Hi, I was using an old version of Hisuite: 1.8.10.2806 because the newer ones doesn't synchronize contacts and agenda with Outlook.
Even the synch process was extremely slow some times, at least the synch was done.
Today Hisuite told there was a new update: 1.8.10.2906, so I accepted to update and.... discovered that it was not a 1.8.10.xxxx updating, it went to the last Hisuite version, 4.0.x, that doesn't have the synchronization feature...
Is there any way to go back to 2806? The last installation module I have is 2006.... and I am not able to find 2606, 2706 or 2806 any place.
Thanks for any help.

Hello all,
Today I tried to update my SGS to 2.2 using KIES. When connected KIES told me I have an upgrade to do. GREAT! Finally I got FROYO...
But, After download my device stopped in DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET message.
The solution is simple but nothing obvious. The problem is the version of KIES!
Samsung released KIES 2.0 and the old 1.5 can't upgrade it self. So, I uninstalled the old software and installed the new one. VERY easy after that. Everything was quick and clean. A simple reboot and the device was waked up again.
The only thing I lose was my desktop configuration! Everything else was in their place (photo, contacts, softwares...).
I hope This tip can help someone.
All the best,
Joubert Vasconcelos
A few weeks ago I updated my firmware to froyo via Kies, which worked, no data loss, so great.
Today Kies offered the latest firmware, so I agreed. Selected the back up options and continued. A window popped up to say backup failed, but the firmware upgrade continued with no option to stop it. This also failed and left my phone unusable. Kies firmware recovery didn't work either. I got my phone back working with Oden3 and I9000XWJV1 firmware. So now I'm running v2.3.2. Unfortunately because the backup failed I lost all my account details, contacts and apps.
The main reason for upgrading was I wanted to use a SIP account and my friends Nexus running Gingerbread had this option, but my i9000 still does not.
To get the SIP account option, will I need to root the phone and install a custom firmware? Or are there any apps which will let me use my SIP account on the i9000.

I'm not surprised that after 7 hours no one has bothered to reply
1) Kies offers a firmware upgrade recovery option from the pull-down menu - its happened to me...it works
2) Why did you install JV1 via Odin? - its a GB beta release and is notoriously flakey...I can't imagine a worse option. You need to use any of the stable 2.3.3 firmwares, the latest being JVO and available from Samfirmware.com
3) Your account details are pretty easy to enter aren't they? Losing your contacts is dumb....the whole point of this technology is that you sync to your gmail account so you never need to worry about trashing your phone or losing it...just log on to another and away you go.
Sorry to sound harsh mate but your post is just a lesson to anyone else who doesn't follow some common sense rules.
Fortunately you haven't bricked your phone....recommend you do (2) above, then do some reading on here about backing up, how to use your google account properly, not saving contacts on your phone .....and generally getting the most out of your £350 piece of kit
Thanks for the reply. I installed that firmware from a quick Google (I was at work when Kies messed up my phone and very busy). I just popped over to SamFirmware and downloaded the latest firmware (XXJVO), which Odin3 installed without loosing my apps, etc (just a few settings as you would expect). All appears well, for now.
Spent some time Googling last night and I found CSipSimple, which works nicely with my SIP account.
Still Not sure why my contacts where not saved to the google account, it had 5 of them. Also loosing all my apps meant I could take a look at alternatives, which proved fruitful. Contacts now saved to my SD, but can't find a way of backing up my apps unless I root the phone...I think I'll give that a miss.
I hate to bother you all on here, it's been so long I forgot my old username! So, I have a developer account with Microsoft and they can't help me with this one. My phone was starting to act unstable and I flashed my ROM back to factory settings... the problem was that I forgot to switch DFRouter back to Zune mode. I changed the DIAG back by using the ##634# function and can connect and sync with Zune perfectly. When I try to use the Windows Phone Developer Registration app it is unable to recognize the device. The only info I was referred to by Microsoft to fix this issue was here: support.microsoftDOTcom/kb/2537993 . I have performed these steps numerous times and it doesn't work! Others who had unlock issues with the Arrive seem to have had luck with this. I have uninstalled both Zune and the SDK and reinstalled. I have even removed the phone from the AppHub site as a registered phone to avoid conflict. If anyone is able to help me on this one I will be eternally grateful!!!!!!!!!!
Still have not received the mango update. I've been searching and researching this issue for more than 4 months with no luck.
When connecting to zune, it says my phone is up to date with current software version: 7.0 (7392)
i have tried the "walshed" phone fix but that was not the issue.
also, the phone doesnt seem to have full functionality with WPDM and whenever i try and install a .xap file, the application wont launch after being installed on my phone.
the reason i am this desperate is because i want to back up all of my text messages on this phone. my mother passed away recently and it would means a great deal to me that i keep those conversations. if i am able to do this without installing mango, then that is fine by me.
my logic in installing mango is that all of the latest apps such as smsbackup require an unlocked mango device.
i have tried installing WP7 Root Tools so that smsbackup is able to operate on this lg device.
any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance

To backup all SMS and all messages in Messages tile, use SMSBackup. Then try to flash your phone with Telstra ROM, here is the guide.
Note #1: Your phone must be network unlocked first before flashing because you might not be able to enter unlock code once you flashed it to Telstra ROM. The only solution is re-flash to its original ROM then enter unlock code then flash it to Telstra ROM again. You can buy unlock in Ebay.com and price is as cheap as chip.
Note #2: The reason that I suggested Telstra ROM is because it is the only network that give the latest Mango update for LG Quantum, but no sign of Tango.
Hello everyone.
I have Huawei P9 Lite handset, on stock firmware VNS-L31C02B125. I cannot update the phone OTA, and I cannot update HiSuite. The OTA in the phone itself says there are no updates available, and the HiSuite gets stuck on 16% when it tries to install. I have uninstalled and reinstalled HiSuite, but it installs the earlier version and won't update. My husband has the same phone, bought at the same time from the same place (Vodafone UK) and his has already updated a few weeks ago. I have had a look at the firmware finder app, but the versions shown there all come up as incompatible or unavailable, due to them having been removed.
I have never rooted my phone, installed a custom rom, or custom recovery, etc.
I would be grateful for any help you can give me. Thank you for your time.
Same thing here. Hope somebody has the solution!
Any help here guys and gals? My hubby has the same phone, bought on the same day, and his updated weeks ago. I want to update my phone to Nougat, and it shouldn't be too difficult to do.
solved

I had this exact problem. Look in task manager and you may find that something from Hisuite is still running. If you end task on it the update should complete.
