Hello,
I have a DE note 3, and I was wondering if any of the great devs or other nice members here could provide me with ano original MJ3 system dump that I can use to either flash from twrp or an Odin version .tar file. I would also love to get an original MJ3 modem .tar file to flash from Odin. Beanstown used to have one on his kernel and modem collection post, but that file seems to have been replaced with the MJE modem. I have MJ7 right now, but just want to flash back to MJ3 to try something out.
Since the bootloader is unlocked, I know kernels can be flashed as well. There used to be a link in Beanstown's post that pointed to where compatible T-Mobile (or at&t?) kernels could be found that could be flashed to the dev edition, but I can't seem to find that link either. Could someone also kindly point me to where I could find kernels compatible with the dev edition Verizon note 3?
I really need the .tar/zip files for MJ3 system and modem, the link to the kernels is just a plus.
Thanks to anyone kind enough that could give me the stock files for the dev edition, since a complete restore .tar doesn't exist yet.
fortunately the only one available right now is the MJE build beans put together.
there is nothing else unfortunately.
Go to the T-Mobile Note 3 section, then to Original Android Development. You will find kernels there.

Don't know if any body has noticed, but kit kat seems to have been sneakily released for us australia note 3 holders of the n9007 model.
I don't know if its available officially yet, as I can't check because I rooted the 4.3 firmware, however I am currently downloading the 4.4.2 firmware from sammobile.
Now this leads to my actual question,
Seeing as we now have the 4.4.2 firmware and modem, would we be able to flash n9005 roms onto our n9007 note 3's and simply swap the modem?
I read somewhere that someone had success flashing, with everything working except the modem.
If any other n9007 would like to hit up the new firmware and share feedback that'd be great

I've done this on many N9005 custom roms without any issues (NO MODEM ISSUE to speak of). All you need to do is update to 4.4.2 for the N9007 so that you have the kitkat bootloader and modem then you can flash any of the N9005 custom roms as you please. I've flashed these roms in the past without any issue (ASSASSINROM V4, CRASH ROM V13, N9005XXUGNG1_DevBase_alexndr.zip AND CRASH ROM V15 CURRENT)
So you can use 9005 ROMs even if you have a 9007 as long as it's 4.4.2?
In short yes. The baseband of your 9007 must match the 9005 custom rom you want to use ie. to use 9005 custom rom on 4.4.2 you need to upgrade your 9007 to 4.4.2 first.
Sorry but would you be able to provide us with a short tutorial on how to do so?
As far as I can tell, there is no way to root N9007 4.4.2 at the moment.
I realise some roms can be flashed with odin, but I'm still kind of wary as to whether or not it will be compatible.
You mentioned having the same basebands, but on my N9007 the baseband version shows as "N9007DIUCND1"
Is the DIUCND1 part the part I need to look out for while searching for N9005 custom roms?
Thanks for the help

OK...from the information you've provided...you're on 4.4.2 for the N9007 if not update your firmware to this version. To root simply use TOWELROOT (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2793071) then install recovery app...either CWM or TWRP - I've been using TWRP 2.7.2.0 without a single issue. Then chose and install an N9005 custom rom via TWRP or CWM. I've installed and used the following roms without any issue (Echoe ROM v15, Alexndr - N9005XXUGNG1, ASSASSIN_V4, CRASH_ROM_V13 and CRASH_ROM_V15)...the only thing you cannot do is install bootloader and modem belonging to N9005.
Fantastic. I have yet to install a custom rom, but I am ecstatic just knowing that my phone is finally rooted again.
Hated that I couldn't downgrade from kitkat back to jb, but only because I wasn't aware of any way to root my device until now, many thanks!
I shall post again once I try out a few roms and see how they go.
Thanks again, you've been most helpful!
Sorry, would you be able to link me to the correct TWRP for the N9007? or the one that is compatible with it?
try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467001

I'm just wondering if anyone could provide me how to root my galaxy note 3 n9007 Kit Kat? I tried CF-Auto-Root but after i flashed with odin it just stuck in bootloop.
I also would like to try custom firmware, is it possible to install onto this phone?
I got one more question do i need to unlock bootloader?
How can I check my bootloader status?
Thanks for your answers.

