Any way to modify fingerprint web login passwords - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

All banking websites makes the passwords longer (as number of dot increases) on pressing the login button. After login the fingerprint scanner most probably saves that long password. Therefore fingerprint login to these sites are not successful on majority of occasions. Just wondering is there a way to modify that saved passwords in a rooted phone. Does anyone have any clue?

thankss

for me it auto changes , i had a password for my bank account that i had to change .
After first failed login , I entered the new password manually then it auto recognized it and how i use fingerprint and it gets the new password automatically

yes after failed login it remembers the manually entered pw so next time it auto logins. But the problem is the banking site always add extra characters to pw and the fingerprint scanner remembers that. So the next attempt will fail. I am feeling like a third party app is the only answer.

I use something called LastPass
Whiles its not Free and its a Cost per month, It has Fingerprint reader in the App.
And it overlays all applications.
SO if i go to my Banking app, Lastpass asks for my fingerprint to auto populate username and password.
This works for all Apps and Browsers (So far)

Paranoid: How can I monitor app web access on my phone?

Some applications store sensitive information and have internet access. For example, there are apps that ask for your Google account to back up SMS messages or access Google Reader.
I'd like to know that my password is only going to Google and not to some third party server database as well. Paranoid, yeah. But if someone gets your Google account they could practically have free reign on your life with password resets and the like.
Is there a way to monitor this traffic, or maybe even a sort of firewall app that notifies you when a secure data string is being sent over the net?
(On a related note, I can't believe Google hasn't provided a secure way to authenticate without forcing developers to ask for login information yet)

Chrome kept asking for my account password

On both my Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus, the Chrome browser kept asking for my password. I have 2-step verification setup. I tried using the generated application specific code and it didn't work. I tried my normal password, that didn't work either. I also tried the code generated by the authentication app and still no luck. I figured I must have overlooked something very simple but can't think of what. Hope you guys can help.

[Q] how to disable browser opening while connecting to free Wi-Fi

Hi,
Whenever I connect to a wifi network that requires a login with username and password, the browser is opened automatically. This is normal behavior as you have to enter a username and a password. However, I often connect to Fon networks and I have an app that does the login for me so I don't need the browser to open.
Also if I forget to switch off wifi I have several browser windows open because passing from one hot-spot to another while traveling.
Is there any way to disable this behavior?

HMA does not work

as title says I cannot make VPN work. I tried its app and manual setup. I have subscription to it. I have unrooted stock rom. Can anyone help me?
It was working on my cyanogen modded note 1.
Not had any problems setting up a VPN. I take it you have setup your lock screen.
If they have the Open VPN files try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.blinkt.openvpn
You don't need a lock screen password setup with that.

I tried to change to pin lock from fingerprint. But no use. It just cannot connect.

Maybe your device needs to be registered with HMA to be able to log in, or you already have another device logged in.
Personally I use Hide.Me, they allow multiple devices to be logged in using different credentials. And unlike HMA, they do not keep any records of your activity.

Issues with 2 Factor Authentication After Marshmallow Update?

I have a Nexus Player, that got the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. I had to remove and add a Google account back. The account has 2 Factor Authentication. The Nexus Player goes throug the process of taking the ID, Password and the 2nd factor passcode. But then, it goes to the Google Account Security Web Page and gets stuck there. If I hit the home button, then going into settings, the account has not been added. It seems Marshmallow on the NP has issues with adding a 2 Factor Authentication account. No such issues using an account that does not have 2 Factor Authentication.
Anyone else had this issue? Any way to add a 2 Factor Authentication account, without ever removing 2 Factor for any period of time?
I never had to remove 2 factor after MM. I did have to use an external mouse/keyboard though because the page would not work with the NP remote. Even with the mouse/keyboard the page still was finicky. Can't remember exactly what the issue was but I do recall the two factor putting up a fight.
Just ran into this myself. Enabled 2FA on my Google account and when trying to confirm my credentials on my trusty Nexus Player, it would never bring up an option to enter my verificaiton code after password. Part of it would crash. I did get around this by logging into my Google account on my computer and creating a specific app password to use with my NP instead but it is disheartening that 2FA is broken on the NP with Marshmallow.
