the SPH720T , I rooted it fine, then tried to get the native tether to work and now my phone starts up and then gets stuck on the Sprint Sparks screen, I've tried 4 different tar files and all fail. I'm using Odin 3.9

Can't restore G930P Firmware

Ok so here's my issue
For a very long time since the G930U firmware was available to install, I've been using that. Well I decided to want to get my phone unlocked for GSM using those services but it needs Stock Firmware.
So I tried to restore to the latest G930P firmware and ODIN is giving a Volume size error for the system.img.ex4. I've tried now a couple different firmwares and no luck. Any idea?
The latest Firmware is PH7 I don't recommend it. PG1 on down are good to go. Extract zip stock firmware to a folder and add it in to Odin all the slots accordingly. BL AP CP CSC the last slot CSC is HOME_CSC not CSC_SPT and start flashing. It always works for me.
I ended up figuring it out. I had to find the stock G930P .PIT mapping's and re-partition because G930U ended up changing the sizes.
Oh good to know. Thank for sharing
Why do you not recommend PH7 update? I've heard it helps with battery life.
Could you share the pit file you used. I tried the same thing with a pit file i found online how ever since the pit i am able to flash bootloader but unable to flash system.ext4. Odin gives me a "failed (auth)" and neyjer the 930u version or the f2 or any of the other stock roms wont flash.... Help please
Don't you just love it when people "figure it out" and then don't share how? lol
Here... Since nobody gave you this. This may not be your problem.

[Firmware] G930TUVS4BQL2 (12/21/2017)

G930TUVS4BQL2_CL12142063_QB16000831_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta.tar.rar
Thanks. I will try it on my boot looped SM-G930T tonight.
First off, Thank you to muniz_ri for the zip.
I have a 930A (S7) running ATT firmware and having some issues every now and then running the ATT firmware on TMobile (my phone suddenly is not recognized by TMo and 4G data stops working. I have to switch the SIM card with another TMo user and switch back to my SIM and it starts working...).
I tried to load the previous version yesterday of the TMo firmware posted by muniz_ri (G930TUVS4BQJ2) and Odin (Prince) failed with a Write failure- some file was larger than could be written (ext4 fail). It then stuck at boot.
I was able to recover by flashing the ATT firmware back again.
Question- How do I get this latest TMo firmware onto the phone? Do I need to repartition or something?
Thanks for your time.

I figured I would try flashing the new software you have provided above, and maybe have better luck. But no, still same deal. I captured the log messages this time-
Odin stated-
system.img.ext4
FAIL! (ext4)
Complete (write) operation failed
On the phone, I see this-
Volume size is too big 1228800 < 1254400
ODIN: Invalid ext image
[18] eMMC write fail system
So, something is too big to be written into the existing partition, I guess.
It sounds like, reading through some posts, I need to use a PIT file and re-partition or something
Any ideas on how to approach this?
By the way, yesterday, I was able to get out of the boot loop by using Odin Prince Comsey to flash to G930AUCS4BQE1 (ATT firmware from june-2017)
Today, Prince comsey wouldn't work. It ended up at-
FAIL! Model dismatch fail
After some digging around, it seemed like Odin Prince Comsey is not to be used for Stock ROMs... tried with Odin 3.12.3 and that never got past "SetupConnection". Tried again with Odin 3.12.10 and that worked.
Anyway, back to the problem at hand.... I am at G930AUCS4BQE1 (ATT from June) and need to get to G930TUVS4BQL2 (TMo, December) or G930UUEU4BQJ5 (latest 930U).
Any pointers are greatly appreciated..
Thanks.
I believe flashing the csc file rather than the home_csc automatically reformats the partitions for the rom you are flashing. If it does not, you are correct that you need the pit file which is used to reformat partitions accordingly. The pit file for TMobile can be found around this forum.

Bootloop, tried everything you can think of!!

Updated my RiCE to 11.1 from 10.1, managed to get everything done however noticed my wifi calling had gone.
I ended up flashing a CSC file for H3G UK i downloaded from her, which has now got me stuck in the samsung bootloop, the CSC I should have used I didn't.
Tried to flash BL, using the spam start method then flashing TWRP via AP, but still cannot get into TWRP.
Anyone know if I have any other options?
I can not get out of the bootloop, all I can access is download mode.
Thanks

Good S5 dump to bad S5?

I have 2 identical 900V's and one is pooched. It wont get past black S5 screen, but can boot into download, recovery and even safe boot screens. I have flashed it back to 5.0 with ODIN, took the flash no errors, deleted cache, NAND, factory reset, everything I could do to get it to boot. even flashed the PIT with the OG PIT file found online. No other firmwares will flash except the 5.0 without an error. I have another 900V that is working (no SIM, not authorized on a network, just a wifi toy) and running 6.0.1. Can I dump the PIT file, and the firmware into a file and send it over to the frozen S5 via ODIN? It just wont get past the first screen no matter aht I do to it firmware wise.
