My brother's Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7102 / G7102XXUAML4 got a bootloop bricked, he tried flashing to install it a new room and something went wrong and now it's bricked.
When I turn it on appears the Samsung logo and isn't passing it.
In the download mode:
Could not do normal boot.

CURRENT BINARY: Custom

I don't have any idea how to unbrick it, I have been googling and looking for the generic rom (Firmware SM-G7102 / G7102XXUAML4) and I can't find one which is working, all the links are missing or asking payment way.
Could you help me to unbrick it?
Thanks.
Download the firmware according to your country---->

Extract (unzip) the firmware file using winrar or any archiver
You will find Odin Folder In it if you don't, then google it and download it.
Extract ODIN zip file(if you have downloaded otherwise its in a folder extracted from the firmware)
Now boot your phone into Download Mode (First switch off , then press and hold Volume Down, Power, Home button)
Now connect your device to pc.
Start Odin. (as administrator)
And then Click PDA(or AP), select .md5 file
click start.
Now after 8-10 minutes you will boot back to stock rom (unrooted) 4.3

Download the file abobe extract the file.
Do the rest of things. Best of luck
1. Download and extract a zip file containing your desired firmware.
2. Open Odin Tool.
3. Boot your device in the "Download Mode":
Press Volume Down, Power and Home buttons at same time for 5-8 seconds until download mode is active.
4. Connect your device to PC via the USB cable while in download mode.
5. Next, check the "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" options in Odin Tool.
6. Hit the AP/PDA button then browse and select a tar.md5 file from the extracted folder.
7. Finally press the start button to begin flashing the firmware update on your device.

It happened to me to, install samsung kies and restore the firmware

Hi all,
Please bear with me, I'm in way over my head here and don't understand most of what I've done. I was experimenting when I probably shouldn't have been.
So, I installed DarkLord's Note 7 kernel and rom. I found it to be quite buggy and am now wanting to wipe my phone and install Phronesis-N9005-N7-v6.0.
Problem is, when trying to boot into TWRP, I'm met with the the following:
ODIN MODE
Product name: SM-N9005
Current binary: Custom
System status: Official
Reactivation lock(kk): Off
Knox Kernel lock: 0x0
Knox warranty void: 0x1
Qualcomm secureboot: Enable (csb)
Rp swrev: S2, T2, R2, A3, P3
Write protection: Enable
UDC start
Downloading...
Do not turn off target
I've had it on for hours and it didn't do anything.
I managed to reboot it and it ran as it did before, in Darklords rom.
I read I have to install the official firmware and install it via Odin but I can't find anything about my device. On the back of it, it says:
SM N9005
FCC ID - A3LSMN9005
SNN - N9005GSMH
When I enter it into sammobile, nothing comes up.
Have I got this wrong? Should I be looking for something else?
You are booting to download mode not recovery .
Boot to recovery TWRP
#N9005 model firmware are on sammobile etc.

Booting into recovery via TWRP manager just results in the same Odin screen for me
As for the firmware - I'm not really sure which region I should pick out of those. I just thought this was an international model, but then I downloaded an app called Phone INFO and it tells me it's Vietnam. Could this be because of the rom already on there? It does also say it's a Note 7, so I'm assuming it's incorrect.
TWRP manager
DO NOT USE just boot to recovery via the vol up home and power buttons as normal .
Copy Phronesis to ext sd card and flash as per instructions .
You have N9005 Pick your area /network where you are .
Phone Info can only go by what's on your phone and you flashed DarkLord's Note 7 firmware .
Booting via manager was a last resort. I was trying the usual way and it also resulting in the same thing.
Boot to download/ Odin mode flash stock rom .
Thanks JJEgan, I figured out how to use Odin3 and Odin mode, then install Phronesis. All is good now
Hi,
I have bought a second life Samsung Note 3 ( SM-N9005 ) here in the Netherlands.
I was so tempted to install a custom ROM, that I immediately installed TWRP with Odin v3.09. It took me several times to install TWRP 3.3.0-0, as the phone returned with its own T-mobile logo. (I had forgotten to set the developers options before doing something.)
Then I tried to install lineage-16.0-20190907-nighty-hlte-signed.zip file via TWRP. It fails with an error 7.
and: E3004: This package is for device: hlte, hltespr, hltexx; this device is hltechn.
(does this means there is a (replaced) main-board in this phone?)
I have updated the modem and bootloader files via Odin, selected BL with the file N9005_Nordic_XXUGPQB1-Modem_XXSGBQD1-Bootloader.tar. But I can't see if this has succeeded or not. TWPR doesn't see this file on my SD card, so I used Odin.
Is there a way to get around this and install LineageOS 16.0 on this phone?
It shows only the booting logo SM-N9005, but then it 'hangs'.
TMobile are you sure its an N9005 .
Boot to download mode to check .
There is a placard under the battery, stating: model SM-N9005 SSN: -N9005GSMH
in download mode:
Odin mode
product name: SM-N9005
current binary: Custom
system status: Custom
reactivation lock: Off
qualcomm secureboot: enable (CSB)
RP swrev: S2, T2, R2, A3, P3
secure download: enable
udc start
TWRP should not see your tar file only Odin .
I was able to install TWRP. When I boot in recovery mode, TWRP starts fine.
When I try to install LineageOS zip file and trying to install LineageOS, it fails with an error 7.
This package is for device: hlte, hltespr, hltexx; this device is hltechn.
How can a phone, that shows to be an EU model sm-n9005, coming up with a message it is a hltechn, in TWRP?
I have spent enough time and money on this phone. -- Project cancelled --
Lucky the phone came with a nearly new, Samsung cover.
So my own original Note 3 with Lollipop, looks as new again.
Hallo,
I got a Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) from a friend of mine. He did'nt know, what happens. The phone became very hot, made vibration-Noise and was not able to start it anymor.
I also tried to start the phone, but it got a boot-Loop.
So I thought to reflash the phone.
I am able to start the Download-MenĂ¼ (Vol - + Power + HOME). The Recovery-MenĂ¼ did not start finally. It hang.
So first I wanted to put an original Samsung-ROM to the Phone. But where can I get the right one?
On the sticker in under the accu is written:
Model: GT-I9505SSN: -I9505GSMH
When I start the Download-Modus and connect it with ODIN, I can read the following:
ODIN MODE
Product Name: GT-I9505
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0KNOX WARRANTY LOCK: 0x0
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
eMMC BURST MODE enable
I searched this forum and the net, but I did'nt get a Firmware-Image, the I was able to flash finally with ODIN to the phone.
I start ODIN with ADMIN-Rights and the KIES-App is deletet from the processes. The Samsung-USB-drivers are installed and the phone was found in ODIN.
Could anybody of You give me a way-sign where I have to read the solution of the problem? Or could anybody of you explain the process of flashing?
THanks a lot for your help.
with best regards

Sammobile.com for the firmware. Unzip the firmware, select "AP" in Odin, and point to the extracted tar.gz image. Odin should then flash the image.
