Hi all,
Are there any settings hidden deep within, or apps you would recommend to schedule sound profiles?
For example, between 9 - 5, half ringtone volume, turn on wifi etc.
Thanks!
With root you have tasker or llama

I don't want to trip Knox by rooting my S7 while it's still in warrenty
You don't need root to use Tasker for those functions

I use sound profile, from the market it's great, get home, connects to Wi-Fi, turns off Bluetooth, lowers ring volume, leave home, Wi-Fi disconnected, turns on Bluetooth when I get in the car, get to work, connects to work Wi-Fi, turns off Bluetooth, sets ringtone to loud, it's a great app, well worth a try.

Install the free version and have a play, I would recommend reading the help file as well, also the developer is quick to respond to any questions.

Strange. I have it on my OPO - CyanogenOS built-in, called System Profiles. Maybe its only on CMOS and not Marshmallow!

Call sprint
sent from nowhere
You could call her # and see how it answers. This # has been disconnected... or similar would be account/billing issue. If it just rings or goes to voicemail, then it's the phone, I guess. Try re-provision, or maybe go to settings, system updates and update PRL and Profile

Do you have the phone in your hand? If not, and this sounds especially silly, but have her check to make sure airplane mode is off.
Try texting and calling her from your phone.
As already suggested, have her update prl and profile (this will likely not work since you need some sort of functional network to update these)
Can she connect to wifi? If so, there are apps out there, such as "nag" that I would suggest installing and seeing what kind of network, if any at all, the phone is using. If she cannot, she may have a hardware failure.
Honestly, I'm just throwing things at the wall and hoping something sticks.

YESSSS she paid her bill and the Airplane mode was not on ... i tried everything i could (on a non-rooted phone) then she took to Sprint and they couldn't even fix it so she is getting a new phone... i assume is hardware problems
but thanks for trying guys
I just can't figure out what has happened and how to fix this. When I use my Bluetooth headset to make a call I say the name I want to dial. Now it has started automatically going to speakerphone and not letting me use the Bluetooth. Is there some setting to correct this?
This just started happening to me too. I've checked through all my settings, and can't find anything. I thought it might be the ROM I'm running but haven't had time to flash back to stock and see.

No I'm on Stock ROM not Rooted I now have to pull my phone out and manually change it to Bluetooth because it by default for some reason now goes speakerphone. Although I voice dialed by Bluetooth.

Me too, and as I'm a driver by trade it is extremely annoying. It defeats the purpose of having a hands free device in the first place. I've tried Googling this up to no avail. Just our little thread here on XDA.

BTW I'm running Pure Nexus 2016-06-21, ElementalX, and xposed.
Maybe a guru will be able to help us out I also am a Truck Driver and hands free calling is a must. I tried a different headset. Still same thing says the name of the person you are calling followed by Mobile. Then Speakerphone. I hadn't added any new apps just can't figure this one out.

I hope so. It's just strange that I can find nothing about this online. Also that we are running very different setups. I was convinced that this was an issue with the rebase of the ROM I'm using, but if you're on unrooted stock...Hmm.

I just rooted on the t mobile U firmware and I have a few of the common issues. The video calling option isnt there. The wifi password wont save and a few other minor issues. I fixed the wifi password not staying. Now I just wanna salve this video calling issue. The option to turn it on isnt even in the settings. Im just wondering what the most stable set up you guys have seen. The U firmware. The U firmware flashing the cp from t mobile or just the straight t mobile firmware.
If you search for ROOT Samsung S7 Edge, you'll find the issue with the WiFi very quickly. You have to download an app, and change a setting within it to keep it saved. Video calling, never concerned with it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/guide-post-root-common-bugs-fixes-t3427600
Video calling is specific to the carrier's custom OS that they use for their phones. That is why you do not see it as an option in the U firmware. It isn't carrier branded. But if you are on tmo, then you should be able to download their video calling app and have it auto integrate into the U firmware for use as normal. Never used it on the S7, so haven't tried it. I did bake it into a few ROMs before that were tmo and it worked fine.

