Hi Everyone,
I have a Note 4 I bought a year ago whenever it came out..
Just a day ago it completely switched off and died, I could start it but it would switch off a few minutes later.
I have an issue of it charging, I have used different chargers, cables etc. but no hope it just won't charge and the LED light won't light up anymore when plugged in. I even used a powerbank but no use at all.
Can someone help me and tell me what to do with it ?
I was having battery issues for the last one month with it switching off at about 15-20 %
Is it a issue with the micro USB port or is it a battery issue? If it is a battery issue wouldn't it have atleast showed me it was charging? I hope I didn't burn off the port or something
Mine did the same thing. Dead Motherboard.
Got it replaced on my warranty.
This seems like a hardware issue.
It might be your battery. I would try to use another battery first.

Hi.I received a xda min s in monday and after a day of use the battery is discharged so I charged the phone with computer's usb port and the charging led is switched on. When I came back I tried to turn on the phone but it seems dead ... It is on just a few times and went off immediately after the first screen.
Anyone can help me ? Thanks
Hi,
Just been through the same with mine. Thought it was the battery, so got a new one via ebay. Had the same problem, long story short, it turned out to be the usb cable, changed it and new battery charging fine. Looks like the old battery was fried as will not accept a charge any longer. The cable fault was rapidly discharging the battery, even though it indicated it was being charged. Hope that helps.
In first, i'm sorry for my bad english.
I have my trinity since one year, and since 2 weeks i can't charge it. When i connect my phone with usb cable, the red led light but blink, and the phone show 100% charge. But when i disconnect it, battery isn't full. I bought a new battery but the problem is the same. I thinck, i'm going to buy an external charger for my both battery. But before i want to know if anybody have the same problem and perhaps a solution.
Hi All
I have a Galaxy S1. Its about 14 months old. Have been running various firmware/roms on it without issues.. Recently though I seem to be having an issue where the phone just turns off by itsself, then when I turn it back on it reports its out of battery. If I plug the charger in it will say it is completly charged after like 10 minutes. Same thing happens with USB charger in PC or wall charger.
I will admit I have dropped the phone a few times =)
Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. Curious if its maybe an issue with short battery life (1 yr??) the phone its self has issues, or me having dropped it one to many times. I assume its going to be an issue with the battery itsself so will probs get another one for $20 but just wanted to check if anyone having the same issue.
thanks
Last week my phone started not charging properly, with the charging cable plugged in it would seem to randomly stop and then start charging again. I tried a few different chargers and it was the same, sometimes it would charge and others times not, but eventually it stopped charging all together and the battery died.
I thought the charging port might have gone faulty, so I ordered a new one and replaced it, but it still didn't charge. So, I bought a new battery and tried that, the phone booted up fine and worked but again, it still wouldn't charge.
I'm assuming something must be broken on the motherboard, but I don't really want to spend any more on it and the phone is out of warranty,so I just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions I can try before I have to sell it for parts?
Cheers
IDK but maybe small smd fuses..

today my op5 stopped charging after dying down in the morning (atleast thats what i'm expecting)
first i thought maybe its charger issue or socket issue but after checking them to be OK i thought maybe charging port of mobile is out
but just atm i connected my phone to computer to saw that its actually connecting to my computer showing
"qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 com 5 connected"
Can anyone point out whats the issue exactly to my phone
at the same time i requested for a repair up also through their official website but still couldnt be able to figure out if its hardware issue or software
I have the same issue intermittently. Originally cleaning the port seemed to fix the problem then it came back. Sometimes it wouldn't charge at all, other times it would slow charge but not fast charge. Now it's back to fast charging as long as the cord isn't stressed. I ordered a charging port and if I can get the damn thing open I'll replace it and the battery.

Thanks mate ..good to know I'm not only one
I already requested for a repair if the problem is regarding Charging port and battery then I guess it won't be a huge setback on my wallet (<$100)
But now If I think about it..yeah I do face minor issue when charging ..sometimes it don't straight away do fast charge or so and stick to basic charge and then after some time it goes to its fast charge
Sounds like it's very similar to my issue. My phone is about 16 months old and out of warranty. My battery shows 82% health. Was as low as 81 percent but it went back up a percent. Lol.
One morning it died overnight which never happens. I believe I went to bed with between 30+40 percent and usually plug in when my alarm goes off in the morning and it's charged by the time I hit snooze the third time. This time something must have drained the battery. It only happened once and never again. It usually takes a long time to drain the last 1/3 of the battery and it doesn't drain much overnight when it's low.
The charging port I can understand having an issue because I work in the woods and it gets gunk in the port from my work vest (bits of tree branches etc). I had to clean it several times and it fixed charging issues then but not lately. I wanted to buy a replacement battery while they were still easily available and not very old. Now I'm not too rushed to fix it because it's been charging okay again recently and the battery is still almost impossible for me to kill in a day despite being at 82% health. That and I couldn't get the screen off with the suction cups I have.
Tried to print some pictures from my phone at Walmart today from my phone and it wouldn't connect via their usb c cable. I guess it's time to fix it sooner than later. Last time I had to transfer pics was for work onto the server at work. It worked but I had to keep from moving the phone at all or it would disconnect.
