Spring effect inside - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi can anyone help me i drop my s7 edge.
Everytime i tap hard my s7 edge upper part and middle part of the screen i can feel that it has spring effect inside. Can someone tell me whats happening. :crying:

Why have you posted this same question twice?

Not sure what you mean by "spring effect." Do you mean you can feel the screen move when you tap it? If so, the screen got knocked loose when you dropped it. Live with it, or take it to a repair shop.

I guess you already tried hard reset?.
Can you get to bootloader mode?.
Tried hard resets, and getting to bootloader mode, i think this is a malfunction with the actual device, I just need to find out how to get in touch with o2 support internationally, i was wondering if someone on here may have had this problem too.
Thanks.
white screen - connector loose?
I too have this problem - but if I twist the screen away from the keyboard I get the display back. I suspect there's a connector loose inside but haven't looked inside.
Anyone on the forum any experience of getting inside and reseating connectors?

Hello there,
I had to get inside my xda to replace the screen that one of my dear rug rats broke. it is quite easy to do, and you only need to get into the screen side of it to get at the conectors. spin the screen half way round and look at the bottom and you will see 6 small screws. take out the two furthest out and two in the middle nearest the screen side. if you take them all out the whole thing becomes hard to handle. the front cover should GENTLY leaver off, and the cables to it exposed. even if they look in place lift the catch holding them in place and take them out and wipe the contacts with a cloth. just be very carefull with the cable strips as they tear very easy. . any problems then PM me

Damaged digitiser?

Hi folks. I have damaged my topaz but I'm not sure if it's the digitiser or the lcd screen, so I'll describe what happens:
The touch screen will stop responding after I've been using it and if I turn off the screen I can see a small dark patch (where my finger last touched it) with some small tiny 'bumps' surrounding this dark area. If I gently rub the screen with a soft cloth or similar, this dark area disappears and the touch screen starts responding again. However, I am having to do this procedure a lot - I mean like every 10 or 20 seconds if I'm touching the screen a lot or dragging stuff around - heck, it's a 'touch' phone, I can't help but touch it !!!
A new screen is a lot more than a new digitiser, and I figured that since the digitiser sits on top (right ) then it may be this that is u/s ?
Any help, comments or diagnostic clues are much appreciated.
Cheers, peace
Chris
umm, can it be water between the screen and touch sensor layer? Have you brought the phone to highly humid places, or something like that?
Some photos will definitely help identifying the problem.
Sounds like this:

I had it, and my provider repaired it. Unfortunaly I have the problems again... but not that much. When its getting too extreme, I'll send it back once again
^ I'd say that's it, I did find another post with a photo of something similar too.
I think mine happened when my wee girl got a hold of the phone -
I'm still a little unsure as to what component is damaged tho. Maybe a little 'investigation' with a screwdriver is needed ...
Thanks for the replies so far
Peace
Using a screewdriver will defenetly kill your guarantee. Mine was repaired for 0€$ ... I would try this first, as you can still offer it back when they say u have to pay few 100€$.

My screen has a weird "watermark" on it.

Ok so I don't know if watermark would be the right word. But that is the best way to describe it. I had my phone in the case in my purse. Woke up and went to use it and it had a perfect rectangle in the middle of the phone that looks like maybe the screen has been pressed to hard and never let go of. I will show a picture to let you see what I'm talking about. I've never dropped my phone. And I know nothing happened to it because I was sleeping and it was never touched. I've tried to contact htc, no response. And I purchased my phone off of craigslist so not sure on the warranty and that sort. But I am very sad and hope that maybe you guys can help me. I've searched high and low but every search comes up with nothing, or not exactly the same problem I'm having. I've soft reset and hard reset but to be completely honest with you I think that It has nothing to do with the software but the actual hardware.
Thank you in advance!
it is called newton-rings you can read more about that on wikipedia
you can find discusion in here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=531329
hope that HTC will help you with this
oh thank you so much that's all I needed was a name for it!
I have noticed a mark like yours on my screen for the past few days, just thought it was about a damp under the screen protector, so today whilst installing wm6.5 I decided to remove the screen protector, only to find that the phone no longer responded to touch screen! looks like ill be in contact with HTC tomorrow about getting it sent back for repair.
I don't know if I am completly correct when writing this, so please correct if I am totally wrong.
This is not actually, per definition, newton rings. As described on wikipedia, newton rings is reflection of light between two surfaces where one is flat and the other is spherical. The width of the light and dark rings are supposed to become smaller the further out from the center of the spherical surface you go.
I have not opened my device yet, but I have a feeling that it is som kind of fluid that is doing this. I actually have a drop of some kind of fluid (probably water) coming in from the right side of the screen, just above center.
I will post back as soon as I have opened it.
EDIT: Ok, it seems I could be very wrong as I found this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=560051
BUT, i still have drop of water (I think) coming in from the right side of the screen.

Anyone have wobble?

When pressing the left bottom corner of the screen, when it is extended? It sorta makes a clicking noise, the right side bottom corner is very solid.I ordered a replacement.I hope the same problem doesnt persist. My friends phone has the same problem. Also the battery cover is pretty lackluster always at a certain part is doesnt close fully.Just wondering if anyones phone screen is solid on both bottom corners of the screen when extended.
I have the same prob. was thinking about sending my phone in BUT first wanted to see if I could find a torque driver small enough to tighten the screws and see if that helps. Hate to send it back now that ive got it rooted and everything. Are they sending you the same phone? Did they say the new one wouldnt have this problem or did they even know?
I don't think the screws will do anything ,they are sending the same phone, but I won't know if fixed untill phone comes
.
well got new phone no wobble at all so to those that have it get it replaced
Well let us know if it starts to do it again. I tightened the screws today and it did nothing so guess ill send mine in maybe.
Sent from ROOTED MyTouch Slide
Still no problems with it,its just a defect

[Q] bight spot appeared on screen, can someone identify

https://plus.google.com/u/0/109731620376166345050/posts/cvogGsbeiGQ
don't remember anything happening to it, dropping it, stepping on it, pressing really hard. just showed up when I opened it up last night.
when you put pressure around the bright area the spot goes away.
anybody know what it could be, my best guess was screen separation.
anybody know if this might be covered under warranty?
