Hey ladies
Got my second S7 EDGE yesterday and the SIM card tray is not flush with the device and I'm not happy about this as this is a expensive phone.
Should I get them to replace it?

Yep, I've seen a few people post this issue. I would definitely get it replaced. it's supposed to be flush.
Mine was bent from factory where the hole is so it's above the rest of the body. However new ones can be bought cheap so I would not bother with a replacement if the phone is fine otherwise.

This nonsense would never EVER pass QA at an iPhone production facility. What a joke.
Get it replaced because the flushness of the tray is what also helps with the IP68 water resistance rating.

Just curious, got a 'new' phone on eBay because mine was stolen on the 26th. The phone I got does work fine and appears to be new, no dings, nothings. When I took it out of the package the plastic that was on the screen was not the one that came with the phone that shows the location of buttons and says 'remove before use' and it was not in the security sealed plastic.
Just curious, how do refurb phones show up to anyone who's got one?
I got a refurb from verizon just a few days ago. It came without a back plate, battery, or sd card. It had a protective sticker right on the front that said "factory recertified". It also had an amoled screen, which my previous did not

Is it possible to replace just the shiny metal painted bezel? my GF dropped my note and the bezel is pretty messed up right now.
I did the same, dropped mine on the road getting out of the car. I think but might be proved wrong that the only way is to buy the full outside case. Have looked on ebay but can't find a rose gold one only silver

well this is theoreticly the frame but i don't know if its possible to seperate the Display from the old frame..
Gotta say, swapping out the bezel was way easier on the Note 1

This gf of yours has crossed the line, she has no regard for your possessions, nor does she even care that the damage done to your beautiful precious smartphone has made it look hideous.
She must be punished and must now sacrifice one of her precious belongings so this incident can be put behind you and resolved..
Good luck

Funny the same thing happened to me, I've thought about replacing the bezel as well but I learned to deal with it. In regards to your girlfriend dropping it........ She still alive?

Hi guys,
There is some news surfacing that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants are nano coated, both from the outside and inside. Thus, if true, will repel water, even if water gets passed the rubber seals that protect it internally. Any one know whether this is true?

My S7E spent around 20 seconds in the shallow end of a swimming pool a few weeks back.
Whilst it still works, I had problems for at least a week afterwards, and my battery can be unpredictable. Both cameras were misted up for over a week.
So, my S7E clearly isn't nano-coated because water got into it and caused some problems.
Regards,
Dave

False.
The phone has oring seals to keep water out.
The glass and glue act as a seal to stop water from getting it.
Headphonr jack is sealed. Mic and speaker have a fine mesh screen that stoo water drops from getting in.
No nano costiing.
Go to fixit and look at the tear down
Whats the deal here, had an issue and called tech support, looked like an RMA and one of the steps was to verify the water sticker inside the sim slot didn't get wet and the pattern of small x's was still pink and visible. Mine was but I had been tempted to stick it in the sink for fun but now no way. Doesn't this seem odd?

Not really, the sim/sd slot is the only non sealed from the factory part of the phone so it's going to be the spot where the phone is most likely to fail first. They're just directing where your old phone is headed once they receive it. I'm sure they have a whole dept dedicated to water damage alone.

I was fixing my N6p battery cover, by my bad luck i damaged the nfc coil.
Now it is dead, and looking for a new one, I seem not to be able to find it anywhere.
Even with the full battery cover. Does anybody replaced their coil?

The replacement covers on parts4repair.com (China) show the NFC sticker with the cover. I'd verify that with them before ordering though.
Edit- Just noticed that only the graphite cover shows the NFC sticker pictured. Weird.

Leys see their reply, if they do so.
But only Graphite has the sticked nfc coil. Pity a part lile this is nowhere in the market.

They said, the Graphite one comes with NFC coil, ordered, waiting, will confirm upon arrival.
NFC Coil is not coming with this backcover, the photo is "wrong" as the factory doesn't produce it with coil anymore.
That was their final answer
So I am now stuck with a dead NFC Coil.
Anybody ever looked for this? maybe if I find a service point of Huawei, will be able to find the part? (suggestions?)
What I did, is to use the heat gun to remove the NFC antenna from the old cover, and paste it into the new one.
I was disappointed to see that the back cover wasn't complete just before putting it. (I was trying to fix the power button. So I had 2 options, swap the power buttons or swap the nfc antenna and use the new shining back cover, I chose the second option and worked great so far.... I'm not an NFC user but I will start using Android Pay in a few weeks maybe...so I put one travel card and got some info like "mirafare app" blablabla so NFC seems to be working after the movement. ).
Yeah, let me know if anyone finds the NFC replacement. I had to reuse the old one and I didn't do a good job of removing it. Still works but my OCD kicks in just thinking about what's on the other side of the cover.

I purchased this rear housing http://www.ebay.com/itm/172144241461
It came with the NFC chip already attached. I was pretty happy, it took me forever to find one.
