Any idea where can I find one for N4?
I've been thinking the same thing myself. My only concern is that as the iPhone is so widely available that the accessories will be made for it, but will a company make accessories for a platform with such a wide range of devices?
These r available for Samsung phones too, since they r popular as well. But then again, so is N4.. I just hope we get such a case. I used to carry one with 4s and it was really very handy, compared to portable battery packs.
Charging Case
I have never seen a case like this before. I have been waiting for a hardback card carrying case. But if something like this became available I would defiantly get this instead.
I liked the rugged protection of the PRO case and how they redirect the speaker to the front of the phone. So annoying holding your hand against the back of your phone to try and hear things better
These types of cases are notorious for breaking your USB port in your phone. However, I'd LOVE to have a Qi version of one of these things. Then it shouldn't add a significant amount of height to your phone, mostly just thickness as expected.
I have used such a case for 4s for over a year.. I surely stopped working after that but it was for $ 20 only so u cannot complain really.

Here's one I saw in another thread. It's bulky and expensive imo. I emailed them to ask if they could make one for half the size and battery for half the price. Well see. On a side note I think these kind of companies should add usb slots to easily add hdd and stuff .

They responded and apparently they already have a smaller version. It's still too pricey for the use I personally would get out of it. Anyone else interested? Has usb port built in to.

Hi-
We've recently added the USB power out port on selected versions of our chargers - primarily the thinner lighter versions. You can charge any devices up to 2A. The Nexus version we've made in a 1250 & 2500mah slim (15mm) version - besides the standard 5000mah version which is 21mm thick. The thinner versions are much lighter as well - less than 1/2 the weight.
What are you looking for in terms of features/price?
Here are the Nexus 4 versions:
custompowersolar.com - produtcs - LG
We make the cases using 3D printing, so can be easily customized. You can get a full color image printed on the case with our Sculpteo partner. Devlivery time is typically 5-10 days depending on options - many units we have in stock.
We also make versions for iphone5 in 1500mah and 5000mah, Galaxy S3, HTC DNA, iphone 4/4s, iPad and iPad Mini.
All models also can be purchased with a camera/tripod mount - 1/4-20 screw holes on the side & bottom for easy attachment to a tripod.
The X Bracket allows you to mount any smartphone to a tripod - we also have a ball swivel, bike mount, and hang glider mount.
If you have something special you want, contact us - we're having too much fun designing and building products with 3D printers.
Any one have experience with these cases I'm thinking about trying one