I too have this issue and as explained clearly you cannot use the N9005's BL or CL on a N9007 device - it causes a bootloop or stuck on logo.
I cannot find the BL or CL for Australia (optus) anywhere, not even an older version.
Flash latest stock firmware for BL etc.
Hello,
I have updated my rom to and seem to have tripped something because my camera doesn't record right now.
everything else works .. just not video camera
I am wondering maybe it's the bootloader and modem ...
if so can someone provide me a link to where to find N900W8 for lollipop.
Thanks in advance.:highfive:
Are you running a custom rom? The latest stock rom can be found on sammobile.com. The stock rom will contain the modem and bootloader.

I need the same files for a different reason and I've already grabbed the stock firmware from the site you mentioned. I've done this before but not much and long ago so I'm going to ask a dumb question. I can clearly identify the modem file but not sure of the bootloader. The image I've posted is the contents of the zipfile. Could someone please point out which is which? I've been all over the internet looking for what I would have thought was basic information with no luck at all.
Latest N900W8 FMC Stock Firmware.
The aboot file would be the bootloader if I recall correctly.
I was thinking it was the boot.img from one of the guides I'd found until I see that file is sent to the phone via the AP option in Odin.

Going to try the Samsung Full Firmware Maker from this thread to see if it helps id the files for me.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/samsung-4files-firmware-maker-windows-t2923016
Figured out what I needed from the stock firmware by looking at the contents of another baseband tar file. Just created a new tar using peazip with the matching files from the stock firmware. Phone is fine now and running Pie.
So I have a Note 3 (t-mobile) running cm 12.1, everything seems great except that i cannot find how to update the baseband/modem/whatever to the current version.
All i want is a twrp flashable N900TUVUFOL1 modem but I can only find the complete stock rom, which I do not want.
I want to try the newer modem file because I am having reception problems in areas that my girlfriend is not!
Help!
I suggest you post in your phones forum.

I don't know of any link for a TWRP-flashable modem but the latest stock ROM is here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N900T/
This can be a sign Search on sammobile.com
hi, im new here. I have a question regarding my galaxy s4 i9505 which is already stated in the title. Im currently using Optimized Cm13 by JDC team which runs in my very old bootloader I9505ZHU and modem. Though i dont have any problems with it, i would still like to update to later version of bootloader like i9505XX that is where the custom rom is based. So is it possible?
Yes.
There is a guide and links to modem files in the S4 General Section.
The guide is by the user Bon_Bon. It's pretty detailed. Though I'm not sure if the modems and bootloaders listed there are the most recent, but they certainly aren't that old either.
Also, you may find that going to the last pages of that thread, users have posted the latest modem/bootloader combo. If not, there's another - older - modem thread that may have them.
Another way to get the latest bootloader and modem on the phone is pretty simple: use TWRP to backup your exiting ROM, flash the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com with Odin, flash TWRP with Odin, and restore backup from TWRP.
Hey,so I have the Note 3 HLTE and I need NEE since I live in scandinavia and I need the baseband and BootLoader and there is alot of new things since back in 2013 or so I flashed and tested out several AOSP ROMS including PacMan,RR,Carbon and others. So I have gone stock android 5.0 for close to 3-4years now and I watched a newly updated URL on the net about the best and newest ROMs that are based on android 9.0 and 10.0 and I found the Havoc Rom pretty interesting.
But there are so much to delve into, and I kinda forgot the process in order to Root from installing Odin, picking the CSC,BL,AP to installing TWRP to installing Custom ROMs. So I need a step by step guide on how to do this. I used to use the SuperSU app,but found out Magiska stops even more. I have also downloaded the GAPP pico and nano.
I have installed Odin 3.13.1, had to get a stock SAM 5.0 android FW image, managed to find the PIT file in case, and I'm using this and I'm thinking this is the correct to use; N9005XXUGBNL8_CL3643614_QB3415922. If not please redirect me to the correct one. So I think I have all that I need, but I'm not sure.
I have found several guides here on XDA and read them when it comes to the ROM installation, outside of XDA and a updated YT video that has been updated in 2020,but they are different in the step-by-step and so I dont know which to follow.
So I need somone who is kind enough to guide and write down step by step on how to flash with Odin, TWRP via Odin and the Custom ROMs. THe installing of Custom ROMs I have no problems to do. But I need the correct order so I dont brick my phone or bootloop it.
Kind regards
Anders
Odin and flash
TWRP Recovery as per version required by each rom .
Flash Custom rom as per that roms instructions .
CSC NA
BL NA unless instructed to update .Likewise baseband/ modem
CSC BL AP are for stock rom Odin flashing not custom .
