USB Sync cable driver

Hi all,
Just got myself an 02 Exec and so far am pretty pleased with the device.
I've just bought it in to work with me expecting to be able to sync without issue although I need a driver
My disc is at home, and I really wanna get synced today. I've searched for the driver without success, can anyone grab the required file off their disk for me? would be much appreciated!
HI,
the driver is not all you need, as a WM2K5 device, it will only sync with active sync 4.x. So .. just download AS4 .. and sync ;-)
- Superbowl
You need Active Sync 4.0 not a driver.
Thanks for the replies peeps, however I don't think this is the case.
I have AS 4.0 with me although it's when I first plug in my Exec that it asks me to install this driver.
With AS 4.0 installed it just can;t find my device, the same happened to me at home. I just went into device manager and browsed the offending hardware to the CD where it installed the driver and then AS 4.0 could see my Exec.
Any ideas as to where I can find this driver?
Do you have full admin rights to the PC?
I am on a locked down one where I can't change anything.
Before I got the tech dudes to install AS, the PC kept asking for drivers.
Can't say much more, that's just what happened to me.
I think the message was 'installing windows mobile device...' and then wanting the driver.
Hi mate,
Yeah sure I have full admin rights. I'm really don't think AS4.0 will solve this as like I say the same happened at home until I installed this driver from the applications CD that came with my Exec.
Anymore ideas?
Try it on a different USB port.
I see this happen with a lot of devices. Plug it in one port, Windows doesn't recognize. Plug it to the next one, and it works.
i have to turn me JJ off for 5 secs, then plug into usb and its fine, if i do it when its on i get a malfunctioning usb device pop on my pc
I`m having similare problems....
Full Admin rights
Windows XP SP2
AV4.0 installed
But keep getting "not Connected" whenever I hover over the AV4 icon.
and I have checked that my AV4 on my Exec has "Synchronize all PCs using this connection".
After reinstalling a few times.
Am very stuck....
check this out....

Many many thanks...
Seem like I need to spend a little more time on the MS Windows Mobile site.
Thanks for the help chaps.
Seems AFTER installing AS 4.0 I then went to device manager and clicked the offending hardware after which it installed the driver.
Thanks for the help

Should work on 32bit, but if its the 64 then problems with drivers. Go into Device manager ans see if you have the driver problem there. update the driver.
Russ
Sorted.
it was an uninstalled driver in device manager.
i activated my live services but keep getting a cannot get information or something like that when i go to download something.

Nexus 7 not connecting to anything.

Hey everyone,
I purchased a Nexus 7 today and have had a major headache trying to get the thing to connect to my laptop (running windows 8) through either mtp, adb or fastboot.
-I have tried the stock cable and the cable for my htc sensation and nothing works.
-tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADB/fastboot drivers
-tried installing the official asus nexus 7 usb driver
-tried enabling and disabling usb debugging
-tried switching between mtp and the other one
-tried plugging in in fastboot
none of this made my nexus 7 show up on the computer in anyway, not even in device manager. tried all on my dads windows 7 pc too but nothing worked on there either.
On top of this the bloody thing will only charge via usb and the mains whilst its switched off! when its off and plugged in a moving battery level icon comes up but whilst on there is no evidence of it charging.
Am i stuck using it like this or is there a way i can fix this? Any help would be massively appreciated, i have tried everything
Really desperate for some help here if anybody can spare some time?
if you just got it take it back to the store and get a new one. Seems like a defective unit

Thanks for the reply, thought that may be the case
i had the same issue, later to find out that my pc registered my nexus table under a different name, sometime it's under android phone or android device in device manager , you need to right click on it in device manager to uninstall than connect your nexus table back to your pc , you should see it under the right name

Weird USB connection problem - any ideas?

Hello all. I've got a problem with my N4 in that when I connect it to a PC via USB, the PC does not recognize any connection at all. It's not even saying "unknown device", just nothing. I've tried connecting it to multiple PC's (win 7, Win 8, Win 10) and with multiple USB cables, but I don't get anything. The only time I get something at all is if I turn on USB debugging on the N4. In this case, the PC recognised that a device has been connected, but doesn't seem to know what it is as it can't find the correct drivers to install.
This used to work fine on my Win7 machine, so I'm not sure what's changed. Anyone got any ideas what I can try to fix it?
Thanks for any help.
What I noticed before I replaced my USB port was that the port was worn out. It would charge/work with a brand new high quality cable, but wouldn't work right with an older cable.
As cables vary in quality and the data pins are different than the power pins, try cleaning the lint out of your USB port and try connecting with a brand new cable.
Just thinking out loud.
I am just going to toss this out there as one thing to check, as I know it affected me on Win8, and I think MS may have pushed out to the other versions if you did not revert the driver update yourself. http://www.eightforums.com/drivers-...usb-issue-since-last-windows-8-1-updates.html
Thanks for the link. that solved the problem. Once I set the connection to MTP. all PC's now recognise the device again. Many thanks!

Awesome, glad that worked for you. That URL is a godsend, and should be a sticky, because that USB situation will have you pulling your hair out.

Looks like the drivers in your PCs are not compatible. Get the correct drivers and try.
When some other drivers get installed, sometimes the existing drivers cease to work. I have faced this issue and solved it by installing correct drivers again.
You can also use NRT for this.

Cannot connect to PC via USB cable

Hi there!
Since the latest bigger Windows 10 update (4-5 weeks ago) Win does not recognise my phone. I can charge it, but there is no data connection between the two. I always use the latest Xiaomi.EU ROM and I can only blame the Windows for this. There no TING sound upon connection and I do not see my phone in My Computer. I tried to (re)install drivers, but does not happen to work after several updates (different versions). It really annoys me, because it's hard to transfor big or many smaller files over WiFi, but anyways I think we can all agree on the importance of cable connection.
I tried two different cables and 4 different USB slots on PC.
Does someone have the working drivers for me?
Thanks!
I dont see my phone on my pc either but i do have a connection, as in i am able to push files to my phone with adb commands. Also i do get a ting sound when connecting but i just don't see my phone on my pc. Like 2 weeks or so ago i could see my phone on my pc but not anymore so maybe you're right about it being the windows update.
Thank you for your input. I found this topic and his software helped me. I deleted every previous ADB softwares and drivers, installed his and my phone now is showing in My Computer!