OK my short review from having the LG G4 for 6 days now! Just as background, I luckily got the phone through a workmate i know in South Korea so the one i have is the South Korean model. Also, the South Korean version gives you something that is a bloody lifesaver and just so useful and you wish you'd always had one: an extra battery. More on that later.
So I have been using the Nexus 6 since launch and love it. To me at least it's been great – big screen, big development on XDA (I love custom roms/kernels and flashing in general) and over all a phone that i have loved. The only issues i have had really are: the screen is ok but could be better, the camera is ok and could be better and it is heavy and hefty so I use it one-handed but only just. It's a monster!
So last few months have been looking for something not quite as big with a better camera and better screen. I tried both the S6 and S6 Edge and sold them within a few days. Mostly because i think they are just too small and poky or something. S6 Edge was too sharp for me.
Along comes the G4! And if you don't want to read the boring detail below then in short: I love it and haven't really seen any faults at all.
Boring Detail:
Battery:
Here's a tricky one as i have always had decent battery on all phones i get. And all i do is read the same thing over and again on battery threads everywhere: 'i get only 2 hours Screen on Time help!' and then 'i get 7 hours Screen on Time and i'm amazing!'. The problem is the same: every person's usage pattern and apps and mobile reception is different so this all accounts for differing Screen on Time. So – FOR ME – i am getting consistently around 5 to 5.5 hours Screen on Time which is perfectly fine. So i reckon on MOST of the current flag ships you'd be getting pretty similar SOT.
However the one big bloody glaring thing about the South Korean model is that extra battery and that right there should solve pretty much ALL battery issues. So I just have the extra battery in the charging case attached to a USB cable on my computer. If I have gotten low on a day where i have the used phone a lot then 38 seconds later i have swapped batteries for the new 100% one! How good is that! Do yourself a favour and get a spare battery! No doubt they will be available shortly.
Two things that reviews are singling out as ‘cons’ which I think is just silly.
Wireless charging. I love wireless charging and until you use it a lot you don’t realise how convenient it is. I also have two Tylt Vu chargers and they are expensive so i want a device that uses wireless charging! Ok so the G4 has wireless charging CAPABILITY meaning that you need a different back than the one that comes with it and it will work.
Already LG has said that the G4 circle case will have that. So all I will be doing is waiting for the inevitable Shenzen rip off sticker that you stick inside your case that gives me wireless charging. I will give it 4 weeks max before they are on Ebay for $5.
Quick charging. There’s this boring debate that the G4 did not include Quick Charging 2.0 even though Qualcom have it in their chip. Big deal! What you do get is the 1.8 Quick Charge which isn’t quite as good but is still perfectly acceptable! In my testing it charges a bit over 1% per minute. Which is just fine.
Feel:
Sorry about the pretentious term ‘feel’ but it’s the best way of describing a major kick ass thing this phone has! It is just the BEST weight, feel and hold of any phone i’ve owned. It’s not light, it’s not heavy. It’s not small and it’s not phablety big. It is juuuuuuuust right. Dunno what it exactly is – maybe the slight bend? But it’s great.
Leather. I would never in a squillion years think i would own a leather phone or that the leather would work. But it does. Looks good, feels great, is great. Photos do not do it justice. I got the black weather which i love but if i was to buy it again the brown/tan i think could be the pick. If you get the plastic to save a few bucks then, um, don’t!
Camera:
Not going to go into detail because every review already has and i am not a manual camera person. I am Mr Point and Shoot. Suffice to say it takes very good photos. Had it over the weekend at Adelaide with relatives and photos turned out great.
Lag/Stutter/UI Blah:
Ok so on EVERY phone i own i remove the stock launcher and install an aftermarket one because guess why? They’re better. Don’t understand why people cry about the OEM launcher when the aftermarket ones are installed within 16 seconds and are better anyway.
Stutter/lag – again this is another topic that i don’t understand. I really haven’t had a phone that suffered at all from this. I ALWAYS change the animation three options to 0.5 in Developer Options and this often is more than enough. Don’t need to be rooted and takes 14 seconds – why wouldn’t you do it? In general though, i have not had stutter or lag in this phone at all.
The Knock Code to turn on screen. Sorry but every phone that doesn’t have this should get that as a ‘con’. It is just soooo convenient. Love it.
Notification shade works well. Lots of options, lots of shortcuts to choose.
Notification light – a no brainer and dunno why the Nexus 6 didn’t have it and i had to install a custom ROM to get it. It works and works fine.
Ability to change nav bar buttons around and add a couple more. Love this as i always like my back button on the right not the left.
These little customisations are what really makes the UI i think. So handy.
Display:
Great. Bright and similar when i had the S6 as a stand out. Reviews have covered it pretty well too – is an excellent colourful display. LG got it right.
Sound:
Decent! I just don’t use my phone to listen to stuff except for headphones but is loud and ok. Not as good as HTC but good for a phone.
Weird big bloody LCD density:
Here’s a weird thing which no review has mentioned which is the only thing that really annoyed me: the density is 620! Meaning that things are huge! Everything looked like a huge fonted behemoth! And without root i wasn’t able to use the easy way of changing the density via build.prop and eventually had to do it via hooking it to the PC and using Android SDK tools and change it to 540.
Overall:
Found a phone that for me at least satisfied most of what i want in a phone very well. And i haven’t even missed using a custom rom because you can’t root it yet! Never thought i’d say that. So once everyone has it in a month then hopefully development will mean it is even better!
Oh and get the effin leather purlease!!
Thank you for this nice review! Really appreciate it
That was a bloody useful review. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. I'm on a GN4 but as usual itching for my 6 month change...
Q how is the speakerphone? GN4 is excellent. Is it loud? I was a little disappointed by the g3.
The.pixel density issue is interesting. I loved the g3, but for some reason I found it difficult to read text. Even when I changed the size. Partly it's my middle age eyesight but it's not an issue i suffer from with the galaxy note series or even s5. Could never figure out why I found the g3 difficult to read. Perhaps it's that pixel density.

Yes the speaker is definitely loud. It is on the back of the phone though and is just one speaker. I wouldn't say quality is great but definitely loud.
Yes so weird about the LCD density! But yeah if you like big text then all good.
Great review, we are all hopeful we get root, bootloader unlock and Roms as well.
After installing the alternative home launcher, have you had any issues with the Knock On or Knock Off feature?

Nope knock on/off works great still with alternative launcher.
I have read in only 1 review the leather is kind of poorly attached to the plastic back. How nice is the leather attached? Does it wrap around the edges and conceal any plastic back? Clean install?

Seriously it's great. Photos don't do it justice though. It's hard leather but looks and feels really sturdy and just matches the phone.
It doesn't wrap around all the edges though.

So what does it do? I must wrap all the way around the edges of the plastic back it is attached it? if it does not, it would peel up. I am talking about wrapping around all of the edges of the plastic back so NO plastic back is seen along the edges. Not wrapping around the entire phones back

This is great news thank you for confirming this, appears that owners of the G3 and G2 were forced to use 3rd party apps to enable one or both of those features when using an alternative home launcher. Im assuming you are using Nova Launcher, I have also always installed that stable application on top of whatever manufacturer I buy.
What is something that has surprised you the most about the G4?
Any feature or something unique from that phone that reviewers or users have not thought of bringing up?

