i was specting at least, water proof, The new Sony Z1 looks tempting, the only thing holds me back is the big screen Note series :crying:

Very cool, soft touch back looks great, love the new S Pen features. Will be picking this up at launch, but it would've had to be truly terrible for me not to at this point.

If you have a Note2, why disappointing? So far looks like a software and size bump. Not worth it for most of us to upgrade unless it's the time for you, but I'm not disappointed. If my Note2 ever completely explodes I'll get a 3.

It’s finally got pop-up apps (vs. two sizable parallel windows) which the Note 10.1 has had since launch. They are so much more flexible and productive. TW doesn't look to have changed much but how it works, at least on the N3, seems to have been pretty heavily revised. The camera's huge so I'd assume some pretty trick stuff is going to be announced. Also, there are no speakers on the front or the back. Dual speakers (one on each side) maybe? We'll know soon.
P.S. - I hope it comes in brown.

Yeah! The N3 has Qualcomm's RF360 which means it will support all available LTE bands. Unlocked N3's will work on any carrier worldwide and support LTE roaming (assuming it's provided by your carrier).

I really don't like it, and I'm a huge Samsung freak.

Dell Venue 11 Pro vs HP Omni 10 tablet

Hello,
Does anybody have any input or on hand use of each tablet to make a fair comparison or opinions?

Well, I'm asking the same question, it's hard to say...
Same processor, memory et resolution, battery life...
But the venue 11 pro has bigger screen (10'8 vs 10'1), SSD (64gb vs 32), NFC and better accessories (but expensive...)
In France, the HP Omni is $100 less than the Venue...I don't know wich one to choose either
I'm going to check the HP in a store, it's available since yesterday...Maybe I'll come back with it

please report here your impressions about omni 10 if you can see in store...i preordered on amazon.it (399 euro) but i'm not sure if buy this or the asus t100. BTW both are not available in italy at now (as the venue 11)

So I saw the HP Omni 10 and it looks good, looks solid.
Everything looked smooth. the 2gb memory worries me a little but even the Venue has only 2gb...
The screen brightness was at the max and it doesn't felt that way... maybe the store was super bright, it don't know...not a big deal I guess...
I will go back this afternoon and buy it...
In France the Venue is actually around 600 euros with taxes and shipping...The Omni is 400 euros...so I've made my choice...
I think at this price you can't have better... the T100 does have a keyboard but looks much cheaper and the omni has a better processor and is full hd (1920/1200 actually) !
My only concern will be to find a decent cover/case with - if possible - a keyboard...the galaxy note 10.1 has similar build maybe it can work with its accessories...

how do you feel the screen comparing to other tablets (color, brightness)? i.e. micosoft surface or ipad? what about viewing angles and the matt finish?

wiewing angles are good, it's no retina but it's good. I'm not blown away but it's good (for the price)

venue 11, omini 10 and T100 are good value but looks crap .Nokia 2520 and surface 2 looks awesome but runs a crap os.

I've had the omni10 for a couple days now. I am enjoying it. I am coming from a surface rt.
Screen - Crisp and bright. I have no complaints other than blacks could be darker but its not amoled so my expectations are just off I guess. Viewing angles are nice. Not the best ever but colors don't get washed out. The issue is the reflections on the screen if in a bright room. There is no light creeping from the corners of the screen like the surface rt.
Memory - I've had no issue. I have run mail, calendar, games in the background, had a vpn running and Firefox with multiple tabs without issue.
Weight and feel - its a soft plastic, similar to venue pro 8 but without the pattern. It does not collect fingerprints and feels good, not slippery which is good for a tablet. I picked up my iPad and weight is comparable when in the smart case. Maybe Omni is a little lighter and thinner (when iPad is in the case).
Touch is responsive. It might be useful to get a stylus though. Working in desktop mode with touch sometimes registers incorrect touches or you have to touch multiple times. Ive only noticed this in desktop mode.
Speed - its zippy when opening apps. Night and day from coming from a surface rt. It takes a while to install non metro apps though. I think this has something to do with the hard drive.
Bonus - I really like that HP put the recovery on an 8gb flash drive. It leaves you with space and removes you having to manually move recovery to your own flash drive like people buying the vp8. I thought it was a thoughtful thing by HP.
Heat - gets a little hot just on the HP logo on the back. Other than that it runs comfortable.
Lastly, I've seen some accessories for the Omni 10. I think there is a case and dock. Both are not as good as other ones for baytrail tablets but I dont mind. I really like this has micro hdmi, micro USB and a power connector. It allows me to use peripherals while charging and connect to my hd monitor without hacking or any problems.

Will the Note 4 have full RBG and beautiful metallic feel back like the Note 2 instead of the Note 3's pentile screen and ugly cow skin back?

Actually, I saw the revised model, it's a watch type interface that when you move your hand into a certain position uses lasers to project a hologram phone into your hand.... Really awesome as you can use a certain setting to change it into what you want (you pay for the shape of course)... Hello those burger phones of the 80's... :silly:

No, but again, this article is all supposition with no firm answers... Just a "leak" about what might be on it.
As such, my previous comment can be considered what could be due to the fact you can have lasers make holograms and the HOT smart watch does in fact allow your hand to be used as a handpiece to make/receive calls....

true, I'm defo looking forward to see what the watch is going to be like, the first one was such a miserable fail and totally over priced that they have to have made a real effort this time around

According to an article on Android Authority the difference between 1440p and 1080p is slighty noticeable on smartphones.

But assuming the 1440p screen is a battery drainer, I would probably go for the superior performance / battery life on a similar 1080p device

I've heard it's sony then samsung and the most crappiest is omnivision which I have. I don't have a keen eye on differentiating good from bad photos. I'm a point and shoot person and don't care much about quality. It's all the same to me. Regardless of the camera brand, this phone is dirt cheap anyway so why bother.

i suggest EVERYONE to not buy this phone at all..all you will get it now is (Omnitech Sensor, qtech_ov13855)
because they start this model this year with sony sensor...after that they replaced with Samsung sensor and now new releases all them with Omnitech Sensor
so..
if your lucky ..you will get as same as old Redmi note 4 which Samsung
or for sure Omnitech Sensor, qtech_ov13855
and totally forget about Sony ....cuz they are GONE...

i consider himself super lucky....but before that we should ask ourself...why we will enter a gambling thing if what we targeted is 1 to 3
you cant open the box and check before you buy ...that's normal
there is alot of phones in the market better than this...and adding between 20-50 $ to another is not that much to get better ...

i know the P2 (i also play with it!) ... **** Rom Support and the feeling in the hand is also not so nice as 4x, ... and not 150 Euro.
For more money i can get always better phones ... but for 150 the 4x is the best!

Yes, like a good Rom for daily use, the official Lineage works with all 3 cams ... i test it, i have all Note 4x with all 3 cams here.

could try and see if you can get a samsung s4 mini, like my other phone,
that is 4 inch and quite small, but less ram and storage space and slower CPU.

Not oreo , but the nightly for LOS 14 yes,
Ive got the 3g model, and it works brilliantly, does everything I could possible want
and batteries are a lot easier to try find.
