Hello,
I have a DE note 3, and I was wondering if any of the great devs or other nice members here could provide me with ano original MJ3 system dump that I can use to either flash from twrp or an Odin version .tar file. I would also love to get an original MJ3 modem .tar file to flash from Odin. Beanstown used to have one on his kernel and modem collection post, but that file seems to have been replaced with the MJE modem. I have MJ7 right now, but just want to flash back to MJ3 to try something out.
Since the bootloader is unlocked, I know kernels can be flashed as well. There used to be a link in Beanstown's post that pointed to where compatible T-Mobile (or at&t?) kernels could be found that could be flashed to the dev edition, but I can't seem to find that link either. Could someone also kindly point me to where I could find kernels compatible with the dev edition Verizon note 3?
I really need the .tar/zip files for MJ3 system and modem, the link to the kernels is just a plus.
Thanks to anyone kind enough that could give me the stock files for the dev edition, since a complete restore .tar doesn't exist yet.
fortunately the only one available right now is the MJE build beans put together.
there is nothing else unfortunately.
Go to the T-Mobile Note 3 section, then to Original Android Development. You will find kernels there.

I posted the MJ3 Stock dev kernel Odin tar.md5 here
Did a search and couldn't retrieve anything useful.
Guys,
Is there way to flash the latest ND3 Modem only on my 4.4.2 SM-N9005?
I'm currently on 4.4.2 NC2.
Thanks!

If nc2 works fine for you just keep it. I came from...I think na1(never updated modem and haven't had any issues) to ne3 which didn't work for me and settled on nc2 myself. If you like to flash(it's your phone and therefore your risk) try omega pro or anywhere else you find the modem and flash in Odin. I assume you're rooted. Little hint: keep other modems(especially nc2) on your PC cause I didn't and it was a drag to get them with a none working phone.

when we were upgrading to the new firmware and the modem- baseband wasn't sticking, we used triangle away v3.26 from chainfire, then we odin the modem or the full firmware and it stuck.. hope that helps..

You could just grab the MODEM.BIN and NON-HLOS.BIN from the firmware, and flash it at CP or PHONE with ODIN (modem.bin first, then follow by non-hlos.bin).
if 1st try fail, do 2nd time.
Make sure you power off first before you use the 3 combo to get into download mode.

Agree you can just keep your existing modem if it works fine for you.
modem, normally I update only from firmware of my own region.
BTW, to upgrade modem no need to have a rooted device. It only need modem.bin + non-hlos.bin + PC ODIN.
If you have root permission you can flash with the dd command
Thanks a lot for the support guys, I've done it through odin. Didn't solve my original problem, But WIFI connectivity was improved!
Gps issue, please help...
Hi all.
First of all, sorry for my English.
I need a big help. I have a sm-n9005 Galaxy Note 3. After flashing a rom I lost GPS signal. I do not have at all.
I tried different roms, but still nothing. Any idea? Did I killed my GPS receiver somehow during flashing rom???
Many thanks...
Hi all, just updated the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to CyanogenMod 5.1.1 ROM. Phone doesn't recognize SIM card (I live in UK) anymore, baseband is showing as "unknown" under the About Phone section. Please can someone let me know where I can download the Baseband/Modem firmware for SM-N910F?
Many thanks!
You could attempt to download the full stock firmware by either using 'Samfirm' or the website 'Sammobile'
Unbranded Note 4 CSC is BTU but it is currently still on Android 5.0.1 but the modem and bootloader will still work fine with Cyanogenmod ROMs.
Right, I did download the official Samsung firmware N910FXXU1BOC5 from a website, but when flashing with Odin 3.09 I was getting a error. So I ended up using the customized ROM which didn't seem to have the baseband/model inside. How could I extract the baseband from the official firmware in MD5 format?

Bootloader
Modem
Put your phone in download mode manually (Pull the battery out and put it back in after 10 seconds and then hold volume down + Home button and power on the device) Then connect it to your PC and run Odin as Admin and flash the bootloader and modem.
Make sure you uninstall Kies if you have it installed.

