I recently received Omate Rise which i ordered last year December. Its been two weeks. This watch is good and handy.
Yesterday night i tried to install some applications from the Olink Mobile app. After that i disconnected it from mobile. Since today morning its touchscreen stopped working when i tried to stop Alarm. I had to forcefully switched of the watch. After that i put it on charging, the screen got changing automatically. At some point touch was working but not that responsive . After so many attempt its touch completely stopped working now. Its charging and i can see the Time also.
I really have no idea is it a software issue or Hardware. I am not able to do factory reset also and am not able to connect to Olink mobile app also.
i tried the steps in the below link but the download link to zip files are not working.

If anyone have any idea please share. It would be a great help.
Omate Rise ugly services
Ive received broken watch, after that Ive send it back to the omate office in HK, they promise me to refund the shipping back costs. As for now they received the parcel, they refuse to repair it and start the procedure of refund, the pay me on my paypal not the full amount as Ive pay on Indiegogo (the chose me to pay the 11.43 USD commision for this transaction) and refuse to refund me shipping back costs. Be aware of this scamers!!!

For no apparent reason on Saturday, my touchscreen decided to stop working. I was running the latest WWE iMate ROM, with the .10 Radio installed over the top.
I tried soft reseting a few times, with no luck - so moved onto a hard reset as well. That failed
Having seen someone post a link to a proper T Mobile download for the original ROM for the phone, I thought it best to try that. Unfortunately it doesn't fix the problem, but at least has put my phone back to a state where I can cheerfully give it to T Mobile and claim on the 12 month warranty.
I'm dropping it into my retail store today... but am disappointed it has only lasted 3 months before dying.
It hasn't been dropped, water damaged or anything like that - just simply gave up the ghost.
my touchscreen sporadically stops working (mda pro), but then will start again, if I rub the wider end of the Stylus across the screen quickly a few times.
I'm contemplating taking it back, let us know how you get on with T-Mobile.
Do t-mobile UK give a replacement unit?
Well mine's gone into the store today. Reckon I'll get something back from them by the end of the week. They reckon 5-7 days turnaround, but the phone won't even be sent offsite until tomorrow. (They have collections 2 or 3 times a week I think...)
Its a far cry from Orange where, with Orange Care, having stopped working Saturday, it would have been replaced on Sunday.
Luckily I still have my Orange C500, so I unlocked it, put an iMate ROM on it, and inserted my T Mobile SIM.
No question that it'll be repaired or replaced - but if you rely on the device, a week (or more!) is a long time to be without it...
Had I had the T Mobile equivalent of Orange Care, it wouldn't be sorted any quicker - so at least I can be happy I didn't waste my money with that.
I did try slightly flexing the screen and repeated tapping to try and get it to work again, but no joy. Perhaps the screen IS the weak link afterall, despite me religiously closing it up clamshell before putting in my pocket etc.
We were shipped 6 brand new XDA Exec’s by O2 when we renewed our contract.
When they arrived they already had on the latest Xda Exec System Software v1.30.162
They arrived last Thursday morning, by Friday afternoon we had 2 dead and by Monday morning the total was 3 dead. So O2 very nicely arranged to ship out another 6 to us, they arrived Wednesday morning. At 5pm last night 1 of them was dead!
During this time O2 technical customer services have been very helpful and are trying to reproduce the problem , I have had no problem with them at all
It needs to be noted that when they arrived they all worked.
While setting them up and testing them before deploying to our users I hit a few problems.
The first XDA was a full basic install and just locked up and would not respond to screen or keyboard input. When I did a soft reboot it would not load at all, you got the initial o2 logo screen with the ROM version numbers in the corner and that was it.
The second XDA again was a basic install but this time after a soft reboot it came back, but after a few minutes started to fail. All the Microsoft core applications like “word” worked fine, but the O2 applications like “hotspot” would not run and the other applications like “sim manager” would not work. They failed with a message and certificates being incorrect or files being missing. Basically it was unusable.
So I got my third XDA out of the cupboard late Friday afternoon and headed home.
Saturday morning I rang O2 technical customer services and found out how to do a corporate install and was told they had not heard of anyone else having these kind of problems and that we should get another 6 xda’s sent out and send the old 6 xda’s back.
So I did a hard reset with the corporate install much better and much faster, I put of doing a soft reset for as long as I could. On Monday morning I did a soft reset and things went wrong, after a few minutes the xda would lock up. I would do a hard reset and the xda would work fine until you did a soft reset. Then it to died like the first one did.
Then yesterday the first of the new batch of 6 died.
The last thing that was installed on each of them was the data transfer monitor the O2 ship via app update on xda.o2.co.uk
Has anyone seen or had problems like this with an XDA Exec?
Thanks.
Dead Exec
I have experienced similar problems since updating to the latest ROM, I have found that If I connect to an External power source the system reboots fine and remains fine for an indeterminate time 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week or more but completely unpredictable.
Corporate Install
How do you do a corporate install?
My pet bird died.
Hi, I have also had the same problems for about 2 months now, and the more i read into this its seams that it is a hardware not a software problem. And most people are lucky enough to have a new uni and can send it back on warrenty, sadly not mine.
with regards to the corporate instal. when u flash the new o2 rom and it loads up. you will get a screen with "personal mode" or "corporate mode"
click the corporate mode and enter 0506 as the axcess code.
hope this helps.
My newly purchased ZenWatch is set to have Always-On Screen but after 5 seconds it fades a little, then, shows the dimmed version for a second, then goes completely black so I can't see anything until I wake it again.
Wear version 5.0.1
Connecting to Android 4.4.4
This happens the same with any watch face I select: pre-installed or new custom ones. I have tried uninstalling Wear and ZenWatch Manager, resetting the watch and starting over again, same thing happens.
Could an app or watchface I have installed be interfering with the Always-On option somehow??
I don't know if this is related but I had to return my first watch as it didn't charge, so this is the second one connected to my phone (after 'forgetting' the first then pairing the new one).
When I click on the Always-On tick box on my phone, it immediately updates this option showing on the Watch so it's definitely sending the command to it. It shows as Always-On selected on the watch.
Has anyone else had this bug and know how to fix it? Thanks.

