I recently (2 weeks ago) got a new Turbo 2, but have yet to receive the Marshmallow update. I know I'm simply impatient, but the wait is killing me and I am wondering if I can simply apply the update using RSD Lite? Or would that wipe my phone in the process? I just can't seem to find another way to force the update to show up.
Thanks in advance.
Verizon suspended Marshmallow update to Droid Turbo 2 on March 25. Confirmed by both VW and Motorola/Lenovo. Sited issues with BT connectivity, micro SD card reading, wired turbo charging and 4g calling.

I have the Droid Turbo 2 through Verizon.. The Marshmallow update popped up on my device about a week or so ago and I ignored it. I thought if there was going to be a root for this phone, it would be before the update... So i waited.
Now though, when I go to download marshmallow or do/search for the update, it says I'm up to date (yet it says i have v5). It won't seem to detect the v6 update.
I've been looking all over on what I can do to update. I've tried using the Verizon android update app, but it wont detect my phone (???) and there's no way to do the update using Fastboot. And I'm not clearing the Google Services Framework as I've read way too much on how it can mess up the device.
Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this?
I think Verizon pulled the update a day or two after it went live. Probably due to some reported issues. I don't think they've made it available again yet.
I'll bet if it has been pulled for additional testing, we won't see an update until after the April security patch is published by Google (and maybe they'll also throw in wifi calling?).

We have three Droid Turbo 2's since November. The first two got the update "on time", downloaded and installed both parts with no problem. The third one, however, was never offered the update, and then over the last couple of weeks, despite checking for updates several times a day, it was never offered on that phone.
I tried connecting the phone to my own laptop (a Dell XPS15 - Windows 10). While the laptop recognized the phone, and I could transfer files back and forth, the VSUA (Verizon software upgrade assistant) never responded to having the phone connected. I tried moving the cable from one of the 3 USB 3.0 connections to the sole USB 2.0 connection - still no joy.
Finally, I installed VSUA on another laptop and also tried a different USB cable. It took about 30 seconds, but this time the VSUA actually recognized the phone and offered the update.
The OTA updates had been offered as two files: the first relatively small, and the second 1.1GB. This time, via VSUA, I was only offered a single update - and it was large, and took a long time to download. The install was also pretty slow - but in the end it worked, and the phone was fully updated to the same version that our other two phones were up to after the two OTA updates.
My suggestion: round up a couple of different very good USB cables. Make sure you're using a USB 2.0 port on your computer -- not USB 3.0; I don't know if that's superstition or not, but stories online seem pretty consistent that this is needed to make VSUA recognize your phone, and it worked for me. Make sure your phone is set to "MTP" mode in the USB options when you connect to your PC.
As I noted above, it took several tries on two different laptops, but VSUA finally worked for me, found and installed the update. It takes patience, but should work. Worst case, if you still have no luck, see if you can locate another computer to try - again making sure you're using a USB 2.0 port. I really think that, if you're persistent and methodical, you'll be able to install the update.
So, what's your Android version now? 6.0 or 6.0.1?

I posted this on the Marshmallow 1 of 2 thread under the Droid Turbo 2 General forum, I had the same issue with my wife's phone. I used Verizon SUA utility and was able to update with no problem. Hope this helps.
Apologies if this topic has been covered..
Got my Axon 7 yesterday and inserted my Verizon SIM and everything worked perfect; I didn't have to change a thing. The only thing didn't work for me was the 'R' is permanently on and the phone thinks it's Roaming and wouldn't let me update to Nougat. Out of the box, about two hours after applications have been downloaded, configured, I was able to get 100Mbps in my own driveway, which wasn't available with my old Nexus 6 it replaces.
With the current setup in Android 6.0, I am able to use the Wifi HotSpot via FoxFi. I have the old Unlimited data plan with Verizon and I don't want to give it up.
I would like to keep my phone updated and am aware of the use of a GSM Sim card and manually add APN to get the phone working again when updated to Nougat 7.1.1
Would anyone know if the Wifi HotSpot feature be taken away should I upgrade to Nougat 7.1.1?
Or should I exercise certain caution when upgrading to Nougat?
Cheers,
James
Just got a new security update, prob nothing major, on my note 8. No release notes yet that i see.
Just got it as well. Waiting for that oreo update :/
Its the Dec 1 Android Security Update from what i see. FYI.
Confirmed from Verizon.. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/samsung-galaxy-note8-update/
I got this update as well and ever since then my WiFi has been constantly connecting and disconnecting. Does any one else have this problem? Is there a way I could reflash the update or revert back to the previous one?

Yes, you can revert to the previous version (2BQK2) by following this guide > https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/guide-sm-n950u-u1-t3685884
Is anyone else having WiFi issues? I'm concerned - I use it to telecommute on a Windows 10 workstation via the open vpn app and Microsoft RDP. Solid WiFi is needed for these to work, so this is worrisome.
My wiFi is also having connection problems after the update.
My trusted places is no longer working so now I have to enter my password to unlock the phone every time. Rather annoying.
I haven't had any wifi issues or phone issues post update so far (knock on wood)..
I don't have any wifi issue either.
I had a couple of issues with wifi, but yesterday I got an update [Baseband version
N950USQS2BQL5] and the issue got fix.
Also I got the Note 8 about 2 days ago so there is that too.

Hi guys, recently update OTA to 5.1.7 and now I can't make or receive calls very well. My signal drops from 4G+ to 4G, then 3G, then H+, you can witness it doing this in stages. Sometimes it will connect but mostly the call just disappears. If it does connect, then it will last around 8-10 seconds before disappearing.
I'm currently UK network EE, no root, stock recovery, but with an unlocked bootloader and flashed full 5.1.7 OTA. Not sure if any of this is relevant but I'm about to rip my hair out.
Any help is appreciated!

I haven't got any suggestions other than maybe try replacing the sim card? I'm also on 5.1.7 now, stock no root or anything. I spent a lot of time on the phone today with my boss for work stuff, on speakerphone and the phone worked perfectly.
You've obviously already tried a full reboot? Maybe pull the sim card, clean it and reinstall?

A new software update appears to be available for some carrier-locked note 20 devices(SM-N986U), that's been verified for Sprint & T-Mobile patrons. The build number is:latest o="11">N986USQS2DUE4/N986UOYN2DUE4/N986USQS2DUE4</latest>
<upgrade>
Happy Father's Day to all, where applicable!
Did anyone have a problem with the firmware update? The Mobile Data option in Settings -> Connections is missing on my phone. Because of this, I can no longer switch between 5G and 4G LTE. I've also noticed that my 5G icon is no longer there. Can anyone confirm this?
I did reflash the DUE4 firmware just to see if the setting came back, but, nope. Next attempt will be to flash the previous firmware, DUE1, and see if it comes back.