Refer to that link to get video calling working correctly. I am on the tmo U firmware and just tried video calling my wife and it worked as intended. Hope this helps you out. Oh, and just search for volte settings under the actual settings menu of the phone to insure that it is turned on.

I have volte turned on with the icon showing but when I place a call the HD icon does not show within the dialer. How do I know if it is working?
If the other persons carrier supports the function, then a green icon that looks like a camera will show up allowing you to tap it to send a request to the other person. If they accept the request then the video call and HD calling will commence. Now as far as regular old HD calling, once Volte is enabled, every call is considered an HD call as long as you are on an lte tower. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

And what firmware did you install, exactly? Go into Settings, About Phone, am am looking for both the base and version and Build Number.
A screen shot would probably save time, if you don't want to type all of it out.

here it is
The only thing left to check is that the CSC and related stuff updated when it flashed. KNOX Status Samsung (Found on the Play Store) can display this information.
If it all updated correctly, it should look like this:
Device: Galaxy S7 Edge
Model number: SM-G935F
Android version: 7.0 (Nougat)
Android security patch level: January 1, 2017
Baseband version: G935FXXU1DQB1
Kernel version: 3.18.31-10422490
Build number: NRD90M.G935FXXU1DQB3
AP: G935FXXU1DQB3
CP: G935FXXU1DQB1
CSC: G935FOXA1DQB1
Release date: January 7, 2017
The big one should be the CSC, your country code. G935F "OXA" is the country code for the UK, G935F "MEO" is Portugal. Looking around, on an unlocked phone, the CSC being incorrect may cause issues.
If everything looks like it does posted above, then you might have to wipe and reload it. G935FXXU1DPLT is the UK 7.0 original firmware, G935FXXU1DQB3 is the update. Maybe try loading the DPLT first and see if that helps?

Speaking strictly from a cellular tower perspective, it sounds like your phone isn't either properly transmitting it's registration request, or the command channel isn't being received correctly.
If it's not staying registered on a tower, the cellular system has no idea where your phone is, assumes it's off or out of range, and goes directly to your voicemail.
The firmware & Samsung S7 phones for the UK use the same type of GSM (2G)/UMTS (3G)/LTE (4G) frequencies as Portugal Samsung S7 phones, the control channels might be different. When your phone isn't being used (no data is transmitting, screens off, etc), your phone is trying to talk to your cellular providers towers. It's very low data, low usage talking, but it's how the system knows where you are.
If the radio channel that your phone uses to tell the network where you are is talking to the wrong channel, then you get missed calls. Some of this programming may be programmed into the firmware itself.
When something makes your data connection kick in, it re-registers with the tower, and that's when you get your voicemail notifications and such.
When you load a different county / region's firmware, especially a completely upgraded one like Android 7, you always run the risk that the basic phone functions won't work properly.
I checked in the app that you said, and it looks like you said. The storage thing is that the Phone is always connected to the tower, the 3g is always connected and im always usina the Internet. http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/58b68f13d9156/Screenshot_20170301-090511.png?

Sorry for the necro bump, but I have scoured the internet looking for an answer to this issue, which sounds exactly like mine.
I have this issue using a Verizon branded s7 Edge with official US Nougat firmware on Total Wireless. Everything works fine on Android 6.0.1, but any Android N 7.x official Samsung firmware I use calls will go directly to Voicemail upon rebooting the device. It also says searching for service, data works, and I can make a call. As soon as I make a call everything corrects itself and the phone will work perfectly until I reboot again.
Hi, I'm Nexus 6P user and yesterday I flashed AOSP Extended ROM. But I find my nexus cannot receive ANY incoming calls(message, outgoing call and LTE works well). The antenna icon displays a right triangle with 'X'. So I re-installed ROM, but it still not works. Have any ideas? Thanks.

switch to 3g instead of lte and calls will work. its a known issue
Is there a Pie ROM that solves the problem? I tried several Pie ROMs, but all had the same problems and eventually had to go back to 8.1.0.