Hi mate,
I have a quick question with which I hope you can help (if you have the time of course ). There is a newer firmware version for UK, which is COK3 (and O2, which is what I have), and I'd like to update to this one, but the only way I know would be to update the phone entirely and then root it again and install whatever mod rom I'm using from there. However, this would be a painful lot of work. Do you know (or mind sharing) how to extract the baseband from an official md5 release so as to update this only or as well as the bootloader? Is there any way to put the entire firmware md5 file on Odin and tell the software to update just one thing?
I saw that you did just that above and I'm having some trouble with the phone connection being lost quite often, so it would be of great help.
Many thanks in advance for your help mate!
Cheers

Thanks for the quick response mate! You are the man! I still have a couple of questions though. Firstly, what's the difference between the cp and bl files in the link in your signature? I take it that bl stands for bootloader, but not sure of what cp stands for then. In any case, the most important bit I need/want is the baseband, and since I'm in the UK and my network carrier is O2, I believe the XXU1COK3 (as per Sammobile) would be my best bet, is that right? Will it make much of a difference with the XXU1COJ3 that I have installed right now? In any case, is the bl-cok3.tar file in your link the same XXI1COK3 baseband?
Secondly, that other post that you included is for a galaxy s3 and within that topic they link to a galaxy s4 topic, will those files and guidelines also work for our note 4?
Finally, I have TWRP recovery and within advanced backup I can individually backup the boot (which I imagine is the bootloader) and the modem (which I suppose is the baseband as such). Do you know if I could I install a new firmware through Odin and, backup the modem and boot, and then restore everything but those two things from an different rom backup? Have you ever tried?
Thank you for your time bro! I know that these might be a little bit of a newbie's questions but for more thar I search, I can't find anything close enough to answer what I'm asking.

In the bootloader and modem folders I have included the latest Odin, if you use that the 'CP' and 'BL' will make sense.
CP= Modem
BL=Bootloader
The steps should still work for the Note4.
I don't back-up and restore bootloaders or modems using TWRP.

Aah OK, that makes sense. But then the modem I am talking about is not in that list, is it? However, the bootloader is I think. Is there any chance you could extract the xxu1cok3 modem for the UK and O2 to add it to your list? ?? Pretty sure other people would appreciate it too, I know I would :good:

I don't see a point in doing that, it won't make a difference. The firmware does not have a 'COK3' modem. So I can't extract it if it doesn't exist. The O2U firmware had a bootloader of COK3, CSC of COJ1 and modem of COJ3.
If the modem isn't working well then you should flash a stock firmware for your region and apply the appropriate CSC.

Oooooouuuch! Sorry mate, my bad, I must ve read it wrong and only seen what i wanted to see. I was convinced I saw that that firmware release came with modem too.

I was able to downgrade from 5.1.1 to 4.4.4 on a SM-N910T. Kinda...
the phone had 5.1.1 N910TUVU2DOK2 and i downgraded to 4.4.4 N910T2TMB2AOG1.
N910T2TMB2AOG1 is 4.4.4 for a SM-N910T2 and I would like to get to 4.4.4 N910TUVU1ANIH for a SM-N910T.
Since I was able to downgrade to 4.4.4 I hope someone can figure out how to get over to 4.4.4 N910TUVU1ANIH.
Has anyone had any success in downgrading the SM-N910T to 4.4.4?
As far as EVERYONE with a N910T knows there is NO possible way at all to downgrade from DOK2. If you have achieved this bud you are the only single person that anyone knows who has...PLEASE sir provide screenshots and a full list of the steps you took... if you successfully managed to downgrade to T2 firmware we might can find a way to help you get over to a different firmware.
---------- Post added at 01:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:14 AM ----------
But what do you mean kinda???? If all your partitions are on 4.4.4 buddy you are fully downgraded....how did you come to flashing T2 firmware...what's the story?
---------- Post added at 01:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:16 AM ----------
I'm only so excited because I have been looking since I bought my phone for a method like your describing...you will be famous my friend if you have found this and can prove to others it's true....I don't mean that disrespectful....it's just thought to be impossible by even devs
---------- Post added at 01:35 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:18 AM ----------
BTW bro you should prolly post this on N910T forums also....probably get way more attention there
I successfully downgraded 3 SM-N910T phones today, but it will be Tuesday before I can post screenshots, get more details and do more experiments etc.
For now this is what I did.
1. I used Odin 3.11.1 to flash the OG1 rom
2. I used a N910T2TMB2AOG1 rom I captured from Kies a while back that has the BL,AP,CP and CSC files in it
3. I selected "nand erase all" and "phone bootloader update" in options
4. After a sucessful flash, I did a hard reset in recovery
5. I used the app "Phone INFO ★Samsung★" to verify the phone is on the 4.4.4 OG1 bootloader
Tuesday I will try downloading the OG1 rom from sammobile for the SM-N910T2 and flashing it without all the extra setting to see if I get the same results.
Then I will post on the 910T forums to see if I actually have a breakthrough and if someone can use this info to get to 4.4.4 ANIH.
I have been able to get from 5.0.1 to 4.4.4 ANIH with no problems but like everyone else 5.1.1 to 4.4.4 seems to be impossible.
So to start with you were on DOK2 right? And now your phone is on T2 4.4.4 firmware? I have a N910T on DOK2. Well 6.0.1 now but I can downgrade back and I can download the FW and try it...if you can send me a link to the FW that you downgraded to and a link to the firmware that you want to be on I will see if I can get some of my way more tech savvy friends to help me check out the files to see if we can figure out how to get you to where u wanna be...where you get your phone and how old is it...and when you can send screenshots take one of the back under the battery and of your stock recovery if your on stock...
Sorry it has taken so long to respond but here are the steps I took to get down to 4.4.4.
(Warning!!!! I am not responsible if you damage your phone following these instructions.)
>>>>Proceed at Your Own Risk<<<<
The SM-N910T was on Android Version 5.1.1 build number N910TUVU2DOK2.
I used the 4.4.4 firmware N910T2UVU2AOG1 for the SM-N910T2 downloaded from SamMobile.com.
I flashed the N910T2UVU2AOG1 firmware through Odin 3.11.
The Note 4 will boot loop after the downgrade so you will have to boot into recovery after the downgrade, then wipe cache and wipe data/factory reset.
Remember that this will only get you to 4.4.4 for the SM-N910T2. I would like to get to 4.4.4 for the SM-N910T if someone smarter than me knows how to do it.
Have you tried flashing the ANK firmware?

