I have rooted/TWRP'd my Nexus 6P and wanted to flash the latest Radio radio-angler-angler-01.29.img
Can I just use fastboot with "fastboot flash radio radio-angler-angler-01.29.img"
I already have latest vendor image. Is it OK to only flash the radio if everything else is working and up to date?
Thanks
Yes, you can fastboot flash the Radio...pretty much anytime.
Yes you can. The latest bootloader is version 3.51 and the radio is 3.61. They both can be found here.
And remember to reboot the bootloader after flashing the bootloader and the radio like this sequence.
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-angler-angler-xx.xxx.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-angler-angler-xx.xx.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
If you are on T-Mobile don't flash the newest radio.

Same here. Does voice over WiFi or voice over LTE work for you? It worked on my Nexus 6 but it doesn't on my 6p running on Metropcs.

Yep, but you'll need to add the metropcs ims APN

Thanks for the info. Do you choose the ims APN or does it only need to be added? What does your MetroPCS 260 look like? I have 2 with the same name. I wanna know which one to delete.

I restored my nexus 4 to complete stock, then unlocked, installed CWM, and flashed CM.
Now my LTE won't work anymore. When I go to change to LTE preferred it always goes right back to WDCMA preferred.
I'm assuming the radio I have is wrong or something?
That and APN settings. Make sure you're on .33 or below for radios.

Is there a best radio for LTE and Nexus 4? Can someone link me to a good radio for LTE? Preferably one where I don't have to re-do the LTE thing everytime I boot the phone.

There are two radios. Yours and the .33 that works with LTE.
There is no radio where you don't have to redo LTE every boot.

I found radios here.
Can I flash this radio with the latest version of CM 10.1 with no problems?
How would I go about flashing the radio? I'm assuming using fastboot? Something like fastboot flash radio filename.img?
Edit:
So it actually was fastboot flash radio filename.zip
I flashed the radio and got no network connectivity at all. Tried to add Bell LTE APN, but when I clicked save, it still listed no APN's. Flashed back to the .48 radio and it works.
Any help?

Rooting and unlocking are two different things.
Rooting = full access to the android system.
Unlocking = network unlocking, so you can use the Robbers S4 on AT&T or another network.

Hey guys,
I used the above guys and managed to install CM 10.2 and it works.. okay.. I have to admit that I want to go back and try a debloated TW Rom again so that I can use the multiwindow, roaming and camera support that comes with the phone.
The biggest issue I have noticed that a number of ROMS do NOT show up in my Goo-Manager. I am guessing it is because of my MDJ Base-band. I have done some searching but cannot find any note of changing from MDJ - to MDL and therefore opening up some ROMS like CleanROM.
Please let me know if you have done anything like this before.
Cheers
Travis
I just messed with the phone and find a way to return to older version. (Flash with your risk). If you accident update the tmobile version and you want to go back to the older version. there's a way to do(so far it is working my rogers moto x). I am not quite sure it will work on bootloader lock device, please becareful.
1. Grab an FXZ rom that belong to your phone
2. Download the update file from this guy
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45866557&postcount=27
3. unzip that file and replace gpt.bin to your FXZ rom folder.
4. flash the rom from RSD Lite.
5. Should be good to go.
If you get this working, please thx to the one who create that zip.:good:
Oh almost forget , for those rogers user and want to use lte on tmobile rom, replace fsg.mbn on fxz tomobile and flash it then you will enable the rogers band lte(you will still get lte even you do the ota update).

That only work if your phone have the band, cause in tmobile ROM, we cant get LTE from their ROM, so I replace the fsg and reflash the the T-Mobile. Then I get the LTE access. That's what I have notice so far, I will try more tomorrow once I have time

There isn't any modem firmware in those files if you checked. Still waiting for a possible Tmobile modem dump. The other way might be QSPT tool if the phone is detected.

To be honest I'm not familiar with how moto does their file structure but poking around in the actual device. The baseband is 100 MB, so just judging by file size I don't think those are the actual modem bin files. I tried the T-mobile 4.3 baseband but got unknown however that was from a 4.3 image, so possibly missing 4.3's slightly file structure probably bootloader.
Work on any rom after update... Delete the gpt.bin line on the xml flash files... You can go back without any problem
Anothers things... Rogers baseband are not optimised with tmobile roms...
Battery drain a lot faster... I will wait...

