Speaker issues - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answer

Hey guys, im having issues when sometimes the speaker just shuts off even though something is playing and I have to turn down the volume or close everything and start it up again for it to sound again, im scared this is a defective speaket issue or if water was the cause of it, ive washed my phone twice with water cause of ketchup incidents but its never been submerged in water, ive heard the phone has like sticker that turns red to trigger warranty against water is this true? What should I do? Because I can probably get it replaced by tmobile but im scared they will say its waters fault and make me pay for device? Suggestions?

Right...it could be an app that's tied to sound bro. I know one person updated there software but they had frozen apps. Only a reset can get you back. In my case I had oculus corrupted.

Speaker stopped working

Hi,
I've had my S4 for about 3 days now and today all of a sudden the rear speaker has stopped working. No sound comes out of it at all, including notifications, screen lock sounds, touch sounds and any other sound. I have restarted multiple times but there is still no sound. If I plug in some headphones then I can hear the sound through them, so the problem seems to be related just to the main speaker.
Please help me
Is it brand new. Can you take it back?
Are you rooted? Flash another ROM?

I wouldn't say a lot, but I do use them for an hour or two every night before I go to bed. I used them briefly for about 10 minutes earlier today but the speaker randomly stopped working a few hours after that.
I think I even heard when the speaker malfunctioned because as I touched the screen the touch sound cut out about half way through, though I thought nothing of it. Only now do I realize that there hasn't been any sound out the speaker since then.
Oh because i had that problem lots of times but its because i had headphones in while i switched the phones off or if it went dead while they were plugged in. Then when i restart the phone without them plugged in the phone still thinks there connected when there not so how i fixed it is that i plugged them in and out really fast. Its worth a try but i doubt it will work in your case

Well nothing I tried worked, so I'm guessing it was a hardware malfunction (my guess is that the speaker blew somehow).
I went back to the store today and they gave me a new S4 with no hassle. Just a little disappointed that I spent all weekend setting it up and customising it and now I have to do it all again.
Heres hoping this one lasts more than 4 days lol.

Lol. Been abusing my i9500 like crazy since june. No issues so far. So your unit must have been faulty from the beginning.

Build quality

Guys had my phone for about a week.
Im not too sure if this has been happening since i got it or not..
But if i gently shake my device it feels like something is loose around the camera module or in the camera
Can anyone confirm if this is a known thing?

That's normal. The rattle you hear is the auto focus mechanism moving. My S5 does that too as do several others.

Haptic feedback randomly stops working until reboot

Randomly my haptic feedback stops and won't come back until I reboot. Anyone else have this issue?
Yes. It's annoying. Don't understand why. Also my apps well randomly not be available. I have to uninstall and reinstall. Super frustrating

I feel like Samsung phones are RPG based and they only have a certain amount of points to use so they take the IR Blaster and add the SD slot back, they add water resistance and locked the boot loader. Why can't they just give without taking?

This happens to me as well. Is this a software issue? I have an international version, though.

RMA question

So my phone has a loose USB port and I want to RMA it because I keep losing my android auto connection because of it. So now the question is if I RMA my phone with a few drops and a cracked screen will I be charged for it? Then if that's the case then would i just be better off replacing my phone through the Nexus plan I bought? Just wondering your guys take from your experiences. Thanks!

They are probably going to say that the drops caused the loose connection.

1. I had a 6P replaced on RMA because the auto rotate was sticking, but it was in pristine condition.
2. If you have a cracked screen due to a few drops, yes they will say it could have caused the loose connection, and you can't say it didn't.

Damn well maybe I'm better off paying the 80 bucks through the insurance than to have Google send me a new phone

I wouldn't say that's petty at all. It's entirely likely that you dropping the phone numerous times has actually caused the fault you're talking about.

I guess having wear because my phone is constantly connected to my car for Android auto wouldn't cause this issue either huh? It's not in horrible condition just a few scuff marks on the corners of the phone and a crack screen. It's whatever though I'll just return the reconditioned phone if that's how they want to be.

I'm not saying it's definitely what caused it, it's more likely to have caused it than plugging/unplugging or being connected though, which makes a warranty refusal justified.

LG G6 Vibration stopped.

I seemed to have this issue with an old V10 but I thought maybe after 2 years the motor just got old. This phone is still new and I have lost all vibration function. Has this happened to anyone else yet or does anyone know if there is something I can do to confirm a defect/fix?
Have you used Smart Doctor app to diagnose and see if it picks up anything?

I'm looking for that app and only finding things for human health...do you know the company name?
Are your sure it's not an setting or something software related? If a factory reset does not resolve then you likely have an hardware problem. I had a hardware issue on my G5 like that. Motor didn't work for weeks, then one day I dropped it worked fine ever since.

Lucky you. I wish mine breaks I hate the vibrator in Android phones. They all feel so cheap. I want it gone when unlocking the phone too but I can't. It makes the phone feel cheaper than it looks with its poor vibrator feel (and sound).
Happened to me last night, LG G600S

Yes. Or at least I believe so as when battery saver engages the finger print sensor also stops providing vibration feedback.

launch lg g6 (LG-H871 rev 1.0) - opening weekend. Vibrate function completely died yesterday.
Using vibrate app to test - no results on manual press. shaking the phone yielded no results. Gonna get a replacement.
Glad to know Im not the only one getting this issue
Did you manage to find a solution? Mine just started doing the same. Vibration stopped, checked with vibration test apps, booted in safe mode, factory reset and nothing. I'd rather not send the phone for repair and warranty is out of the question.
Damn I'm not happy to see this thread. Mine seemed to have stopped today. Not sure why or how. I'm gonna have to do some digging and see what's going on
Mine just started the same thing. No vibration at all!
Same issue here. Vibration stopped working, no way to get it to work again.
Mine also has stopped. No feedback from the keyboard, fingerprint sensor or vibration from calls/texts.
I plan on reaching out to LG today to see what I can figure out.
Anybody have any luck on finding a fix yet?
Can you guys please also share your model number- European, US, single or dual sim, bootloader unlocked or not, rooted or not, any particular action after which vibration stopped working.
Thanks in advance.
I know that this is really going to help anyone, but someone on Reddit had the same problem, then it started working again.