Thanks, no, cinema mode isn't on.
It's really curious, the screen fades slightly in brightness after five seconds, then goes to the dim version of the watch face, then goes completely black a second later. One tap brings it back so I'm it's like the regular off screen mode.

Hi,
I'm very curious to know if you have found a solution to this problem as my new ZenWatch is doing the exact same thing. Asus support has told me it's a firmware issue but that seem odd to me as the feature seems to work for others.

Oh thank you for telling me I'm not at least alone! No I haven't found a solution - I have reset the device, removed all the Wear apps one by one from the phone (in case a setting is interfering) and nothing makes it work as it should.
So... firmwear meaning the version of Wear that's installed on the watch? I was considering seeing what options are on the debug? menu but following online instructions I couldn't get this to work (you have to swipe from top left etc). I'm on 5.0.1 build LWX48S bought in the UK, how about you?
Have you had another watch that you replaced? I have and thought maybe settings got confused between watches. On my previous one, the always-on screen worked fine on it. When I booted it up for the first time, it did a software update. It however had a power problem (didn't charge after 2 days), so I replaced it.
The replacement didn't update when booted up, and doesn't update when I reset, so I assumed it shipped with newer firmwear - maybe the always-on problem is caused by this?
One weird problem with the replacement watch is that it notified me that it was almost out of power, despite having about 75% batter left, then it switched off and didn't turn on until charged over night. Only happened once.
I was planning on swapping it for another at the shop but someone else having the issue makes me think it's software. Might wait for an update, but if not solved long term then I'm not happy - I want it to look like a watch rather than a blank screen.

Just got my Zenwatch and I am having the same problem... Resetting the watch helped. But, I am still not getting the watch to vibrate on notifications. It vibrates when I set an alarm (on the watch) to it's not the vibrating device itself...