As any of you who have the m7 know, I created the ruu to convert a sense m7 to a gpe edition complete with ota's. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781
We would like to get all the partitions dumped so that we can use the images to fully convert our normal M8's into full fledged Google Edition Ones.
Before you do ANYTHING with it (before you root, before you flash a recovery etc...) Follow these directions courtesy of cschmitt Found Here This will ensure we get all the partitions
I have pasted the steps below. This will help the community out greatly!
script that uses adb to dump and pull every partition from a One, excluding cache (meaningless) and userdata (to large).
He would need adb and fastboot on his computer, no need for S-off, since we are only reading partitions.
Generally the process would be:
Download a recovery from here: DO NOT FLASH! just download it for now..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698134
Enable USB Developer options and USB debugging on phone.
Connect phone to usb, install drivers from zip folder if prompted.
Copy SuperSU-v1.41.zip to sd card. (outdated just download the latest from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip)
Reboot into bootloader. (Power off, hold power on an vol-down.)
Open command prompt into \htconedump folder.
Unlock bootloader, fastboot oem unlock should do it.
Reboot back into bootloader (via hboot menu.)
From command prompt:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot boot openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.3-m8_ul_ca.img [B](Take note we are not flashing recovery, just booting into it so we can root. If you flash the recovery we will not be able to get the stock GE recovery pulled)[/B]
Once TWRP boots,
do a backup of system, boot and recovery (make sure recovery is ticked as it's usually not) untick data (we don't need it for this)
Now lets see if we have root access in recovery.... While still in recovery open up a command prompt on your computer and type "adb shell" without the quotes.. then if it detects the device type "su" your prompt should change from a $ to a #
if that doesn't work then just contact me and we will figure it out if all fails we can just flash super su and then pull the partitions that way and I can just unroot the system partition before I do the conversion
flash SuperSU-v1.41.zip via TWRP to root device.
If you did get root access at the shell now run this:
Run pullmmc01-37.cmd command script from a windows command prompt.
Zip up the dump directory containing all of the mmcblk0p??.bin files.
I've packaged everything up into a zip file containing ADB, fastboot, HTC drivers, superuser.zip, TWRP image, and the pullmmc01-37.cmd command script.
[/QUOTE]
LINK to download DUMP script. This will dump every partition except userdata and cache (paritions mmcblk0p01-mmcblk0p45, 46 and 47 are cache and userdata)
http://d-h.st/aAg
Also make sure to take note of your CID in the bootloader and also report that in this thread. You can get this by running fastboot getvar all while in the bootloader. The MID and the CID will be listed. Please make note of both.
I would advise anyone doing it that they do it without fully setting up the phone because once you unlock the bootloader it will wipe your data. So boot into android and just skip through the whole set up process because you'll just have to do it again after you unlock the bootloader

If you live in a refarmed 2G area for T-Mobile, than you'll get 4g (aka H+) and be a-okay. T-Mobile LTE will be fine also...given you already live in a lte market.

Hello Nexus 6P users.
I want to lock my LTE band to 3 or 5 because of good signal strength and I was using an app called Network Signal Guru with my previous device Sony Xperia Z5 and everything was working normal, but on Nexus 6P, Google have blocked the access to radio image to modify the settings.
So I searched on the Internet and found this Guide
But there were warnings that I may end up having no signal so is there any safe method to do this and if any one have tried that guide?
Guide - Locking Network bands on Nexus 6P
I already had motherboard replacement once which took 20 days and I don't want to take risk on that again without confirmation.
Please let me know if there is any other method or if someone already tried that guide.
Thanks.
Edit: I went ahead and tried the engineering radio.img file from the Guide link I mentioned above and now I can lock the bands on my Nexus 6P running ABC rom on latest build.

Wanting to lock jio? We are in the same boat...And I've already flashed that Engineered radio few days back via fastboot but the band locking option still didn't come in the app... But there's a friend of me who also did the same thing and he got the band locking option unlocked in the app...and successfully locked his jio band to 3.. now he totally fixed his band fluctuations between 3 and 5 and signal drops...
