It didn't work a few times though when I hit in on the table upside down it turned on but then when I opened up something then needed wifi it wouldn't work. This is only on cm. The Mac address would be back and then when I reboot my phone it is gone.

Sometimes this sort of issue appears when updating ROM. Please go back to stock and upgrade till lollipop , one step by one, from kitkat to lollipop. Hence you will be updating radios , baseband etc along with it. Then check if its working. It should work

Try heating the phone gently.... Sometimes it works. My phone's wifi option was greyed. I put it on my router for several days and it worked

On your router?
Can I just put mine on like a lightly heated stove for a few minutes? Also screen facing up or down?

I put that screen facing up.... Stove is just too dangerous u can put it on your laptop or something that continously heats upto a gentle temperature.... Stove will just eventually cool down

Hi, i had the same issues, i opened a thread here too, i solved by entering in safe mode (Hold power button and the menu' with 3 select option will displayed) just hold the Power option on you lcd and it will say if you want to reboot into recovery, once you are in recovery just restart the phone and it will work, atleast for me it does. Let me know.

[Q] Screen cant be turned off!

Hi! I purchased note 3 several yads ago, rooted it proeprly and it was all ok till several hours ago. While i was playing a game (Kunundrum, if it`s important) screen became unresponsive for several sec and became functional 3 sec after. After i closed game i couldnt turn screen off anymore! Not by screen timeout or lock key (long press still pops up turn off menu). I tried everything, uninstalled app, uninstalled all apps, unrooted phone, factory reset and the problem is still here! Can anyone help me pls?

Freezing and other issues. Please help.

Running an Australian N9005.
I was running Temaseks unofficial CM11 build just fine. Got bored and wanted to go back to a more Samsung styled phone.
Decided to flash X-Note. As I'd used it before CM11. It worked fine then.
Attempted to flash X-Note but it wouldn't boot, stuck at initial screen with the Kernel warnings at the top of the screen. Was told it was because I hadn't got the new 4.4 bootloader.
I was told to follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46223545&postcount=2
Which I did.
Using these download links and instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49931269
That fixed the boot issue. I suppose I'm not on the 4.4 bootloader.
However when I booted up the stock Polish ROM, the initial Samsung Setup Wizard would crash at the end of the setup and force me back to the start of the setup. Tried ignoring it and just flashing the custom recovery and then XNote. Same issue, the setup wizard in XNote crashes as well.
Someone then told me I should try repartitioning the device using a PIT. I don't know what that is, but it was suggested.
Using this ROM: https://mega.co.nz/#!QVwlVDgJ!QyAxmDMcsIA-56cX_28Ua2aPZLcJATVvdM07LOs0V10
And this PIT: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50614669&postcount=77
Completes successfully.
Same issue............... That being a third separate ROM (official? at that)....
Samsung Setup Wizard crashes...
I even tried flashing XNote and removing the setup wizard just to get past it. That fixes it for about 10 minutes or so. After about 10 minutes of use the phone freezes and I have to hold the power button to force it to restart. If I leave the phone off, it still freezes, as soon as I try to unlock it it freezes and need to force restart.
I really don't know what to do now... Any help guys? I'm trying my best here...
Please, if you need any more information, please ask.
Might not help, but have you wiped your phone clean using custom recovery ( data, cache, dalvik, internal sd ) before flashing xnote or factory reset on recovery when on stock?
Do you have reactivation lock enabled?
Sent from my fingers to your face using my Samsung Galaxy Note 3!

This has puzzled me, not sure why it's still acting up especially after re-partitioning and flatlining everything.

Yes indeed. I'm very confused...
So... I don't want to get ahead of myself, but my phone seems to have sorted itself out...
I decided to just send it back to the carrier to get it replaced. So I decided to just flash the official Firmware again. (I accidentally left repartition ticked)
Once it started I thought... Oh ****... But I was sending it back anyway so who cares. (the carrier said they will just swap it for me if they can see it not working)
So I let it finish and turn it on to see what happens, run through the setup to make sure it still crashes at the same spot so I can show them... and it doesn't crash... wtf?
So I flash the custom recovery and XNote... And it seems to be working now. Now freezing, no nothing... I... I don't know...
Crazy, least it appears somewhat sorted lol

Just out of curiosity, as I see you have an AU model, did you buy it from Kogan? -- Reason I ask is that they used HK firmware on some models and HK models have issues flashing normal firmware (similar to the issue you had)

Shuts off randomly after multiple ROM Flashes

So i tried my best to install cyanogen mod 12 and it eventually worked but it was so buggy, i flashed my original ROM using ODIN and now the phone just shuts off every now and then and gets stuck in a boot loop until i connect a charger, it is not the battery though as it is always around 50% when it does it, i tried Re-installing my original rom but it still continues to do it. I tried to install philz touch to be able to reset the phone for a new ROM but when i press the buttons to boot it up it just turns on, does the stuff it usually does before going into philz touch but then shuts off, can someone please help? Im going to austria in a few days and need my phone fixed for then

Reboots in DP5

My phone reboots on DP5 whenever the device locks and it's not charging. It happens in safe mode too, and after factory resets. Any advice?

Two new developments. The reboots survived two clean flashes (the first time didn't boot for some reason), and the real cause of the reboots is nothing to do with Google play movies; the phone reboots wherever it locks while connected to a carrier network. I however did find a temporary fix for this, just putting my phone into airplane mode whenever I'm not using it, but that is not sustainable for obvious reasons.

Unfortunately it did not help, the issue persisted. I then tried to flash all the way back to stock marshmallow, and that didn't work. With Nougat released today, I flashed to it and my phone still reboots. I was able to further isolate the cause though; the phone reboots when it has a mobile data connection regardless of carrier (I tried Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, and China Unicom).
I think my only option left is to RMA it again.
