Hi, what roms are you using on your 910F and why? How stable is it, how much bloat is there on it etc?
I was thinking of trying Dr.Ketan,.,.but i thought some help/insights would be good, so i ask you!
EDIT: i ment stable TW roms not "stock roms"... Im using 6.0.1 stock atm, but i want something more

Hi folks!
I'm one of the the few lucky ones still being on the pre-KNOX 4.2.2, buildnumber JDQ39.I9505XXUBMGA. I own the international (swedish unbranded) version of the I9505. At the moment i have Root and a custom recovery installed, stock TouchWiz.
Now I want to discuss the pros and cons of WHETHER staying on this version, installing a custom ROM and a custom recovery OR updating to Jelly Bean 4.3 and only having the possibility to root without voiding my warranty.
I'm wondering:
Are there are any improvements in performance and stability with Jelly Bean 4.3?
Is there a stable custom ROM?
Is there a stable custom ROM that uses all the possibilties on the SGS4?
The reasons why I want to have ROOT is the annoying inability to move app data to the SD card. I don't want to void warranty.
Every answer/idea/opinion is welcome!

Hi, first of all, you lucky guy can flash every custom ROM 4.3 and also 4.4.2 when no new bootloader is included.:good:
the Samsung based ROMS are fully working. All you have to do is to flash a ROM of your choice and update your baseband. It should have the same base as the ROM. So if the ROM is based on a NB8 firmware, you have to use a NB8 baseband. But flash only the modem.bin file, not the non-hlos file.
for working wifi use a custom kernel like KT or similar.
The performance and the batterylife are in my opinion much better in 4.3 and 4.4.2.
it depends on your using.
just try a little bit. As long as you not update you bootloader, you're on the safe side.

How do I know that a custom ROM doesn't contain the new bootloader? Does the bootloader come with the kernel? If so, which kernel versions are safe? Which custom ROM without new kernel is most stable?
Do 4.3 and 4.4 run on the old kernel? Are there significant improvements in the original kernel coming with 4.3?
After reading about 4.4 I absolutely do not want to update to KitKat.
Many questions but the amount of kernels and ROMs is simply overpowering for someone who does not have the time to read every post on XDA every day.
Seeing forward to your answers.
I'm pre knox and have flashed various rims including the Google Edition roms. Currently I'm on KitKat TW rom using the pre rooted debloated version. You'll have to update to the kitkat kernel but this is included in the rom. All custom roms that are flashable via recovery will not have the new bootloader. Knox is tied into the bootloader. Why don't you want to install kitkat? It's better overall with the new kitkat features.
I run KT kernel it's a fantastic kernel in my opinion and has many tweaks.

Thank you for your answer. I read about problems accessing the SD card in KitKat. Or is this not a problem with custom ROMs? I want to be able to move app data to SD card.

The stock is not better because the custom roms are based on the stock.....that is if they are tw based.

Have you tried the GPE roms? It has been the most stable and hassle free rom I used so far.
Or try CM12.1. I use it currently in combination with Ktoonsez 5.1 kernel and it works with no problems. Also it is a lot smoother than 5.0.1

i have the i9500 variant, so GBE roms wont work, and CM12 or CM12.1 are good, but battery life is horrible, and the camera is s***....i tried cm12 couple weeks ago, its smooth enough but the camera i not good, AOSP roms have bad cameras....

And much more slower. I upgraded a friend's S4 to official lollipo last night. My god, was it laggy
@OP: You could also try a GPE rom. It was, for me, far more stablw than CM and faster than stock. Best of both worlds
I have this SM-T230NU with the latest 4.4.2 update. I dont really like 4.4 and lower so i am trying to find a android 5.X or even 6.x rom. I dont have root and TWRP and if there is a ACTUAL 5.x or 6.x firmware I am going to root and get TWRP for that.

The touchwiz samsung stuff just slows it down as i saw. and why is there no custom roms? Well i see that some people are working on CM12.1 for the T230/NU right here so i might as just wait for that or something else to come.

I installed acheron rom, it has trebutched launcer and its smoother than stock. At this moment those who started making cm12.1 are working on cm11 not on cm 12.1. We can expect to see stable 5.x custom roms maybe after 5.1.1 firmware gets relased for tab 4 7.0 wifi only, and honestly i wouldnt count on that.

Okay. I highly doubt that 5.1.1 FW will come out for T230NU model
It'll probably take a while. Blame Marvell. I'm running a StockRom series 4.4.2 ROM, rooted and super debloated. It runs fine, with a few hiccups here and there.
I'm currently on a CID 11 G900V running a stock 6.0.1 PD1 rom, that I flashed from the instructions on this post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/how-to-flash-custom-6-0-1-roms-locked-t3393943
I like the stock rom but its still very bloated. I'm just looking for a debloated rom with reliable and smooth experience, I don't really care about customization, I just need reliability. So is there something like that out there, or is the one I'm on the best so far?

Would an Odexed rom be better since I'm looking for smoothness and reliability? I've heard that deodexed roms sacrifice speed.

I've run a few deodexed Roms and haven't noticed any real difference.