Sammobile also shows 4.4.4 firmwares ANIH and ANJ7 for the N910T. Did those also fail downgrade attempts from 6.0.1?
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
Yes they failed.
That's why I tried the 4.4.4 firmware for the SM-N910T2. It was the only firmware that would downgrade.
I have tried to downgrade to ANJ7, ANK4, and ANIH with no success. AOG1 is the only one I have been able to downgrade successfully.
A side note, I can upgrade back to DOK2 and then downgrade back to AOG1 with no problem.
So it seems that the Note 4 bootloader is not exactly locked because it can be downgraded to 4.4.4 on at least one version of the firmware. What this leads me to believe is that these must be a database or whitelist in the bootloader code that allows for downgrade to 4.4.4 if the version is on the approved list. Or maybe it's a blacklist with ANJ7, ANK4 and ANIH on it that causes Odin to fail. I have not tried to decompile the bootloader to verify, so I am just speculating at this point.

I want to use a rom that is based on the ANIH build.
Do you know how to edit firmware tars
---------- Post added at 09:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:08 PM ----------
That's why I asked why you wanted to be on ANIH...you can possibly extract the tar and remove the BL...then you are left with a ANIH phone that has a different BL of the same build...but have you tried the rom you want on the T2 FW...? It might run perfect....it's like installing a N910F rom on N910T...all you really need is the BL and Modem that is compatible with our phone... T and T2 are the same as far as hardware from what I can find....

did you try ODIN re partition with PIT File for 910T , along with ANIH stock rom 4.4.4 ?
I've done the said method of downgrading to 444 N910T2 OG1 firmware from 601.
This is the closest you can get to NIH and all the other original 444 firmwares for N910T. You won't be able to flash stock n910t 444 rom from this one, though.
The positive side of it is that this OG1 firmware for N910T2 is fully functional with no TMO bloats. So it's almost like a dream 444 stock firmware.
Again: fully functional 444 daily driver with good battery life and no tmo bloats. You can flash Root, it works as well. If you love 444 just flash this over your 511 or 601, erase data and cache. Start fresh. Then, enjoy the benefits.
Loving my Note 4 even more now.

Yeah, the whole 1.5 GB. Sammobile is the most secure and trustworthy place, but sometimes you can find them on android file host

From there you can use the drop down above the firmware links to choose your carrier. I'd stick with a 5.0 based firmware to avoid potential issues that could arise. For instance, on the g900p (American sprint model) if you flash a 6.0 tar.md5, you can't install custom lollipop or kitkat ROMs, only marshmallow ones

Here's the link you'll want. You'll just have to look for the one for your carrier. I recall seeing something that if you flash a 6.0 tar.md5 you might not be able to get root back, but if I had to choose between root and a working camera, I'd choose the camera