Surprised is definitely me loving the leather when I thought it would be too garish.
The only thing reviewers haven't brought up was that annoying LCD density!

Ok yeah.... as I had expected and hoped.. it does wrap around the edges of the battery door. So, you do not see the leather end and then some plastic of the back battery door. And, agreed, and as expected, it does not wrap leather up around the edges of the phone, just the battery door - so it is a nice clean finish.

Can you expand a bit on how you addressed the density? I know you said "hooking it to the PC and using Android SDK tools and change it to 540.". I would modify in build.prop as you mentioned, but no root so no way so I am not so sure what you mean here how you accomplished this tweak.

Can the G4 turn Chrome into a free floating window?
Great review, very informative.
I passed on the G3 after really liking the G2 mostly due to the locked BL. I hope LG provides the ability to unlock it this time around like Sony and HTC do.
Or someone here cracks it much faster than it happened on the G3 which took what seemed like forever.

It's Amazing.
And no, this isn't a case of "This feature is great because I have never used it", it's the scanner that's amazing. My iPhone 5S's touch ID would fail MULTIPLE times per day. I haven't ever experienced a fail on my nexus imprint, even when I am straight out of a shower. Did I mention it's super fast and doesn't even require tapping the power button?
The new iPhone 6s scanner is just as fast but I'm with you. This scanner is top notch. Beats the s6 by a mile

I had to put in "wet" prints for it to unlock. Yes, this is a amazing feature
My finger was mysteriously dry though... Also I purposely put some moisture on my fingers and my scanner and it works! Holy cow this is amazing compared to my 5S which won't unlock even with a dry finger.

I'm not sure I agree. I have a 6S for work and in side by side comparisons the finger print scanner on the 5X is actually just a hair faster every single time. But what I love most (about both) is that the scanner has never failed a single time for me with either phone. That's the most important part.
I have noticed that sometimes it just will not register a print no matter what position my finger is in. Its almost like the scanner stopped working, this has happened maybe two or three times. Last time it happened the phone was in airplane mode and I was just using it after my morning alarm.

Try washing your hands.
I have both the S6 and the N5X, and the 5X blows the S6's FPS out by MILES.
Like, I don't know about your guys, but my thumb naturally rests at a sideways angle when I'm in my GS6, so having my thumb scan upwards was a pain. Instead, I opted to scan it sideways. And it works... For the most part...
And that "for the most part" means that it doesn't catch my scan all the time, due to it being sideways. I actually had to set up two different positions of scans for the S6, one of the topmost of my thumb, and one for the lower part. Even then, it stills gets it about 8.5/10 times.
But my N5X, though..... Every. Single. Time.

I have never used any fingerprint scanners other than the 5S, but let's just say that Google and LG did quite an amazing job with the sensor. It works every single time. And the best thing is, the placement is quite natural. It's so natural that I am actually having trouble NOT unlocking the phone when I am just holding it.
That"s a new level of natural.
Has anyone have trouble with their fingerprint sensor not working while their phone is plugged into the charger? (stock charger)
When plugged in sometimes says "finger moved too fast" or just does not register. Cannot even add a new fingerprint while charging. The most I get is it registers the first tap then nothing.
Otherwise it works perfectly when not plugged in.

I'm the same way, it's almost annoying how easy it unlocks. Though I would rather have the problem of it unlocking too easily rather than too difficult (as has been with any other android fingerprint scanner)

Mine has been really consistent too - I guess it's the adjustment it has you do but even if my hands are wet, dry, whatever it works great, no matter what angle you hit it at.
What be really cool if there was a way to hack it to give us a scroll feature when reading.
Nexus 5x or n6P were not the first on the fingerprint reader. But they implemented it like it should be.
I must admit, after never using any security on my phone(and always feeling a little uneasy about it) due to the incumbrance, I love the fingerprint scanner. And love the position.
+1,this is one of my favorite thing's about n5x. Sometime when having my phone laying on the table I wish the fingerprint scanner would be in front panel of device.

I saw one on Xposed called "MaxLock"... Not the most stable of things to say the least, but...
I had an s6 for a year that i sold for a note5, then traded my note 5 64gb in for this. While the phone is sleek, sexy, better processor etc im not a fan on the edge screen. Its basically useless. Its just a cool factor to show off. It serves no special purpose. While i knew this and decided to upgrade thats totally my homer dough moment. Everything else about the phone is awesome. The reason im regretting it because anything that needs to be touched on the actual edges doesnt freaking respond. For example. I have to hit the letter p a couple times because it doesnt always register. I hope i can live with this lol. As it kind of takes away screen real estate. This goes for any app. Try it yourself. Maybe something is wrong with mine idk. Phone seems perfect other than it having edges. Sorry for the vent, but id test this out in stores first before you buy since i didn't do it. I already sent off my note 5 so i doubt i can get it back.

