Google Search Call - Use Mobile Network of Smartphone for Call - Android Head-Units

Hello Guys,
I installed a Pumpkin Android Head Unit with version 4.4.4 in my old Opel Astra H.
Everything works fine so far but I have one question.
If I use the Google App trying to make a call, I always get the message "Mobilfunknetz nicht verfügbar"... Dunno exactly in english, something like "network not available". That's for sure correct like it is, because google tries to call via the integrated mobile network.
Is there a chance to use the mobile network of my connected bluetooth smartphone?
So the process should be
Speaking to my HU -> "Ok Google -> Call xyz" -> The HU passes the signal to my smartphone and I make a bluetooth call over my HU mic with the mobile network of my smartphone.
If I use the "true contacts" App everything works fine... I select a contact and I'm able to make a bluetooth call. But with a "Google Now" Search it's not possible.
Thanks for your help
Regards

thx

Why incoming call is blocked while GPRS is in transmission?

hi all,
i got a very annoying "feature" in the O2 Cosmo(T-Mobile Dash). The incoming call will be blocked(heard busy tone) if the GPRS is in transmission. I was complained by many friends.
To my understanding, there's a setting in some phones to enable both GSM/GPRS concurrent connections. Is there such setting in Windows Mobile?
My ROM is 1.13.207.2, RADIO is 4.1.13.28_02.63.90
i tried to refersh its ROM, but don't know how to CID unlock. the "RUU_Excalibur_SPL-1.11_UpgradeOnly.exe" on the server has no luck for me, still "Invalid model ID".
can anythone show light on me?
thank you
reply
I think microsoft released a patch for that: i'll try find it on google for you. can you explain what configuration you used?
I think the 'patch' you need is called 3G.
I have the exact same problem and I opened a thread on it as well.
Read here.
The conclusion we reached was that this is a network, not phone dependent problem.
yeah never happent to me ever
thanks for all the replies.
My previous phone is O2 XDA Mini S(Wizard). I used that one to receive push mail provided by GoodLink, which requires GPRS always on. I didn't have such issue with that, at least no complain from my friends.
That's why i am wondering something wrong with the RADIO configuration. I didn't make any specific change to my new O2 XDA Cosmo(Excalibur).
best regards
And back to my memory.
I used to have the classical Ericsson T39. There was a setting to enable GSM incoming call during GPRS transmission(cannot remember the exact name). By enable that, i can still receive incoming call, and the GPRS connection will auto resume after the call.
Is there similar setting for Windows Mobile?
There is not as far as I've ever known. I've used smartphones that determined which was blocked and which was not based on which application was in use at the time. That is, if you were actively using IE or some other network app, phone calls would go straight to voice mail. If a non-network app was front and center at the time, the network would be disconnected and the phone would ring. That (and the SE settings mentioned above which I saw on my SE phones too) showed that it was a phone setting made by the carrier. I'd hope there's a little more intelligence behind it than just "voice trumps network" but if there is, I couldn't tell you what determines which gets through and when.
I've found that it's based on the amount of data being transmitted at the time of the (attempted) call. For example, high-bandwith usage such as media streaming will lead to the incoming phone call being blocked/diverted most of the time, whereas sporadic usage (eg. PING, or loading a very simple web page) has allowed a call to come in, temporarily disabling GPRS. GPRS can never be used during a phone call.

Make/Rcv Phone Calls Sipdroid including video conferencing

I dont know if you guys already know this but if you are kind of annoyed by switching or waiting around for the firmware to have phone enabled. You can tried this anyway:
1. sign up for google voice if you haven't already, install apk
2. dl sipdroid from the market.
3. create an account and allow it associate with gv.
4. follow this guide
http://ifdefined.com/blog/post/How-...ee-calls-over-the-internet-using-Android.aspx
Note: The guide is only for receiving calls .
when you start the guide you should see GTALK under Trunk, / under inbound, 0 GTalk under outbound. You need this for out going calls.
if ipkalls says you already signed up that means someone already used your ISP ip address.
once you are done you should be able to make and receive calls with 3/4G or wifi...edge is kind of crappy
BTW, you can disable it under settings calls Call Screening and toggle off and confirm...so you dont have to dial 1 anymore just pick up the phone and use you BT headset.
enable 3g in sipdroid settings and now you have a phone
This also works on other tabs as well. I tested it on Galaxy Tab Tmobile(simple mobile), Galaxy Tab Sprint(wifi), Archos 101 (wifi), Zenithink wifi, Haipad wifi, and a Wifi'ed G1 works great.