I have the same version of Wear with the same build number and I am also in the UK (which may be the common factor here as it is looking quite likely to be a manufacturing batch issue). When I first got the my watch from Heathrow terminal 2 it had an older version of Wear pre installed and the always on mode was not working then either. This would suggest the Wear version is not the issue here but the ASUS firmware which links Wear to the hardware is at fault.
I have also done the uninstall all apps from my Nexus 6 and factory reset the watch thing but ultimately it made no difference.
This the response I received from ASUS BTW,
Thank you for contacting ASUS. We are sorry to hear about this problem. I believe this is due to a firmware bug, it is not a setting that you can choose.
Please be advised that I will forward your feedback to our HQ development department to see if our engineers can resolve this problem in the next firmware update.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
I also share your sentiment that a watch that doesn't tell the time is not much use to me so I will be rolling the dice and returning it for a replacement unit in the hope for a device that works as advertised.

Did you return it in the end?
After several frustrating emails with ASUS support in which they replied with general info on how the Always on-screen setting can be set, then asked me what build number I had even though I told them this in the first place, they concluded it must be a hardware problem.
"Taking in consideration that you have both the settings enabled on your watch as on your connected device and you are using the latest firmware, I also believe this is being cause by a hardware fault. Please return the ZenWatch back to your reseller."
So I took the plunge and exchanged it for the second time with suspicious staff at the shop (it was past their 21 day return policy cut-off, so I had to order another, then swap the new one for mine, on their system they refunded the new one). Hey presto, the new one works fine!
This one shipped with: 4.4w.2, KNX01W, updated to: 5.0.1, LWX48S.
So overall sounds like perhaps just a hardware issue. I know it's a new product but it's lucky I like the look of the watch so much that I'm tolerating quite a few teething problems. The one I have now has a very slight ridge on the right hand side of the screen where it meets the metal frame, which you can feel when swiping right. Hopefully I'm just being overly-fussy now and I won't notice after a while, but it's not as smooth as my previous two watches. On the left of the screen it's completely flush.

I went to take mine back last week only to be told by PC World that this product can only be bought on-line and I would have to buy another one and then return the first for a refund. Which is a bit of a scam to me as the replacement was at a higher price than the first one I bought from Heathrow Duty Free.
I am due to collect the replacement and have an argument about the price difference tomorrow so finger crossed I get a working one as well.

Ha, mine was from PC World too. I guess it's not their fault that your original one was bought duty free & therefore cheaper, but really if it's faulty they should treat it as such. They did offer me the option of booking it in as faulty, then it would have been sent off to ASUS and in all probability replaced with a new one anyways, but he didn't know how long this would take. So I just took the other option of buying another, having it delivered to the store the next day then swapping & refunding the latest transaction.