Works fine for me.
it has a ton of edge features you just may not no it. edge feeds edge lighting notifications, quick launch anything from right edge fully customizable. if you have the phone on face down the edge light will periodically flash alerts. while the screens off take your finger and swipe it back and for on the edge. wow news feeds notifications stock tickers all customizable
Make sure you apply the update mine works just fine and I love the edge screen it has a lot of options that are handy for me that I can get to quickly
I'm liking the new Edge features. I use it more now.

The problem that I have run into and maybe this really what is going on with you. I have stuff not respond to realize the my pinky is touching the edge of the screen. You really got to watch for that.

I have that issue and if I hold it in my left hand, the bottom left corner my palm touches, I can't use the phone left handed. The update fixed the right palm touching the screen, but my left palm has issues.
The a key has a lot of difficulty with the edge. I've learned to work around it; I primarily swype/slyde/whatever it's called to type, so it's only with passwords that I have an issue.
I remember a few years ago I used to be able to swype passwords; I hate having to manually key each letter. It may be safer, but whatever.
I had the same issue when I first began using my s7 edge. I then moved the edge tab to the top of the phone screen and I haven't had an issue since. I use Swiftkey for my keyboard, best available in my opinion.
No problems with the Edge screen here, and I like some of the functionality it offers. Of course, almost all of those functions could work with a flat screen, too, but Samsung didn't give us that option.
Hi,
Coming from a much smaller device (iPhone 5s), i would like to know if it is possible to handle the S7 Edge one handed.
I recently tried a friend's Nexus 6P and as amazing as it is, i couldn't type a message using only one hand without feeling that the phone is going to drop any second, and all of those far stretches with my thumb made my hand tired.
Cheers!
In settings look under advanced features for "one handed operation" play around with that and see if its something that helps

Honestly, coming from an iPhone 5s ( 4 inch phone), it's gonna feel unwieldy. It will most likely feel "too big", however this is probably the most ergonomic "big" phone you will find. I used to have the note series (note 2, 3, 4, not 5), and that was always my biggest gripe. You get used to it but ultimately there was always a moment where I would feel that it was too big (wouldn't fit in cup holder, needed special mount, etc.) I recently switched back to a "normal" sized phone and had the s6 for about a year.
Recently, I switched to the s7 edge. Results: I absolutely love it. Can still one hand the phone, but also have bigger screen. It feels like cheating. Big phone in "normal" phone footprint. To me, Samsung hit a home run in design.
TL;DR - That was a long way of saying, go to your local best buy or electronics store and hold it in your hand. Feel the shape, etc. But ultimately me doing that and then owning it, I haven't regretted it. Btw it fits in a cup holder. [emoji2] Lol

Honestly, coming from an iPhone 5s ( 4 inch phone), it's gonna feel unwieldy. It will most likely feel "too big", however this is probably the most ergonomic "big" phone you will find. Thank you very much! The "long" response is much appreciated.
You're probably right, i just need to try it out myself.
This phone seems close to perfect to me, if it only had usb-c, better speakers and faster updates it would have been perfect... I'm going to buy i anyways =]

Honestly, I understand the speakers and faster updates. But at this point the benefits of TouchWiz outweigh the benefits of stock to me. Speakers will always be a pain point as long as they are not boom sound lol
As far as USB-C, I will take fast charging everyday over USB-C. When they make a USB-C fast charge, then sign me up.
But honestly, I've been around the phone game a while (see sig lol). This is definitely as close to perfect as you can get. The notoriously iPhone leaning The Verge site even rated S7 edge higher than the iPhones. Take that for whatever it's worth. Good luck, hope you love it. I do.

Yes you can
Its not related to the size of ur smartphone . The exact issue with you , is you are not use to with big screen size . Yes it will take some time but you can use it by one hand
I can comfortably use the device with one hand on many main task like making calls, quick short messages, browse the webs, browse the device... despite the fact that I am a fairly small person (man, 163cm). There is nothing, really, nothing you can complain about this phone. It runs Touchwiz but it is as fast as the stock Android, no more bloatwares and some benefits of touchwiz like edge screen is great. The grip is great, no more discomfort from sharp edges, the device sits nicely in your hands like it belongs there, you will have a hard time putting it down because it feels so good.
Coming from iPhone 6 and I'm absolutely fell in love with the S7e.

Sorry for the newbie question but how is the s7 outweigh stock Android?

It has some Samsung's exclusive-built factors like the edge screen, always on display, edge panels, etc...
