Hey guys,
I'm using the yoyo.rom MM port right now (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-s7edge-marshmallow-port-t3368139) which is not longer supported / continued.
I like it's clean stock-like appearance but it has some bugs.
So... does anybody know a good and clean Samsung stock-like alternative?
If it comes with S7 Edge features - good if it's just a Note 5 port, it's fine for me, too.
Thanks
Tom
Darkera13 port is awesome, very stocky and battery friendly IMO.

You can try AryaMod v4. Its the best for me so far.
As mentioned above thses are very good roms with a few bugs. But if you have a sprint n900p you run into a different set of problems. Such as no mobile data, text messenger doesnt work, and mobile hotspot isnt possible.

I've tried Aryamod and Darkera Port. For most STOCK experience I suggest you the Darkera port. I'm runing it right now and it's very good.
Anyway both two have great battery life and performance.
Didn't try Dark wolf for the black theme that I don't like and Phronesis that doesn't run, don't know why....

i just bought a tmobile note 4 and i just rooted it i wanted to know which custom rom is besti used cm 12 but didnt like it, any suggestions???
Hello,
There is a CyanogenMod 12 Unofficial for your phone, which I personally really love. It depends on your taste, but for me the CM is the way to go.
But there may be even more roms I guess.. Search for them
He who is searching will find
God bless you

Aaannnddd... This thread is in a very wrong place. But good luck!
I've personally tried CM12, FireKat, and Dynamic Kat... I like all 3, but am staying on Dynamic Kat for now b/c it has a really great balance of features vs. speed. I had the best battery with FireKat, and it worked fastest for me, with AnTuTu benchmarks over 50,000 (actual day-to-day performance difference between the two roms is not really noticeable though). Both FK & DK are based on touchwiz, so it'll keep S Pen stock features intact...if you use CM12, Liquid Smooth, or any other non-touchwiz based roms, you'll need to install an application or two (eg. CM S Pen Add-on, for cm12) for the rom to detect the S pen in/out. At the end of the day, though, I'd recommend trying all of the roms out for yourself. If you end up sticking to one & then change your mind later, just do a backup and flash again! haha you really can't go wrong with any of the ones posted on xda.
where you get firekat from i could only see dynamic kat

please say rom name and reason
Try is out yourself. Not everyone has the same experience with the same rom.

I have tried few most popular roms for note 3 (even tho its TMO i was using supported ones) and i can tell you that stock lolipop gave me best experience and here is why.
My first rom ever to be flashed was darklord note 5 port by darkera13 and even though it gave me stunning battery idle time it also gave me some bad experiences using camera software which was either poor quality or simply not working when it was needed.
Next I tried s6 port by same developer assuming 5.0.2 base would be much more compatible with our official one but there were some massive memory redraws and weird display brightness bug(screen becomes dim on wakeup).
Since roms above were used as base to other port style roms I dont expect any better from them.(not saying they are bad, contrary, but when stability and reliability is in question ill prefer stock sluggy rom.
I must say that I have never used CM on note 3 so I must leave that to someone else but by the time I am writing this i am using stock and only 5.0 rom provided by TMO on top of lean kernel.(also its massively debloated ).
Cheers,hope it helps!!
AryaMod: Fully featured. Stable. Fluid too (as fluid as stock), and believe some features are really handy, like the alarm notification on lock screen which Samsung omitted from Lollipop. Just use it without Xposed, and you are good to go.

Try tazzy-aurora note 5 port with darklord kernel 1.5 & LS speed mod. Everything works fine and it's really fast with good battery life.
I flashed the s6 settings + stock ui mod (extra mods) and i'm really happy with. Also no camera flickering with darklord kernel
See my sig. Temasek ftw ^^

AryaMod IMO is by far the best Lollipop TW based experience available. I tried literally every single rom from here for 5.0 and nothing compares to Arya when it comes to stability, usage, battery... I highly recommend it!
Always back to cyanogemod CM12.1 = quick, slim, reliable. Only negative is of course the lack of s pen, but you got some third party apps for that.
Used to be great fan of miui, however they are now getting less popular by making their new MIUI 7 lollipop based, which is a sad thing.
I had bad experience with ports in the past, both on my note 3 and my old htc desire. Something was always broken. People say that they don't have any bugs and all features are working, but that was never the case in real life usage.
So, how well to all these note 5 ports perform? Be honest please.
Smokkie note 5 works.. It's been stripped down and works like a dream

Depending on what you need for daily use I guess, I tried out a couple of ROMs and have settled for the Phronesis ROM, in my experience there will always be minor bugs in custom ROMs that get fixed eventually or at least quicker than any update you get from Samsung but for the most they are still more functional that what you came from stock
So its been awhile since I've had a rooted phone and just recently got a S6 Edge+ (SM-G928A). Whats a good ROM to run thats de-bloated...the AT&T and Samsung crap is taking up a lot of room and I have no desire to use any of it.
Also, I remember reading awhile back that Google Wallet wouldn't work on rooted phones anymore. Is that true?

2 good ones are khongloi rom and dr ketan rom. Both are a bit outdated due to all the developers for the s6 edge plus custom roms dissapearing but yea they are still good. I am currently using the dr ketan rom and all I needed to do was to update the supersu.
I have to disagree on khongloi. You get all the cool new features but you're battery won't last you trough lunch.

I haven't checked on if it works on the 928A, but I'm using pixel v6 rom.
Battery seems good and using magisk manager and hide root I can run apps like banking, pokemon etc.
It's stripped of most of the Samsung junk but it can be installed if you want it.
I have been using Dr. Ketan Latest Rom of Galaxy Note 5. I think both of the phones have same hardware and architecture thats why Dr. Ketan's Note 5 rom is working flawlessly on my S6-edge+ (G928f)
I am using DR. Ketan ROM with KHONGLOI kernel and my battery lasts 2-3 days (sometimes even more), also I haven't rebooted my phone for 72 days. Everything working great and super fast, I even have "Always on display" (but don't use it, because it uses a lot of power). I also have my Garmin Fenix 3 connected 24/7.
I know this is probably asked a lot, but what's the best rom for our amazing note 4? I have the T-Mobile version but unlocked. And I've tried a few roms but they all seem to lag or just slow down over time. I've never really tried stock cause I love the s8 apps and icons and what not. But I need something stable, fast and great battery. So what's the best?

You won't find Great festures of s8, fast, stable and good battery life everything in one ROM.
I think we have options to go with stock and disable/freeze everything we can or go with eRobot or any other rom and stop complaining about the battery life

I'm not trying to complain, I'm a manager at a cricket wireless store and I'm always on my phone. I just would like a little more battery out of this amazing phone. I appreciate all the devs. Just really asking people's opinion and testing them out
Norma rom v24/v25. Most stable for me. SM-N910F
