Firmware Question - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

I currently have the GS7 (SM-GM930A) Only odin flashable firmware I can find is here I am not new to flashing or root, Just kinda new to the whole samsung firmware deal. My question is this shows its baseband version G930AATT1APB5 and my current version is G930AUCS2APC2. Has anyone with the 930A flashed this firmware successfully while running the same firmware I am running?

Yup, looks like it's for the international model of the phone. At least we're getting something lol. Have you looked at the htc one m9 forums? They have so many roms and kernels already. Type jealous hahaha

Should work on all S6 if I'm not mistaken since it's the same hardware.
**edit: flashed it via Flashify and was able to get into it without any issues on my Canadian S6!

That's because they already had the M9 software over a month ago lol. The rom makers basically already had roms ready before the release date.
I wonder why there is no device tree.
Is it only for S6 or S6 Edge also?

Flashed via flashify on the sprint variant. Took forever to boot into twrp, then when it finally did, touchscreen wouldn't respond so i couldn't do anything.
Everytime i reboot it keeps rebooting into twrp. So i guess im stuck until sprint twrp.img or sprint firmware is released. I can still get into DL mode so whatev.

So you have all options required to do what you need within the all such as wipe etc. If flashing any firmware, yes you'll have to reflash xposed. The great thing about the app is that you can put it in a queue to do it all at once so wipe, flash new firmware, flash xposed, done.

Flash T-Mobile S7 ROM on AT&T S7

Hey XDA,
I just recently purchased a AT&T S7 (SM-G930A). I also just recently found out that AT&T doesn't push updates to non AT&T network phones. I am using the phone with T-Mobile and I was wondering if it was possible to flash the T-Mobile stock rom without tripping Knox or anything of that sort. I remember being able to do this to my AT&T Note 2 back in the day. If it is possible, can someone kindly link me to the file and instructions on how to flash the stock ROM from T-Mobile? Thanks!
You can, however once you do you can't go back. It may be possible in the future, but Tmobile has a v3 bootloader, and AT&T is still on v2 bootloader.

Thank you! One more question, I have the stock T-Mobile ROM and for the CSC, there are two files:
CSC and HOME_CSC
Which one do I choose in Odin for the CSC option?
Thanks
When attempting to flash using Odin 3.12.3, I get this error in the log:
FAIL! SHA256 is invalid
This seems to be because of a corrupt file?
I downloaded the ROM from two different sources now and still I get the same error.
Thanks

So TMobile ROM on 930A . Any issues ? Did you try going back to AT&T ROM
All that talk out bootloader versions and not able to restore back to AT&T ROM
Can you odin Unlocked 930U version ?
I'm using Cricket on AT&T S7 variant and I couldn't get any update from AT&T, which pissed me off. So I decided to flash G930U firmware and I succeeded. But unfortunately, there isn't a single G930U update been released so far, which is quite surprising.
Other than the update, I'm extremely satisfied with the new firmware. It's so fast and clean comparing to my previous bloated AT&T firmware, free of all kinds of overheating, battery dropping, slowing down, crashing, auto-restarting, bugs and lags (Just so you know, my G930A firmware was the newest. I had to take my phone to Best Buy to update. And I used PDP to disable bloatwares). I highly recommend everyone to flash G930U. The new firmware also has an APP called Samsung+. It's very useful and it tells you if it detected slow charging, or reminds you to restart your phone if it hasn't been restarted for a while, etc.
I'm still wondering if I can receive OTA after flashing anther variant firmware, but I can't confirm since there's no update for G930U yet. I'm curious to know if OP could receive any T-Mobile update after flashing.

I flashed to the latest update of the ROM so I can't prove it works. But from what I've heard, after flashing the ROM you need to factory reset the phone so it can unregister from att and register to whatever carrier you are using it on. I am not sure how true this is but I read it somewhere and it seems to make sense.

if you ever switch ROMs please check about the issue of bootloader version and not able to revert back .
Not able to revert back is the only issue keeping me from odin to T mobile ROM
If bootloader version is a problem then you cannot flash 930U firmware also
Is that so ?

I'm not sure what bootloader the G930U has. The att ROM has v2. If it's newer than that, then downgrading isn't possible. Is its the same, then it should be fine.

Hey just a question, I know you changed yours from lollipop 920i to MM 920g (last year)....but when you upgraded to nougat were you already on the Indian marshmallow rom?
I'm asking because I'm thinking about doing mine now but I'm already on AU MM And I'm not looking to soft brick mine.
From what I've read in the S6 forums I think the problem with everyone also failing on sys.img is because of 6.0.1 secure bootloader only allowing matching regional phones to update properly. I think that might be preventing the change from AU to INS MM also.
Has anyone successfully downgraded from 6.0.1(with all the current security updates) to 5.1.1?
Thoughts?
I tried this method using 4 files, System.img fail error. tried to downgrade to Lollipop using 4 files, same System.img fail error. Bummer