Well the good news is I now have the replacement watch and it works as advertised. I did have to complain a lot to get the difference in price resolved. I ended up complaining so much that the store manager gave me the money out of his own pocket just to get rid of me .
Hey guys,
I bought my LeEco Le1s Eco (X509) in May last year (2016) and it was working fine for me except the battery woes. I had already rooted and installed a custom ROM (LOS13) on my phone and it worked like a charm. But yesterday my phone suddenly stopped charging itself up. The USB Type C jack of my charger heats up but the charge itself doesn't go up above 6% mark.
So today I decided to visit the authorized service center. I live in a humble city of Ranchi, JH. According to a pdf document Ranchi has 3 service centers in all. But when I went to the centers they told me that they have stopped accepting phones for repair now and didn't even guide me on what to do next.
Then I went to a local repair shop and he told me that its a hardware problem but then he made me aware about how its risky for him to just open the device as it opens up by the screen and it may crack. So I decided not to repair it from him.
Finally, I am stuck with a bricked cyber junk and can't do anything about it as the Toll free number of LeEco is also not responding. The forum website is down and their twitter handle @leecoindia is also not active.
Can anyone give me some insights?
Thanking this community,
Abhishek
Unfortunately Yes
same reply from me Unfortunately left the whole users in insane risk and most of them are i think rooted (due to Bad RAM management) and would not be probably wanting a bricked phone....we all have to be careful otherwise RIP leeco ..... i was also stuck and really no solution each and every site is down and no stores left
I got this thinking I am buying the best machine available for streaming and from day once , have been plagued by problems.
First on opening the unit, the AC adapter was faulty. It turned out to be a piece of plastic stuck between the contacts.
Anyway I solved that problem on my own as shipper refused to entertain any claims outside the USA.
Then when it finally got going, I noticed most apps had loading circles going around, and were waiting to download. Tried everything possible and they would not move ahead . Finally cleared cache and data on the Google Play Store app and the app started downloading for precisely one application then it stopped and again same circling. I had to clear data on the Play store app every time to update each and every app on the machine.
Then i couldnt find my favorite apps in the app store. Turns out , Shield does not support. Ok, no problem, i said lets compromise and move on.
Downloaded MX Player Pro from the Play Store and sat down to watch a 1080p movie on the USB drive and again the loading circle popped up on the screen. Buffering on a 1080p file from a usb 3.0 flash drive !!! I copied the file onto the HDD and again the same problem. I had no idea how to watch this movie, BTW had watched it a night before perfectly on my Alphawise H96 Pro+.
Then one by one all the apps started crashing.
I decided to do a factory restore which lasted 2,5 hours. After restore, same problem, all apps crashing.
I do not have anything connected to the Shield , no usb drive. no air mouse, nothing. Both ports are empty.
The surprising thing is even Google play store crashes , also the Lean back Launcher and the system crashes.
I called up Nvida support and they say we do not support the Shield as you are not in the USA. Guys, even the chinese from Aliexpress support you and give a replacement if item is faulty. All they ask is a video showing the problem. In todays times, there are going to be non us customers buying from the Usa, you need to support them also.
Stuck with a Lemon.
Cannot even sell it off as whoever buys it from me will throw it back in my face. The dam thing is just a few days old.
Havent slept three nights, trying to solve the problem, got finally tired and have connected the Alphawise to the TV and Shield goes back into the box
There are lots of other people complaining about similar issues but no fixes from Nvidia ?
If someone can please suggest something which I can try, I will be highly obliged. Else I am stuck with a $300 paper weight.
I did a Full Reset (2.5 hours) once and a Fast reset , hoping it would solve the problem. But no luck.
Please help, someone, please.
Wow, that sounds like a whole lotta suck.
Sorry to hear you had such hardship.
My Pro model had the blurry Recommendations section, which was a symptom of the faulty harddisk, for ages (before I knew about the mass RMA they had) and, one day, the Shield stopped responding to input, even from the capacitive power button on the device itself.
So I pulled the plug but it wouldn't turn back on afterwards.
I applied for a replacement here:
https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/home
Where'd you get yours?
I'd purchased mine as soon as it was released through the US Amazon - I couldn't wait the extra month or so for it to be released in Europe
Despite this, they processed the replacement. I sent it off to the Netherlands, if I recall correctly, and they returned the refurbished unit shortly afterwards, which has been working fine ever since; all the useless recommendations load quickly and there's no slow down or stuttering like I'd experienced before. I also got a new controller in the box with it and an EU plug. :good:
Anyways, my point is that it shouldn't matter where it was purchased. Try that link and see if you can't get it sorted.
I wish you the best!

I have the 2017 shield pro. and all though I wouldn't say it has been a nightmare, it hasn't been without its problems; such as apps randomly not responding with a message saying close the app or wait...slow down of apps opening at all to include settings not opening...streaming apps to include Netflix not playing or simply force closing...even Leanback Launcher stopping with the message Leanback Launcher has stopped...close or wait....I finally bit the bullet after posting on this forum and getting no response and did a wipe of data and dalvic from TWRP and re-flashed the 6.1 or 6.2 firmware. It seems to be running smooth so far. Got my shield from amazon. wouldn't expect this many problems from a $300 device that claims to be the best on the market. When it works without problems it is a great device!
Hope you get it sorted out. If nothing else works, it may be worth it to fastboot boot TWRP if you have an unlocked bootloader...wipe data and dalvic and install the 6.1 firmware update.
Real sorry to here you had so many problems Mate. Hope they sort it for you ....But if they fail to deliver (which they really should not, Take no excuses from them ,Polite but firm)