Actually I use bluetooth and it works just as good on 3g as wifi while driving even. Any problems with call quality are the result of a poor 3g connection, not bluetooth.
Seems like it forks with a2dp
Alternatively, you can use fring once you are done with setup. Go to add ons and add sip info.
You can uninstall gv so you dont have to have so many dailer options

Ah, Im not using an A2DP headset at the moment, but a Voyager Pro, which is working great with every phone Ive used it with.
I've tried doing a video call using sipdroid and the image was on its side. Did they update this?
From the Tab.

The front facing camera seems bounded to portrait. I do not see any options on display it in landscape. I somehow fat fingered and got the other camera to function
BT head set Nokia BH-503 brain farts it has A2DP.
$14 PoS BT earpiece Nokia BH-104 works.
Kenwood DNX-6160 works as well.
Re: ar emoji how to make a video
Hi, regarding your video, it helps me a lot. Actually, I'm a student with a course in computer tech major in video editing. As per my instructor, he wants me to look for some of the best video makers using my android device. As I'm searching on the internet only (https://lightmv.com/ )Lightmv online free video maker. However, I need more video-makers to pass it to my instructor. if you know anything please don't hesitate to respond to my post. Thank you very much. much appreciated if you response quickly.

zte quartz watch force watch to use phones number

Like the title says is there a way to force my watch to use the phines number. Google says on there facts page it does it automatically while connected to bluetooth but it still uses the watch's number.
Sure, just go to Settings --> Connectivity --> Bluetooth --> at the bottom of the page, turn on the last option "Phone Voice Calls on Watch"
That will allow you to answer calls made to your phone from the watch and to place calls from the watch using your phones number.

Suddenly no Mobile Network connection

I have an Erisin 6046B HU in my BWW e46. I got the 3G dongle from Erisin when I bought the HU which connects via USB, and then used a SIM from iD Network in that.
It all worked perfectly yesterday - I was downloading apps and browsing in the car. But today - no network connection. Weirdly, there's no settings in the unit about mobile network - unless you use the search function and search 'network' - there you can access the network settings but its all greyed out. What I could do, was reset the network settings. But this didn't help.
I checked the SIM online and I still have plenty of data left, and iD say the SIM is active.
I'm wondering if its anything to do with me installing a dialler app (Drupe) and trying to make a call with it? I just wanted to see if that would work, out of interest - but it seemed to do something to the unit when it dialled. Afterwards the DAB app was completely silent, and only started working again today. Could I have broken the unit somehow by trying to dial out from a dialler app?!
I'm thinking the obvious step is to factory reset it.. which is annoying as I've just got it all set up perfectly!
Any other ideas?

Thanks, but I'm not tethering. The SIM is directly in the unit and was working as a normal sim. I'm not tethering at all.
And if it was that, why would it work for a day just fine?

GOOGLE VOICE Call Redirection and Bluetooth Broken Android 12 and up

Apology if this has been discussed before as I cant find it when I search it on XDA.
Anyone whether on Global variant or Tmobile
if you use Google Voice the call redirection using the phone dialer apps wont work.
You need to initiate the call using Google Voice dialer itself.
Bluetooth connection with google voice also problematic.
Its been broken since Android 12 and still broken on android 13.
It works on Android 11, HOWEVER under Android 11 the Bluetooth having No connection issues with some devices like TILE Tracker, GLINet router and etc
These problems have been reported numerous time on Oneplus website however still No Fix.
If anyone has root guide to fix it Please feel free to post
Thank you
