Hello,
I'm programming something and I have to access some ciphering related values stored in the NV items. I think I already came across a lot of threads talking about MSL/SPC "magic" methods but I believe this is not working anymore. Is there a an actual way to retrieve this code or the only one would be to call my service provider ?
Thanks.

I havent seen this posted on this site yet, so I thought I would add it. Cingular know gives you your PUK code through their OLAM. You no longer have to use "other" software to unlock it or wait 10 days for them to give you the PUK code.
unlocking
which tab is that under?...i cant seem to find it
OLAM = Online Account Manager.
It's in the Phone/Device section.
Thank you for the information. So we need not get the PUK code from the Network provider huh?
I am looking for the ## codes for the fascinate. I am sure that someone is able to find them. I have searched the web for hours and not found any that will work with the fascinate. I am only looking, because I am sure that just like my incredible I can change the IP settings and use the wifi tethering for free on the fascinate too.
I appreciate any and all help to get these codes.
Have you tried the codes that work on the international I9000, Samsung's first Galaxy S model?
Thanks for the link. I tried about half of those and none of them work. I think their must be a set of codes specific to the CDMA version.
I was able to get a few codes out of a verizon represenative, but not everything.
This code enables the ability to use the second code I got.
*#22745927
you then enter 000000 for the spc
and change to Hiddenmenu Enable and press ok.
the type **772
you then enter 000000 for the spc
This will enable you to manually program the NAM.
Now I just need the code to modify the network settings for the data portion of the phone.

Verizon told me to do *228 option 2 to re-sync roaming towers to get a better signal.
I have some questions regarding Verizon's AKey. I believe my Imagio needs an akey because VZW can't authenticate it. Please only reply if you are willing to help answer my questions.
1. Do All VZW devices use an akey to authenticate the phone on the network? I thought it was for data only. Up until a week ago I didn' even know there was such a thing.
2. In the ESPT (##778 ) settings is the akey field supposed to be blank because it is on my Vogue.
3. Is it correct the akey is 26 digits?
4. Is there a way that I can extract the akey from my Vogue. CDMA workshop 2.7 was no help. I did connect it to DFS & was able to read an akey. There are four fields in the Keys section on the General Tab which are DEC, akey, SSDA, SSDB. Next to the the DEC field there is CS field (check sum) which DFS didn't read.
DEC: 20 digit numeric number.
akey: 16 digit alpha numeric number.
If I do need the akey for my imagio to work on the network then I'll have #8899 like the nice female voice says & this should hopefully resolve my issue. GSM phone are so much easier to play with, just pop in the old sim card. in teh new phone.
Sorry for possible misinformation... my new phone does not use the same codes as the other F3...
After hours of waiting in hold with Virgin mobile I was able to finally get the codes that manually allow you to program your phone to virgin mobile. The code you need is ##031373# it allows you to enter your Mdn and msid. This way if their stupid auto progrm does not work you can still get it to work. you type it in the dialer window for those of you unfamiliar with VM programing.
Is there is a different code for each phone???... bought a new optimus F3 and found out that the code did not work but the code for my new phone is ##962544#
This is for the Virgin Mobile Models. if you want to factory reset you can use the code ##786#
And if for some reason you need to reset the auto program feture so that the next time you boot up it will try to program the phone you can use code ##72786##
Hi All,
Its me Fox,i am an old user in this forum where i get lots of help from here and the people here are really helpful.now a days im feeling a problem developing an app and i am writing it in details in below
The requirement of our mobile software:
1.
The target of the software is to gather some network info remotely avoiding any notification to the target mobile user and not installing any software in the target mobile.
Let me explain the idea in detail. First of all, we know that if we press *#06# then we can see the IMEI number of the set. So, there might be some secret way or code so that anybody can get the IMEI number of any mobile set with the help of just target mobile number.
That was just an example. However, there are some system of ping to check the reachability in IP network. In GSM network also there should be some secret code by which ping, trace route targeting a mobile number is possible. By these, the availability of the target can be confirmed. By the trace route result, we can obtain the path Of the pong reply or ping, present cell id. The individual cell ID also carries the name of the area in Unicode which is displayed in many sets optionally. That text may also be obtained from that. Actually, we want to do this by developing and installing an android software. In that car, we need to know the coding, programming language and special DLL or header that has to be called for this purpose.
2. Is there any way to call or search IMEI in any mobile network? Is it possible to find out the mobile number by inquiring with IMEI number from any mobile?
3. There is a way to configure a GSM modem with a cloned SIM may be so that the target mobile's all traffics including voice and SMS, may be data also. By default, all SIM's destination priority setting is 0. In the case, the modem has the higher priority so that at first the traffics reach there, modem software captures and records the traffic and then throws again to the target device. It's clear that here, the modem acts in transparent mode so that the target do not feel anything as well as it does not catch eyes of operators. We want to do this.
please i need a help on this badly,
